Pembrokeshire Television Bringing local broadcasting to the masses! Civilization doesn’t disappear at the end of the M4. As you are probably aware, once the monotonous drone of the M4 ends, if you keep heading west, after approximately an hour you will reach Milford Haven; a town which has been hit by the recession. Luckily there are plans in place to make Milford Haven the hub of a 21st century media revolution. MegaGroup Pembrokeshire Limited, the local business behind Megaprinter.co.uk, Your Pembrokeshire Magazine, Pembrokeshire’s Best Magazine and The Little Gem, are bringing together a team of broadcasting experts with many year’s experience in the broadcasting industry to craft a modern TV Station dedicated soley to Pembrokeshire. Why TV? Why Pembrokeshire? Thomas Sinclair of MegaGroup said “We are a young forward thinking company with enthusiastic staff dedicated to our amazing county. All 23 employees share my belief in our county and want to see new jobs and opportunities here. Pembrokeshire College offer a range of media courses, however all of our highly trained workers are forced to move East along the M4 corridor in search of relevant experience and employment. I have made the decision to make a stand, to provide more jobs for local people and to create a much needed television station that our county can be proud of” Having already invested over £30,000 securing state-of-the-art cameras, lighting, mixing desks, computers and software, MegaGroup

Pembrokeshire Limited are already well on the way to finishing their broadcasting studio, built within the walls of an historic building on Hamilton Terrace. Quality local programming will be filmed in the Milford Haven studio (and on location across the county) and initially broadcast over the internet utilising the latest in high speed internet
technology, allowing computers, smart phones, smart TVs, computers and tablets to access Pembrokeshire TV from later on this year. The Pembrokeshire TV project has already received support from local institutions like the Torch Theatre, Theatre Mwldan and even Aardman Animations in Bristol (the creators of Wallace & Gromit) including equipment being supplied including lighting rigs, monitors and other vital kit. Thomas Sinclair commented “All of our partners, supporters, volunteers and staff see the need for a local TV service and are all as dedicated as I am to providing professional, quality and diverse programming with a uniquely

Once the construction of the studio, outside broadcasting vehicle and edition suite are complete, the hard work starts as the production of high quality local programming
begins. Project construction and co-ordination is handled by Nick Swannell, who has a background in the music industry ranging from recording, production and studio design and construction, making him the perfect “man for the job!” Broadcasting is due to commence in April 2012 and the project is turning heads locally and nationally as momentum builds and Pembrokeshire finally receives the voice it deserves (and a face on the screen too!)
