JOSHUA DUNN Chief, Unit Training Joshua Dunn has served the military and civilian community at Yokota since 2004. Mr. Dunn started as a 2nd Lt. Service’s Officer in what was the 374th Services Division which is now the 374th Force Support Squadron. Working from fitness to mortuary in Services, he touched on everything. After leaving the military in 2006, he decided that Yokota was a place he wanted to come back to. “Then you had to return to your home of record to outprocess, after returning back to Hawaii the folks here decided they wanted me to come back – and I actually came back.” Upon returning he worked in our Marketing Office for two days, transferred to be the secretary for the Business Office and now has worked as the Chief of Unit Training since 2008. With FSS being

comprised of over 1,000 military and civilian employees, Mr. Dunn supports the mission by making sure they can support the mission. His daily responsibilities include developing training programs, updating trainings annually and making sure all training requirements are met across the military and civilian sectors. It can be a tough job, but Mr. Dunn knows that military and civilian employees need a friendly face when starting out in new employment or training on tough topics. “ We try to make it as welcoming as we can – first impressions can make or break and we interact with people who this is their first time being on a military installation.” Mr. Dunn has enjoyed his time here in FSS and his favorite aspect about being a part of our military community is the sense of community, “ the job we do taking care of people – whether it’s internal squadron members or the base community, we pull together.”
