BUILDING Strong Families September - December 2014 YMCA of Greenville
THE TOOLS YOU NEED TO BE HEALTHY It’s an exciting time to be a member of the YMCA of Greenville. This fall, we are unveiling a new tool for you to use to plan and track your workouts and activities. Beginning in October, all YMCA of Greenville members will have access to a Healthy Living imitative powered by ActivTrax . This state-of-the-art tracking software can be accessed from anywhere—your smart phone, tablet, home computer or the kiosk located on your Y branch wellness floor. All comprehensive workouts are uniquely customized to meet your fitness and wellness goals. Moving forward, ActivTrax will be a key component of Wellness Works, our signature wellness program. So if you’ve never signed up for Wellness Works, or it’s been a while since you’ve had an assessment, now is the perfect time to get started. It’s easy to begin tracking your progress with the ActivTrax system – just visit membership services or a Y wellness coach to get you started today! So much more than a gym The fall is an exciting time around our Y community. Volunteer coaches are developing the skills and leadership abilities of young athletes playing sports, and children in our after school programs are getting valuable exposure to the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets. If you’re looking for activities to enrich your child, look into our art, dance, and karate After School Enrichment programs. You’ll find these activities to be engaging, active, and safe things for your kids to do at the end of the school day. You’ll find those programs and more in this program guide and on our website at www.ymcagreenville.org or check with membership services at your branch. It’s our mission to strengthen your body, sharpen your mind and enlighten your spirit through the wellness community at the Y. We want our members to be active in all the Y has to offer. Look through this program guide and you will find all sorts of programs and events to be a part of. We are so much more than a gym— we are a community with a gym attached! Yours in health, Scot Baddley President and CEO YMCA of Greenville
