I WANT TO GIVE BACK VOLUNTEER

THEY NEED US…WE NEED YOU. It is this simple. When you donate generously, children that cannot afford YMCA programs will be given the opportunity to participate in Summer Day Camp, Leaders Club, Homework Club, our Youth and Teen Centers, Youth Sports, and Swim Lessons. When you give generously, thousands of families that need the YMCA will be given the opportunity to join any of our facilities and make progress toward their goal of living a healthier lifestyle. And, when you give generously, hundreds of adults struggling to navigate life because of a lack of reading skills will be able to participate in our YMCA Educational Services (YES!) program. The YMCA does not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay! The YMCA of Greater New Orleans is focused on three Mission priorities:  Youth and Teen Development  Support for Families  Adult Literacy

Volunteers of the Y:  Raise funds to ensure the Y is accessible to all members of the community  Coach our sports teams and teach many of our classes  Motivate and support youth in building the character strengths, skills, and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, smart life choices, and the pursuit of higher education and goals  Advocate for the Y’s efforts to influence policies and initiatives that positively impact societal issues of importance to the nation and your community  Participate in opportunities to give back and support neighbors The Y is a nonprofit like no other.
