TAIYO COMMUNITY CENTER – Taiyo means big sun or broad sunlight, representing brightness and the land of the rising sun. The Taiyo is located on the West side of Yokota near the Sakana outdoor pool. At 47,000 square feet, the Taiyo facility is the biggest indoor venue on Yokota AB. This center includes a large ballroom, conference rooms, dance rooms and music rooms. The Taiyo offers a variety of instructional classes throughout the year. Several FSS base events and programs are hosted here annually including Armed Forces Entertainment concerts, the Air Force Ball, an annual haunted house, seasonal holiday programs, antique vendor sales and family cultural programs. Several rooms are available for official and unofficial private party reservations. Whether you’re scheduling a training session, Commander’s Call or scheduling a party, we are happy to make your next reservation.

YUJO COMMUNITY CENTER – The meaning of Yujo in Japanese is friendship, fellowship or camaraderie representing the alliance between the United States and Japan. The Yujo is located on the main side of base in building 327, across from the Friendship Chapel. The Yujo is considered the hub for other community-based facilities. We house a variety of services such as the 374 FSS Information Tickets and Travel office, the Night Flight Tickets and Travel Concessionaire contractor, WILTEC insurance, Mediterranean Bistro Restaurant, Lemon Lot registration and the USO center. A popular place to relax or hang out, the Yujo also offers ping-pong, pool, darts and shuffle board.

Please make your reservations early, as space and availability could be limited based on reservations already secured. You can make a tentative reservation up to six months in advance by calling the Taiyo, then finalize your dates with payment and submission of an approved reservation form. We have a variety of equipment items available for use for your reservation. We have state of the art sound systems equipped with microphones, speakers and projectors, all free to use.
