YOKOTA TOURS POLICIES

You must be 18 or older to sign up for a Yokota Tour. All participants 17 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to go on Yokota Tours. Please read the tour descriptions in this brochure thoroughly. Participants are encouraged to eat a good breakfast prior to departing on all morning tours; you may also bring your own food on the tours. Rest stops are made on all tours lasting over two hours. (The food at the rest stops is primarily Japanese and currency used is yen.) At all stops, we encourage passengers to return to the same seat taken at the beginning of the tour, and always return to the bus at the time directed by the tour guide. Buses for all Yokota Tours depart near building 2000. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure time as buses leave promptly, rain or shine. Full payment for the cost of the tour is due at the time of reservation and must be made in person. All payments must be made in cash, check or charge (VISA, MASTERCARD or CLUB CARD); yen will not be accepted. Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the tour bus. Personal coolers are acceptable but must be stored in the luggage compartment beneath the bus. Listening to media players is allowed only with the use of headphones. Parents must ensure their children are well behaved and do not disturb other passengers. The Yokota ITT staff strive to ensure the most enjoyable trip possible. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate groups when requested. However, due to seating and ticket availability, this may not always be possible. The Yokota ITT Office is not responsible for the loss of personal items (baggage, equipment, etc.) left on the bus. The Yokota ITT Office is not responsible for any accidents due to personal negligence or misconduct on the tour. All trip schedules can change due to traffic and/or other extenuating circumstances. Prices and schedules are subject to change without notice.

If the tour is full, you can put your name on a waiting list. If there are any cancellations, we will try to contact you three times via phone. After receiving the phone call, you will have 24 hours to come by the Yokota ITT Office to sign up. After the 24 hour period is over, we will move on to the next person on the list.

Inclement Weather All tour cancellations due to inclement weather will be determined by 4 p.m. the day before the scheduled tour. Customers will be notified by 6 p.m. that night. In the event a cancellation is necessary, charge refunds will be made the following day and cash refunds will be available after five business days. Customer receipts will be needed to pay out refunds.

Yokota Tours Refund Policy • One-Day Tours Refund will be provided for cancellations made four or more business days prior to tour date. Any cancellations made after four business days will not be entitled to a refund. • Overnight Tours The cancellation policy will be notated on the tour book for each tour. • Military Obligations In the case of a TDY, TAD, exercise or recall, written documentation (TDY orders or letter from squadron commander/first sergeant) must be presented prior to departure for a full refund. In the event that Yokota ITT has already purchased the admission ticket, you will have to pay for the admission ticket cost regardless of the reason for cancellation.

These guidelines will be followed for the safety and comfort of all passengers traveling aboard 374 FSS sponsored tours to include: Yokota Tours; Outdoor Recreation trips; New Sanno/ Narita shuttles and all Private Organizations that contract transportation through 374 FSS Vehicle Operations. The following provisions will be followed by all customers electing to travel on a 374 FSS bus: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the seating and aisle area of the bus. All coolers, bags or backpacks containing alcoholic beverages must be stored within the bus luggage compartment located below and separated from the seating compartment.

A customer found in the seating area with alcoholic beverages will be directed by a 374 FSS escort to immediately move the beverages to the luggage compartment. Customers refusing to comply with the no-alcohol policy while en route will be released at the next convenient train station or location. The customer is responsible in securing their own transportation back to Fussa/Yokota. Customers found intoxicated when boarding a 374 FSS bus for return travel to Fussa/Yokota will be refused admittance on the bus. They will be directed to the closest train station or location. Again, it is the responsibility of the intoxicated person to find another means of travel. Persons not permitted to travel with 374 FSS due to the above circumstances shall forfeit their ability to receive a refund for incurred expenses for bus travel and event fees.

Tour cost includes bus transportation and admission to monkey park and apple picking. Please be prepared to walk for up to 40 minutes (1 mile on a gravel path to get to the monkey park. As the monkeys are wild and not in enclosures, they may not always be in the park area. Visit the world-famous Jigokudani Money Park in Nagano Prefecture. This park is famous for its large population of wild snow monkeys that you can observe up close without cages or enclosures. Fall is the busiest time for the monkeys as they rush through the forest seeking nuts, fruits and grains to nourish them through the winter. After the monkey park, we will shop at Shinshu Fruits Land for 30 minutes of apple picking.

