NAOTO HOSOBUCHI Waiter Foreman – Officers’ Club Naoto has spent 20 years working at the Officers’ Club as a member of the food & beverage team. He previously worked in restaurants giving him the hospitality experience needed for the job. He spends his days interacting with customers, overseeing the wine inventory and providing customer service at special events. He is now a Certified Sommelier in four categories and can recommend wines, sakes and shochu to customers. When asked what his favorite part of his job is, Naoto replied, “seeing the customers smile.” His coworkers describe him as funny and personable. He is known well by his regulars who personally request him to wait their table. Naoto is looking forward to incorporating more Japanese history into future Officers’ Club wine & sake events. His expertise is an asset to the Officers’ Club and the Yokota community.

FOREST ADVENTURE ROPES COURSE

Take a trip to Forest Adventure and swing from the canopy like a real-life Tarzan. Cling onto climbing holds or inch up wooden ladders to scale impressively tall trees. Navigate from branch to branch as you swing on ropes and glide through the air on zip lines. Test your balance on rickety bridges, swaying rings and spaced-out, wooden platforms. Those inclined to falling can rest assured knowing their harness will catch them.

Since invention in the 1990s, outdoor parks have sprung up all over the world drawing in people of all ages and interests; nature lovers appreciate the chance to get outdoors and city dwellers enjoy the thrill. Similar in feel to an amusement park but without the carbon footprint, the innovative courses built within the trees offer guests a stimulating, physically challenging and fun experience.
