Boot camp

You?ll challenge both your cardiovascular system and your muscles in our boot camp class. With the use of kettleballs, slam balls, ropes and more in this fun, intense workout!

Fuse

Cardio Fuse is a fun combination of cardio and resistance training Fuse blends kickboxing, aerobics, dance and plyometrics for an intense cardio workout, and utilizes versa loops for resistance training.

Surge

Great Music + HIIT Cardio + Weight Training -

Result This is a great combination of popular exercise techniques, scientific research, great music and fun SURGEclasses utilize minimum equipment, just a set of dumbbells, a mat, and some space to move

Cycle

Cycle

This class uses the stationary bike for a cardiovascular workout that is led by an instructor who will take you on a different ride each time you come to class Group cycle classes can be very intense, but beginners can cycle as well Remember to let your instructor know you are new and they will guide your through the class

Rip & Ride

In this class instructors will combine the intense cardio of a cycle class with the strengthening benefits of resistance training exercise. This is a great class for participants of all fitness levels as intensity can be increased or decreased depending on the student

Mind/Body Classes

YOGA

Strengthen and open tight areas of the body like the shoulders and muscles of the upper body. This can help you keep good posture. Develop body awareness Yoga requires you to contract or relax specific muscles as you stretch into each pose

Pilat es

This is a great workout that targets the front and back of the torso, inner and outer thighs and glutes.

Barre

Barre helps develop muscular endurance through a combination of movements derived fromyoga, Pilates and dance. Often participants use either body weight or very light weights to performsmall isolating movements Modifications and progressions make this a workout for most fitness levels

Body Shaping

Use a variety of equipment frombands, balls, hand weights, and more to increase muscular strength and endurance. Participants at all fitness levels are welcome as weight, intensity and repetitions can be modified for individuals

This class will help you become stronger by using heavier weights and fewer repetitions This class is great for individuals looking to take their strength workout to the next level.

BodyCombat is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact Punch and kick your way to fitness No experience needed Learn moves fromKarate, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

SH'BAM

Sh'Bamis a fun-loving, insanely addictive dance workout In an ego-free zone, with no dance experience required. All you need is a playful attitude and a cheeky smile, so forget being a wallflower. If you walk in thinking you can't, you will walk out knowing you can!

Women on weights connects 3-5 women with a personal trainer that teaches themcorrect and safe use and progression of pin-loaded and plate-loaded equipment, free weights, and other exercise modalities. This is a great programto learn weight roomtechniques, build confidence and create community with other women Training groups meet one day a week for 4 weeks

With a wide range of equipment at your disposal, we offer this free orientation to help familiarize you with our entire fitness facility to make your workouts more efficient and effective

Personal Training

These individual training sessions are for anyone interested in learning how to make the most of their workouts. Whether you need to lose weight, tone up, train for a specific event, or change your current exercise routine, these sessions will allow you to benefit one-on-one with your trainer at an affordable price

Blood Pressure Self- Monit oring Program

This 4-month programhelps those suffering with high blood pressure to learn to properly take blood pressure and to develop the habit of consistently monitoring their blood pressure During the program, participants will meet with specially trained YMCA staff regularly, attend nutrition seminars and will receive their own blood pressure monitor to have at home

The YMCA's Diabet es Prevent ion Program

This year-long programhelps those that have been diagnosed with prediabetes or those that are at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes learn to make lifestyle changes that will reduce their risk of developing the disease

SilverSneakers Classic

Silver Sneakers Classic concentrates on improving strength and flexibility so daily living activities become easier. It's a fun way to stay in shape and increase social interaction Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support

SilverSneakers EnerChi

Silver Sneakers EnerChi introduces modified tai chi forms. Linking forms together in a guided flow increases strength and vitality In EnerChi you will teach participants the foundations of weight transfer and rhythmic movement along with awareness and focused breathing

SilverSneakers Yoga

Silver Sneakers Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses Chair support is offered to safely performa variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity

SilverSneakers Boom Move

A higher intensity dance workout class that improves cardio endurance and burns calories BoomMove is all about breaking a sweat and having fun The class focuses on cardio endurance by starting with simple dance moves then building moves into more complex sequences

SilverSneakers Circuit

This class offers standing low-impact moves that alternate with standing upper-body strength This class can be adapted for all fitness levels

EnhanceFit ness

This class is designed for individuals looking for a safe, effective no/low impact exercise option. The one-hour classes offer exercises to improve cardiovascular function, balance, flexibility and strength with the purpose of making activities of daily living easier. This class can be done standing or seated Meets three times a week and registration is required

In Y Afterschool your child will have the opportunity to participate in programs such as enrichments, crafts, STEM activities, and so much more! A snack is provided for students daily. ChildWat ch

ChildWatch is offered as a free service for members with family memberships. ChildWatch is more than just a safe place to look after your children while at the Y. This programs offers children and infants the chance to get the most out of their own visit to the Y through playing, learning and staying physically active Age requirements, time limits and hours vary by branch

The goal of our afterschool programis to ensure safety for children (K-5th grade) while promoting healthy physical and emotional growth, assisting working families, and inspiring children to learn We strive to help each child reach their full potential by offering a positive and enriching environment that encourages the development of character, leadership and cooperative spirit We offer afterschool care until 6:00pmand all-day care on most school holidays, including summer, at convenient school sites throughout Central Texas. School Break Camps

Seasonal crafts, science experiments, team building activities and more. Each camp run from7:00am-6:00pm

Held in the fitness center, this weight training and cardio programfor teens will provide participants with a complete equipment orientation and a personalized workout while teaching themabout cardio-weight room etiquette, appropriate exercise attire and proper exercise form/technique Upon completion, each participant will receive a certificate allowing full use of the fitness center with a supervising adult

Babysit t ing Cert ificat ion

Ages 9-15 yrs

Our two-part course takes teens through all elements of becoming a well-trained babysitter in order to handle situations that may arise when taking care of children The course starts out by teaching the basics of handling children, changing diapers, feedings, rescue breathing and general safety rules Students will also learn to build a resume and how to manage their babysitting business The second part of the course takes students through the Red Cross First Aid/CPRtraining for babies and young children. Once both parts of the course are completed, students will be tested in order to obtain a certification

Kids can learn to love cooking and appreciate healthy foods in our 1-hour Kids in the Kitchen class They'll have a blast and enjoy a hands-on learning environment Classes offered once a month.

Kids can express and explore their creativity in our 1-hour art classes. Classes offered once a month and each class allows kids to explore new, artistic opportunities.

Sewing

Kids will learn hand sewing skills and create fun projects Class offered once a month

Ages 8-15 yrs

Kids are invited to learn coding in our coding class They'll learn to create and play games alongside friends using Scratch programming

Warm Wat er Therapy Open Swim

Utilizing the Y's warmwater therapy pool, this programhas great benefits for people with arthritis, join issue or ailments that sometimes prevent regular exercise. If you are unable to attend other water fitness classes, this open swimprovides you with a new option for your fitness Limited equipment will be provided and a lifeguard will be on duty during your time in the water Please note, this pool is only available to YMCA Members at posted times for water exercise, therapy, rehabilitation or medical purposes
