I TT J u n e Yokota Tour Wait-List Policy
You must be 18 or older to sign up for a Yokota Tour. All participants 17 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to go on Yokota Tours. Please read the tour descriptions in this brochure thoroughly. Participants are encouraged to eat a good breakfast prior to departing on all morning tours; you may also bring your own food on the tours. Rest stops are made on all tours lasting over two hours. (The food at the rest stops is primarily Japanese and currency used is yen.) At all stops, we encourage passengers to return to the same seat taken at the beginning of the tour, and always return to the bus at the time directed by the tour guide. Buses for all Yokota Tours depart near building 2000. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure time as buses leave promptly, rain or shine.
If the tour is full, you can put your name on a waiting list. If there are any cancellations, we will try to contact you three times via phone. After receiving the phone call, you will have 24 hours to come by the Yokota ITT Office to sign up. After the 24 hour period is over, we will move on to the next person on the list.
Inclement Weather All tour cancellations due to inclement weather will be determined by 4 p.m. the day before the scheduled tour. Customers will be notified by 6 p.m. that night. In the event a cancellation is necessary, charge refunds will be made the following day and cash refunds will be available after five business days. Customer receipts will be needed to pay out refunds.
Full payment for the cost of the tour is due at the time of reservation and must be made in person. All payments must be made in cash, check or charge (VISA, MASTERCARD or CLUB CARD); yen will not be accepted.
Yokota Tours Refund Policy • One-Day Tours Refund will be provided for cancellations made four or more business days prior to tour date. Any cancellations made after four business days will not be entitled to a refund.
Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the tour bus. Personal coolers are acceptable but must be stored in the luggage compartment beneath the bus. Listening to media players is allowed only with the use of headphones. Parents must ensure their children are well behaved and do not disturb other passengers.
• Overnight Tours The cancellation policy will be notated on the tour book for each tour.
The Yokota ITT staff strive to ensure the most enjoyable trip possible. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate groups when requested. However, due to seating and ticket availability, this may not always be possible.
• Military Obligations In the case of a TDY, TAD, exercise or recall, written documentation (TDY orders or letter from squadron commander/first sergeant) must be presented prior to departure for a full refund.
The Yokota ITT Office is not responsible for the loss of personal items (baggage, equipment, etc.) left on the bus. The Yokota ITT Office is not responsible for any accidents due to personal negligence or misconduct on the tour.
In the event that Yokota ITT has already purchased the admission ticket, you will have to pay for the admission ticket cost regardless of the reason for cancellation.
All trip schedules can change due to traffic and/or other extenuating circumstances.
Policy for Conduct and Alcoholic Beverages on FSS Tour Buses These guidelines will be followed for the safety and comfort of all passengers traveling aboard 374 FSS sponsored tours to include: Yokota Tours; Outdoor Recreation trips; New Sanno/ Narita shuttles and all Private Organizations that contract transportation through 374 FSS Vehicle Operations. The following provisions will be followed by all customers electing to travel on a 374 FSS bus: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the seating and aisle area of the bus. All coolers, bags or backpacks containing alcoholic beverages must be stored within the bus luggage compartment located below and separated from the seating compartment.

A customer found in the seating area with alcoholic beverages will be directed by a 374 FSS escort to immediately move the beverages to the luggage compartment. Customers refusing to comply with the no-alcohol policy while en route will be released at the next convenient train station or location. The customer is responsible in securing their own transportation back to Fussa/Yokota. Customers found intoxicated when boarding a 374 FSS bus for return travel to Fussa/Yokota will be refused admittance on the bus. They will be directed to the closest train station or location. Again, it is the responsibility of the intoxicated person to find another means of travel. Persons not permitted to travel with 374 FSS due to the above circumstances shall forfeit their ability to receive a refund for incurred expenses for bus travel and event fees.

Japan Ukiyo-e Museum is an ultramodern building housing a private collection of the Sakai family’s woodblock prints. With more than 100,000 prints, it’s believed to be the largest collection in the world and includes representative masterpieces of all known Ukiyo-e artists. Explore five historical buildings built during the Edo Period. The main building is the former Nagano District Court which was built in 1908. Other buildings include the former Nagano District Court, Showa Kogyo Silk Factory and Matsumoto Juvenille Correctional Facility. Matsumoto Castle is the oldest castle donjon remaining in Japan. Inside the gorgeous, massive castle are steep stairs and low ceilings. The narrow wooden windows, once used by archers and gunmen, provide amazing views of the Japanese Alps, Matsumoto City and the moat below.

Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is a first-rate amusement facility complete with a roller coaster and five-story aquarium — one of the largest aquariums in Japan with over 500 varieties of fish and more than 1000,000 sea creatures. Get up close with polar bears, penguins, Canadian otters, dolphins and thousands of fish. The aquarium’s special feature is a 20-meterlong escalator which carries visitors in a see-through tunnel to view enormous fish tanks. Ride one of Japan’s first surf roller coasters that swings and loops out over the water.

Tour cost includes bus transportation and entrance fees to the village, flower-bird park and cave. This tour does not go to Mount Fuji’s fifth Station. Iyashinosato Japanese Village stands on the site of a former farming village on the western shores of Lake Saiko. The village was reconstructed and reopened as an open-air museum and traditional craft village. Explore the shops, restaurants,
museums and galleries to learn about the village’s culture and purchase local handicrafts. The Fuji Kachoen Garden Park welcomes you with over 30 feathered species. The owl enclosure holds more than 100 friendly owls. The park is also home to an extensive selection of over 10,000 begonias, fuchsias and hydrangeas. Then, traverse through the Wind Cave — one of Mount Fuji’s lava caves. The cave’s temperature stays around freezing with ice formations throughout the year.

It consists of seven unique themed “ports of call,” including Mediterranean Harbor, Mystery Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery and American Waterfront. There are fun rides, entertainment shows, restaurants and shops in each area. Attractions at Tokyo DisneySea are born from popular legends of the sea and the sense of exploration and discovery the ocean inspires. Famous for its volcanic landscapes and hot springs, Hakone National Park is one of the most popular destinations among Japanese and international tourists. Get a sweeping view of the national park from the aerial cable car. Smell smoking volcanic activity and sample the volcanic cooked black eggs at “Owakudani” (Hell Valley). Then, enjoy the natural scenery and a delightful boat ride across Lake Ashi. During the feudal Edo Period, Hakone Checkpoint once controled traffic along the Tokaido highway which linked Tokyo with Kyoto. This checkpoint helped prevent weapons from entering Edo and kept women and children from fleeing the city. Our last stop will be Hakone Shrine. Founded in 757, this shrine is known for its large red torii gate that elegantly stands in Lake Ashi with immense mountains displayed in the background.

Modeled after the original park in California, Tokyo Disneyland features 40 attractions located in seven themed lands: World Bazaar, Adventureland, Westernland, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorrowland. There are over 50 dining facilities and 60 retail shops. Meet the Disney characters and enjoy the special festivities throughout the park. This amusement park offers lots of fun for the whole family. Featured on many documentary specials, meet the famous, wild snow monkeys face-to-face without cages or enclosures. The summer scene at Nagano Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park is quite different from the winter months. The full-leaved trees and abundant vegetation provide shade and plants and insects for the monkeys to eat. Baby monkeys born in the early spring will make their first appearance. After the monkey park, feast on all-you-can-eat cherries for 30 minutes.

The statue was built in 1993 to commemorate the birth of Shinran, the founder of the Jodo Shinshu sect of Japanese Buddhism. Explore the Narita Aeon Mall and grab a bite to eat before our visit to Boso-no-Mura — an open-air theme park that reproduces the Japanese scenery of the Edo Period. The park is lined with recreations of old samurai residences, farmhouses and other buildings. Take part in traditional crafts and cultural events or visit the museum which features exhibits from the primitive era to the present.

Our last stop will be the Landmark Tower which includes a shopping mall and the Hard Rock Café. Get a great view of Yokohama from the building’s 69th floor.

Due to renovations at the Tokyo Tower, some views may not be available. The Top Deck (highest observatory) is not accessible on this tour. Visit the Shinagawa Aquarium to see a wide range of animals native to Japan. Visit the Edo-Tokyo Museum which exhibits Tokyo’s past and present history. Get a different perspective of Tokyo at the main observatory of Tokyo Tower. Don’t forget to explore the cafes and restaurants located at the base of the tower.

You’re sure to find something for your pet at the Pet Mall and the Active Mall offers sports and electronic equipment. Tour cost includes bus transportation and Sunday brunch. Enjoy Sunday Brunch at the New Sanno Hotel. Delicacies abound at this all-you-can-eat buffet. Fresh baked breads, omelets made-to-order and carved beef are highlights of this delicious meal. Odaiba is one of Tokyo’s most popular shopping and entertainment districts with its malls, theme parks and museums. DECKS Tokyo Beach features entertainment including Joypolis, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and more. Next to DECKS Tokyo Beach is Aqua City Odaiba, an entertainment mall featuring restaurants, shops and amusement facilities. The 380-foot-tall Ferris wheel attracts brave souls willing to take on heights for a beautiful view of Odaiba.
