A MESSAGE FROM MARY Hello, My Friends, I’m asking myself what happened to this year? It’s already half over. Perhaps it has gone by so fast for me because the Young Living world is moving so fast. Sometimes I feel like my head is spinning with so many thoughts and ideas at the same time. The rebirthing of Young Living, as I call it, has been fascinating and energizing. The new website and shopping platform are underway; and as we are getting acclimated, we can see how this is taking us into the world of digital marketing with its unlimited possibilities. I have often wondered how we are going to meet the needs of so much growth and expansion around the globe. However, as our Digital Transformation team has unveiled new programs to simplify shopping and help make our business building so much easier, I have felt a calmness knowing that these changes are taking us into unlimited future growth. I loved the convention this year. Rise Above— what a perfect theme. The stage was an experience of colour and beauty with exquisite music that seemed to take us to another world. It’s time to rise above negativity, above sad circumstances beyond our control, and spread an energy of positivity, hope, and happiness for the opportunity to reach beyond, restart, reignite, and re-energize our purpose to fulfill our divine destiny. I was totally enveloped in the idea of discovering who we are and what our divine destiny is, which carries the feeling of service—service to mankind with God’s gift of essential oils. We are blessed with many gifts that affect so many facets of life, but my focus is on our mission of essential oils in every home, to strengthen and uplift those people
in the world looking for a better way to have health, happiness, and abundance. When we formulated the trio of blends in Divine Destiny™, I felt a new kind of awareness, a new kind of enlightenment that was elevating and expanding in thought and action. Gary always said that you must put the energy of thought into motion to create your reality. That statement seems a little beyond our understanding for many of us, which is why we created the Divine Destiny Collection. A new book is coming out by Robert Tennyson Stevens titled My Word Made Flesh. It’s a very unusual title that brings curiosity and is about learning how your words can help create your reality—again, Gary’s direction of putting energy in motion. But in this book, we learn about our products and their ability or purpose to help us expand our minds and understand our state of being in an energic way—the evolution of energy. Do you think I’m talking in circles? Just read it and learn for yourself. It’s all an adventure of discovery in a world that is new for many of us. Gary was my introduction into the world of words and thoughts to create your destiny. He taught how important, energetically, essential oils are in supporting that creation. That was over 25 years ago when there wasn’t so much enlightenment on the planet. But that is changing, and we are waking up to the power that we carry within us and are learning how our oils can assist in that awakening. I shared the Divine Destiny Collection with many people before we even created our beautiful labels; but now that these blends have been introduced to the market, I am receiving many messages with such a variety of experiences. I’d like to share a portion of two experiences with you that are uniquely different and that might give you some insight into your journey. Because these testimonials were the earliest I received, we were able to film our members telling their own story for the convention, so perhaps you have already heard them. This is only the beginning of the path that many will walk, a beginning that is uplifting to all of us. Pamela Hunter, March 30, 2021 My personal experience with the Divine Destiny Collection: Daily Divine™, I Am Blessed™, and I Am Creative™ have reminded me how fun it is to be in the wonder and awe of consciously feeling unique and secure in the hands of God. My life’s work has been teaching myself and others how to read and listen to our own bodies and be more in our spiritual expression on this journey of life. IN MEMORY OF GARY: MAKE A DIFFERENCE THIS INTERNATIONAL ESSENTIAL OILS DAY Young Living will honour Gary’s legacy by donating up to $300,000 to student scholarships International Essential Oils Day (IEOD) takes place on July 11 in honour of Young Living Founder D. Gary Young’s birthday. Gary devoted his life to sharing nature’s most precious gift and kindled a global movement that touches the lives of millions. He also knew what it was like to come from nothing and spent significant time and resources helping students living in vulnerable circumstances. Often described as a modern pioneer, Gary took on many roles throughout his life, including innovator, historian, and explorer. He pursued ancient practices involving herbs, plants, and trees to unlock the full potential of essential oils. His research took him to remote corners of the earth as he sought to better understand these oils and all they had to offer. Gary dedicated 35 years to studying them and perfecting
ways to extract oils, all while building a billion-dollar global business designed to share this gift with the world. Gary also relished the role of philanthropist. While starting the Finca Botanica Farm and Distillery in Ecuador, Gary stumbled across a cinderblock building with no water, electricity, or bathrooms and discovered it was a school for 42 children. This was a turning point for Gary. He had driven past that building every day on his way to the farm, and he decided he wouldn’t just drive by anymore. He built the Young Living Academy near there. Thirteen years later, it educates nearly 350 students a year,

spontaneity have heightened to a whole new level of awakened awareness. My passion is enhanced and aligned for my greater good and all I meet in Daily Divine timing. My blessings guide my intuition: I Am Blessed. I wake up with a creative mind: I Am Creative. I see things and they manifest quickly. My daily activities feel more fulfilling and aligned with how and where I am called to serve. I feel I have been touched by Gary in an etheric way. The unique expression of who we are has a specific reason for being here on the planet right now. Some of us may not always know that reason, but by living authentically, that purpose in our journey will be revealed. After three days of layering the oils, I experienced a tingling sensation at the same time on the top of my head in the evenings, which continued for three days. I was very aware that the number three was very consistent in my personal journey and remembering the specific teachings from D. Gary Young, which has enhanced my awareness in all aspects of life. I have been consciously aware of my intuition and the whisperings of that small voice from the Spirit all my life. After the three days of activation layering these blends, I experienced a heightened awareness of my intuition and my dreams, which has become a daily experience. Using the oils in this way has allowed me to interface and connect with the natural abundance of the Cosmic Plan and supports me in aligning with my destiny. Highland Flats Distillery upgrades its equipment in a big way Young Living’s Highland Flats Distillery has taken a huge leap forward in distillation efficiency by installing a state-of-the-art industrial steam generator, leading the way yet again in the most efficient practices in the essential oils industry. While there are certainly financial benefits to the increased efficiency these new steam generators afford us, the true motivation here comes from our Seed to Seal® quality commitment, which requires us to seriously contend with our impact on the environment and our proper stewardship of it. Industry-leading manufacturer Clayton Industries was able to help the farm transition away from

