SECONDARY RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT IDEAS:

My plan view idea:

I have chosen the National Museum of Korea for my development ideas. I have researched the space in general and sketched different elevations/plan views of the space to help me develop my model

Add the inspiration

For my model development I have drawn different plan views of the space including my secondary research.

I have added plants and people to show the size of the museum which gives me a better view of the height and size

SIDE VIEW:

For this SketchUp design I have produced a final design of my first model development from my secondary research the Shanghai Himalayas Museum. I have taken pictures from different points of views and used X-ray to show all the details from the inside. For my development I will produce an upscale design and show the inside of the building/ interior.

I have added cars and plants to make it more realistic. For my next development I will render the whole design to show the building in softer way

SITE SKETCHES:

PLAN VIEW:

I have used my secondary research of the National Museum of Korea and my site location to produce different sketches of my site. By this I have produced a site view of my location which from there I will start developing my exciting ideas/ models

FRONT ELEVATION:

I have used SketchUp to produce a 3D view of my location which I will add my further model developments by viewing their size and if they work with the location:

PLAN VIEW:

SECONDARY RESEARCH:

For my secondary research I have used the Chicago Riverwalk design as inspiration for my future model idea. I have drawn different views of the space and plan views to give me an overview of how the space was developed and also how it works in general

I have produced a site layout of my chosen location. I have used my secondary research to help me approach the design in more artistic way. I have first drawn the plan view of the site which then helped me develop the model by making it more aesthetically pleasing.

For further development I will look at more secondary research spaces that have used existing abundant locations to produce a river site or any exterior design for layout

DEVELOPMENT

IDEA:

In this drawing I have made a step-by-step model to show how the space will be made and its final outcome

For further development ideas I will produce the layout next to my final model and show how it will work. I will also develop the model by changing its structure and add different outdoor activities

FURTHER MODEL DEVELOPMENT :

For my further model development, I have produced different ideas by using my secondary research but also using organic form/ movement and flow ideas. The main purpose of this development is to see different ideas and bringing it them into my models that will help me produce a final model

ANALYSIS OF SKETCHUP MODEL:

I have analysed my model by taking different elevations views of the design and thinking of the size and scale of trees and people

BACK ELEVATION:

By doing this it will help me with my final model design and its construction and size difference with my Museum Model

PLAN VIEW:

SIDE VIEW:

I have also added people that are doing different activities showing how the space can be used and how the size model will be compared to real life people

FRONT ELEVATION:

For my development model I will try and produce more of an organic form structure that links to my chosen theme (organic form and movement and flow)

DEVELOPMENT MODEL:

In this Sketch-Up model I have developed my previous design by producing more of an organic form structure. I have added different point of views of the model to show the structure and how the model works

I have used SketchUp to help me design layout ideas. I have also used my seashell primary research by following its forms and making an interior space.

My main focus for the layout is making it accessible and spacious so people with wheelchairs would be able to go around and explore.

I have also designed an elevator for wheelchair user so it can be easier for them to go around the building and have a great time
