Gather employees from across the company to form teams of four to race through New Orleans City Park for the best combined time. Promote friendly competition by challenging other companies. Come out on race day! Entertainment, food and beverages are all included at the after party held at the City Park Practice Track. Make it easier. Order a tent package and we’ll get it set up for you. For the 2015 YMCA Corporate Cup, ALL tents must be ordered through the YMCA due to City of New Orleans permitting requirements. Each tent is now required to be part of the initial site plan and have a fire permit. Tent packages below include fire permit, tax, and delivery. Tent packages will include tables and chairs as described below.
7:30am: Runners begin to gather at the Practice Track. 8:15am: Second line to the start with a live New Orleans brass band. 8:30am: Race begins. The course loops through the park and finishes back at the Practice Track. After the race: Enjoy local live music, food, and beer at the Track’s infield. 10:00am (or after completion of the 5k): Kids’ Half Mile begins on the Practice Track.

Aside from running and celebrating post race together, each participating company is encouraged to design a t-shirt! Show company spirit and boost morale, giving each member of your team something special to remember their experience together.
T-shirts should incorporate your company or group’s name or logo and the race theme, “Second Line for Literacy!” Submit designs to amandas@ymcaneworleans.org by November 6th at 5:00pm. VOTE FOR YOUR DESIGN ON THE YMCA FACEBOOK PAGE FROM MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH UNTIL FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13TH AT MIDNIGHT.
The design receiving the most “likes” will be announced on race day during the awards ceremony. Winner will have their design posted on the YMCA of Greater New Orleans website and will receive a complimentary team for the 2016 race!
