MAY 25 Prohibition with the Nashville Symphony Schermerhorn Symphony Center nashvillesymphony.org Celebrate the Roaring ‘20s with the Nashville Symphony in this musical journey through the cabarets and speakeasies of New York, Paris and beyond. Featuring guest singers, dancers and musicians, this evening of classic jazz revisits some of the greatest artists of the 1920s, from Rudy Vallée to Josephine Baker, from Kurt Weill to King Oliver, accompanied by vintage photos and video.

The fun begins as fastidious and tightly wound Felix Unger, just separated from his wife, moves in with recently divorced Oscar Madison, whose slovenly and careless ways probably contributed to the breakup of his marriage. A cast of pokerplaying buddies and a date night with the Pigeon sisters round out an evening full of hilarity and heart.
