YMCA of Greater New Orleans Employee Minimum Requirements and 90 Day Introductory Period Agreement 1. If you do not perform your job requirements as expected, to the best of your ability, you will be asked to clock out and go home. 2. Arrive on time for your shift, and if applicable, wear your name tag and staff shirt/uniform while on duty at the YMCA. 3. Do not work over your scheduled time unless requested or approved by your supervisor. 4. Always maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED certification if it is a required in your job description with no more than a 60-day lapse. If not offered by the YMCA, it is your responsibility to obtain the certification. 5. Always present the YMCA, staff, facilities, schedules and equipment in a positive light. 6. There is no such phrase in a YMCA staff person’s language, as “I don’t know”’ Say “I will find the answer” and then do so!! 7. All employees are responsible for the cleanliness of the facility. If you see something which needs to be cleaned, take action! 8. Positive attitude is EVERYTHING! 9. If you have a concern, you must see your immediate supervisor. Except in an emergency, do not go over their head. Follow the chain of command. 10. Discussion of staff and member personal information is prohibited. 11. Our members (Full and Program) come first. 12. Respect your fellow employees. 13. Never use profanity, inappropriate subject matters, or excessive loud language while at the YMCA. 14. Perform any and all duties assigned by your immediate supervisor, any key staff person, or management staff.
