MAKE A MAGICAL CONNECTION ADVENTURE GUIDES The Adventure Guide program seeks to strengthen the bond between dads and their children (ages 5-8) through memorable, meaningful, fun activities. Dads and children are grouped into “Expeditions” of 6-10 pairs of fathersons (guides) or father-daughters (princesses) led by a parent-volunteer.
PROGRAM
Monthly Expedition Meetings Individual Expeditions meet monthly for activities such as pool parties, game nights, sporting events, service projects, special meals, just to name a few. Big Events These are activities that involve Expeditions from all the branches of the YMCA of Greenville. These include: • Fall and spring campouts at YMCA Camp Greenville • A Chili and Cake Cook-Off • Pinewood Derby • Father-Daughter Valentine Dance • Rocketry and Kite-Flying Festival
COST
Registration fees ($40 per person for Y members; $50 per person for non-Y members) cover program expenses, patches, supplies, and awards. Additional fees are charged for the campouts, and for the Father-Daughter Valentine Dance. Items such as hats and vests (popular for patches) cost extra.
