Hello again everyone and welcome, For those who have joined us this week it’s great to have you all here and to kick start us all working together you have all been added to this Microsoft Team. It’s been a couple of weeks since we launched this Microsoft Team ‘YHN – Prj – Call and Enquiry Centre’.
To re-cap, everyone in YHN will soon be starting to use Teams in their service, so it will become pretty familiar very soon. ICT will also be offering some training sessions in the coming weeks and months for anyone needing help. In the meantime, please have a read of my previous blog which you’ll find if you click in the ‘File’ tab along the top of this Team, for more information on how to use this. The Enquiry Centre staff at YHN have been using this Team for a few weeks so please ask Jackie Lawrence, Eve Martin or Elaine Holliday for help if you are stuck or unsure, don’t sit in silence.
What’s in Teams and how can I use it? So, just to summarise what this Team is for…basically, you can use the ‘Conversations’ tab to ask any questions, particularly if you have any comments or suggestions about our new team, how we can come together, collaborate, share ideas and a space for you to ask any questions and move towards working in our new team. We’ve also put some useful videos in the ‘Files’ tab about YHN’s new Business Strategy Destination-22, and our values as an introduction to what YHN is about and the journey that we are all on together. But you will get lots more information about this soon.
What we’ve been talking about so far So far, we have been using this Team to prepare for you all joining us. YHN staff have been volunteering to be “buddies”. If you need some extra help to get settled in and answer all those questions that people have when they start working somewhere new like: What do people do for lunch? How do I work the printer? How do I book a day’s annual leave on Kelio?...you’ll be given a friendly point of contact soon. We’ve also been using this Team to create some team profiles to help you get to know us all and tell you a little bit about your new team mates.
We are going to collate all the profiles we’ve written together, and you’ll get to read them all in a newsletter which we’ll email to you on Friday 5 April. Please look out for this newsletter in your inbox - it might go into your junk folder or clutter so please have a look for it – inside it will be a link to view what everyone has written about themselves. Hopefully you’ll find this helpful in putting names to faces and you might even have a little chuckle reading through and finding out some surprises about your new team mates.
Getting to know you… Soon we will all be working together in one place very soon and so we’d all really like to get to know you too. If you’d like to tell us a bit about yourselves, please complete the ‘Meet My Team’ excel document in the ‘Files’ tab. You can add as much or as little information as you like, it doesn’t need to be anything too personal and then we can share this with your new colleagues, so we can get to know a bit about you too.
We know it’s a busy week this week getting settled into some new surrounds but it’s really good to have you all here and to start working together in this way.
Thanks everyone, Rob Clark