our older boiler system to a rapid, on-demand steam generator, resulting in significant production efficiencies. For every 2.2 pounds of essential oils produced by this improved system, we are able to save 37 percent on fuel and energy usage. These new Clayton steam generators are so efficient, in fact, that we decided to install not one but two at the distillery. One will be running as the main workhorse, while the second will be available as backup during times of high production or in the unlikely scenario of a technical malfunction. When the new Clayton 150 horsepower steam generator solution went into production, the distillery’s efficiency skyrocketed, resulting in incredible energy savings. With this new system, steam doesn’t need to be generated full time, allowing us to shut off the system instead of having to run it 24/7. In fact, the new Clayton steam generators are so efficient that they can go from completely cold to full-steam output in approximately five minutes,
Getting down to business: • We’ve restructured the Supply Chain Operations team to encourage more collaboration, clarity, and communication for smootherthan-ever operations. Enhancing the shopping experience: • We’re simplifying our compensation plan starting in July and August. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation. Here is some of the exciting news the Foundation shared from mainstage about how we can all work together to protect and empower our world’s young. One Voice™ essential oil blend: We released the Foundation’s newest essential oil blend, One Voice. SUPPORTING DISTANCE LEARNING IN NAVAJO AND GOSHUTE NATIONS Introducing a new Young Living Foundation partner Over the past year, students living on Native American reservations in Utah, USA, have been especially affected by the transition to distance learning. Many of these students live in homes that lack the infrastructure necessary for successful distance learning, leaving some students 8−18 months behind in school. Heart of America is a national nonprofit that focuses on transforming learning environments and distributing distance learning education kits to ensure all children have the resources they need to succeed. The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation is proud to team up with Heart of America for a three-phase partnership that begins with providing 1,000 distance learning education kits to help students in Navajo and Goshute nations overcome the academic slide they’ve experienced during the transition to distance learning. Forty Young Living employees gathered at Young Living’s Global Headquarters at the beginning of May to assemble the kits, which included school supplies, STEM activities, age-appropriate books, Thieves® Waterless Hand Sanitizer, and a solar lantern to allow students to continue learning after sundown. These kits were delivered to students from Tooele School District, Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake, Aneth Community School,
Montezuma Creek Elementary School, Tse’bii’nidzisgai Elementary, and Bluff Elementary. Jill Heath, CEO of Heart of America, mentions that “the students who will receive the kits are some of the 60,000 individuals throughout Navajo and Goshute nations who don’t have stable access to power. Most don’t have internet access either.”

Phase two of this partnership will include outfitting 100 student homes that don’t currently have electricity with solar panels, Wi-Fi hotspots, and computer tablets. Phase three will include the transformation of an education space at White Horse High School in Montezuma Creek, Utah. The Foundation offers its thanks to all the donors who make impacts like this possible, as well as the employees who helped with phase one of this important project. GARY YOUNG’S FIRST ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDS In 1985 Gary made history by creating the first essential oil blends It’s impossible to see how far Young Living has come—wrapping up our second Virtual International Grand Convention, celebrating our fourth International Essential Oils Day on July 11, marking 28 years of business—and not think of Founder D. Gary Young’s legacy. His innovative spirit not only led to the founding of Young Living but also to the essential oils industry. The beginnings of that legacy can be found in the creation of essential oil blends, particularly Gary’s first three creations: R.C.™, Inspiration™, and Valor®. R.C., Gary’s first essential oil blend, includes Marjoram, Cypress, Pine, Spruce, Lavender, Myrtle, and all four of the Eucalyptus essential oils. Gary recommended massaging it onto the throat and chest. “R.C. is a really beautiful formula,” he said. “It is one that a person would want to carry with them wherever they go to promote the sensation of deeper breathing.” Inspiration essential oil blend came from a combination of oils— Sandalwood, Myrrh, Frankincense, Cedarwood, and Spruce—used in both Middle Eastern and Western spiritual practices. Originally called Prayer & Meditation, Gary changed the name so it would translate more easily into other languages. Gary
suggested putting three drops on the temples and feet before praying or meditating. “These oils stimulate the mind,” he explained, “and bring us into that space of doing what is right to help us find inner peace.” To round out this groundbreaking set of early essential oil blends, Gary created Valor, a blend of Frankincense, Black Spruce, Blue Tansy, Camphor Wood, and Geranium. He said the best place to apply this blend is to the feet. “It balances physically, spiritually, and emotionally,” Gary said. “You could say I made Valor for me. I find it keeps my mind very alert and in tune.” Gary created these blends in 1985, before they were even called “blends.” Initially, Gary referred to them as “combinations,” which is just one example of how Gary, creating language for innovations that didn’t exist prior to his work, built the essential oils industry from the ground up. These first three creations are now some of our most classic, beloved blends that draw so many people to Young Living.