Tour cost includes bus transportation and admission to Mother Farm and Mother Farm Tractor Tour. Some activities and amusement rides are pay-as-you-go. Some rides may have age and height restrictions. Mother Farm is a great family theme park in the Chiba countryside. Escape the city and enjoy a variety of farm animals, seasonal flowers, fruit picking and other interesting hands-on experiences. Take a ride on the tractor train for the Mother Farm Tour, see sheepdogs show off their trade, milk a cow, cuddle rabbits and guinea pigs, race squeling pigs and more!

Tour cost includes bus transportation and udon noodle making experience. Indulge your taste buds at Japan’s ninth annual Udon Summit — a massive festival that brings over 100,000 attendees each year. Held in the impressive Kumagaya Sports Cultural Park, this event offers visitors the chance to slurp Japan’s finest udon. World-renowned chefs from the northern island of Hokkaido to the southwest tip of Japan offer their region’s unique udon creations to hungry guests. At the end of this two-day event, the best tasting udon takes home the national title.

Some attractions may have height and age restrictions. Located at the base of Mount Fuji, Fuji-Q Highland offers breathtaking views of the mountain from the tops of thrilling roller coasters. The park is famous for its record-breaking rides and elaborate, animethemed attractions.

Visit Yokohama — the nation’s foremost seaport which has long been noted for its sophisticated international atmosphere. Our first stop will be Chinatown. Explore the area and visit Yamashita Park which faces the Yokohama Harbor and extends along the coastline. Next, board a 40-minute cruise of Yokohama Bay. Our last stop will be Landmark Tower, which includes a shopping mall and the Hard Rock Café. Get a bird’s-eye view of Yokohama from the 69th floor of the building.

Comic-Con has become the focal point for comics and related popular art forms through the presentation of conventions and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture. The event continues to offer the complete convention experience: an exhibit hall, program schedule featuring comics and all aspects of the popular arts including hands-on workshops. Comic-Con also presents special guests at its conventions bringing comic creators, science fiction and fantasy authors, film and television directors and producers together for a fun and candid discussion of various art forms.

Aizu Wakamatsu is a castle town in the Western part of Fukushima prefecture with a population of about 125,000. It is known for its samurai tradition and still retains a strong sense of the samurai culture which has been handed down for generations. It is a historical city known for the last battles between forces loyal to Tokugawa and the new Meiji government. Aizu refused to surrender to the Meiji, which led to one of the largest and bloodiest conflicts of the Boshin War.

Yonezawa is a city in Yamagata prefecture, known for local delicacies like apples and beef. The city is famous as the former home to the Uesugi clan, who took control from the Date clan during the Edo Period.

SUN • 24 NOV Tour cost includes bus transportation and admission to aquarium. Enoshima Aquarium is certain to be a hit with anyone interested in marine biology. The Big Sagami Bay Tank recreates the ecology of nearby Sagami Bay while the Jellyfish Fantasy Hall houses one of the world’s best collections of jellyfish. The Deep Sea Corner uses cutting-edge habitat technology to present several rarely seen species. In the Dolphin Show Stadium, dolphins and seals team up in a popular display of acrobatic diving. See displays of penguins, sharks, sea turtles (including some you can pet) and more. Outside of the aquarium, walk the pathways of Enoshima Island that lead to ancient temples, botanical gardens, museums, parks, scenic overlooks and a modern lighthouse at the top of the island.

Kamakura is famous for the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan and a number of other iconic temples, shrines and artistic treasures. Kamakura lies at the neck of the Miura Peninsula on the shore of Sagami Bay. The city demonstrates the high degree of prosperity present during the 12th and 13th centuries when Kamakura was the seat of the Shogunate Government.

The Tokyo Motor Show is one of the world’s top motor shows to introduce new cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles. The show features the latest production vehicles from domestic and international brands including many concept cars. Experience some of the latest in engineering, passenger safety and green technology through the show’s demonstrations and hands-on events.

Cost by Age Group: Tour cost includes bus transportation. New to Tokyo? Explore the city with this perfect, one-day getaway. Meiji Shrine is Japan’s most famous Shinto shrine. Shrine visitors can take part in typical Shinto activities such as buying charms and amulets or writing out a wish on an “ema” (wooden plaque). Experience a taste of Japan at Tsukiji Market, nicknamed Tokyo’s kitchen. The streets are lined with retail shops and restaurants. Lastly, visit Asakusa and its main attraction, Sensoji Temple, one of the most famous sights in Tokyo, built in the seventh century. The temple is approached via the Nakamise, a shopping street that has been providing temple visitors with traditional snacks and souvenirs for centuries.
