A full credit or refund for all programs will be given before the first class begins. After the first class, participants have the option of receiving a pro-rated refund or credit on their account for the following reasons:

Requesting a credit or refund does not guarantee you will receive one, it must be approved by the program director. FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CHILD CARE Babysitting 101
Would you know what to do if a child was choking while you were babysitting? Would you know how to call 911 or how to handle a nosebleed? Babysitting 101 will teach you all these things and more! Babysitting 101 is a preparation program for boys and girls 11-13 years of age. Gift Certificates are available for purchase. Students need to bring their own lunch. Manual is included.

School Days Off Program
We know that working parents face a dilemma when school is cancelled due to single day holidays, short breaks, and inclement weather. So we have filled in the gaps with the School Day Off program. We offer supervised games, swim time, open gym, and activities in our youth center for school age children (K-6) from 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. Each child should bring a sack lunch, swim suit, and towel daily.

FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP Academic Enrichment Boy Scout Troop Program
The Y hosts programs for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of all ages. Boys can experience a variety of Aquatics, Sports, and Fitness programs offered to fulfill badges, rank achievements, belt loops and pins. Competitive Swimming and Sports Riptides Swim Team - October - December
The YMCA Riptides Swim Team provides a supportive and encouraging environment where the concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship are consistently reinforced. Each swimmer will learn, grow and thrive by developing the skills and relationships they need to be healthy, confident and connected to others. The team is open to children ages 6-18. Swimmers must be able to complete 50 meters without stopping, have the ability to swim freestyle and backstroke, and complete at least an hour practice.

FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT Riptides Stroke Technique Clinic
This month-long clinic is an ideal program for swimmers who want to improve their four competitive strokes and starts and turns. Swimmers will practice and apply drills to make their strokes more efficient, as well as build their overall stamina and endurance. To attend the clinic, swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool using the crawl stroke and backstroke without stopping. This class meets 3 days per week.

The YMCA Instructional Baseball League is a six-week program designed to focus on skill development, rules of baseball, fundamentals and YMCA character values. From the moment your child steps on the field, our program is designed to assist each player with their understanding of the game of baseball, working to assist them with the advancement of their individual skill level, while progressing to play an actual game. This league assists players with the evolution of their individual skill level while enhancing their level of play in a fun, competitive and structured environment. Cheerleading offers the opportunity for kids to develop self-reliance and self-confidence on an individual level while stressing the importance of teamwork within a cheer squad. Cheerleaders learn basic skills, chants, cheers, jumps and experience the performance aspect of cheerleading at our Youth Fundamental Basketball games.

Hydroriders Hydroriders are user-friendly, in-water cycling bikes that are perfect for any skill level. These biking-in-thewater group classes mix the cardio and lower-body conditioning of spin with the gentle-on-the-joints resistance of the water. The class uses stationary bikes in the pool to place riders in waist-to-chest deep water while pedaling away. The equipment allows you to adjust resistance generated by paddle wheels. It’s not about Pickles! Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic ball (waffle ball) and composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. It can be played in singles or doubles format (like tennis, but on a modified court with modified equipment). Per day of play we offer three session times for singles or doubles play. Cost: FREE (YM)/$4 (NM) per player per day visit (pay at front desk). No equipment rental fees… paddles and game balls, for game play, are included in the session fee. Playing time is reserved by scheduling court time and paying in advance at the YMCA front desk.

FOR HEALTHY LIVING GROUP INTERESTS Spiritual Development Bible Journaling 101
Join us in glorifying God using the unique and interesting talents He has given you. Bible journaling is a combination of bible study, scrapbooking, and art all rolled into one class. This program uses various mediums including (but not limited to) watercolor, colored pencils, and even acrylic paints. All you need is a journaling bible (or an art journal, if you prefer) and a pen to get started. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to join. All materials are included EXCEPT your journaling bible.

The Huddle Youth Sports Ministry
The YMCA Sports Department invites your child to HUDDLE UP and become part of The Huddle sports ministry for boys and girls (5-18 years old). Groups meet quarterly and are designed to edify, exhort and share the love of Jesus Christ through the biblical fellowship of athletes, the teaching of character values – Caring, Honest, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith – in a group bible study format for athletes. The American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) CPR and AED is a combined CPR and AED program designed specifically for those who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills. This training is suited for emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, teachers, and child care workers.

The ASHI Basic First Aid Class develops basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond.
