ROUND COURSE Rural Education Assistant System The project is about new concept of rural education. In the summer of 2013 I had a experience as a volumtary teacher in a village in Guangdong province. The primary research is based on this experience which had interview to the local people in the place. The experience brought me a strong impact to the situation of rural education in China. This bring me an oppotunity to rethink the whole education system and reconsider the improvement of it.

About
The most important element in this system is parent and family. From the research can we see a firm relationship of the growing environment and study. Most student who didn't have a good record in school alway have some problems in their family. School and government should also in charge of it.
The interview data mainly came from four people who works in the education field. They are all parents of children who studyed in the same middle school. From the interview we can see that the rural education problems are not only about the education itself also had a firm connection to the other element of the society e.g. the Left-over children. T h e g ra p h i c o n le f t s h ow s t h e m o st important elements related to the problem and how the connection complecated is. Each intersection means a problem in the place.

Knowledge Mapping
The course design based on the research of the fundational knowledge whcih was taught to the students from grade 3 to grade 5. The purpose is t o c o m b i n e t h e k n o w le d g e points with the animation and interactive teaching together so as to enhance the situation of a course. There is an app actting as a controller of the hardware to integrate a round screen and a quick printer into a course. At the same time providing virtual and physical interaction for the teacher to enhance the course.
Theme course is another good way to have a course. One of the problem of the existing teaching is subject. Knowledge was saperated into few parts and taught by different teachers in different subjects which cutting down the connection of the original knowledge. Theme trying to integrate different subject back into one theme to rebuild the connections in the background of the knowledge point.
The app using a knowledge map to should students a clear structure of what they are going to learn. This make it possible for teachers and students to understand the relationship of old knowledge and new one. Also, they have been saperated and cataloged by subject which is much useful in searching.

Contour Vessel Crystal Design Project With The Nachtmann Company This concept design project is for the NextGen compection which held by the Ridel company. It's an honor to took part in the design trainning workshop before the competion.

As one of the most famous crystal glass manufacturer in Germany, Nachtmann p u t m o re a n d m o re i n t e re s t e s i n integrating art and design into the conventional manufacturing craft. With the high level technique, design thinking is focusing not only on the form or the pattens, also the nature inspirt which came from mathematic analyzing and deeply phycial rethinking.
Almost all the concepts came from nature coming out with an incredible new style. Transforming the n a t u re l a n g u a g e into a physical patten via the mathematical way, for instance, the Fibonacci curve.

The trip on germany helped a lot about understanding of manufacturing and quality as well as the spirit of the brand. Thanks to the experience in the factorys, I learned a lot about the machine made crystal and handcraft crystal which are not as easy as I imaged before. Molding process has so many details to concern that I realized the design concept should not much far away from the manufacture. The visit in the handcraft factory in Austria gave me a strong impress of the quality and soul of the crystal that the design is not only for the shape of a vessel also for feelings about the daily life. As well as the quality for touching tasting and smelling.

Concept &Exploration I've tried to explain the contour concept by vessels design. First of all , a plate concept came occused. And then a bowl came after. Based on the first idea of the plate and the bowl, I developed other four concepts.

The model is for another geometric contour line idea. The patten surrounding the vessel showing a construction of the layers. The quick model is for exploring a suitable way to combine the pattens onto a vessel.

The idea of the fianl product is to show the terrace shape on the surface of a vassel in a flexible way. The pattens mainly on the vertical direction with some little curves making the shape much more alive.

The terrace project aims at young generation consumers who interest in art and design with a high quality life. The idea came from the terrace shape of the traditional Chinese landscape painting which contains elements of modern design as well as spirit of contempary art. The project trying to explore the possibility of combining the landscape form on a glass vessel. In the traditional fairy tale, the world was combined by sky and land. The land means the world where we live and develop. The landscape is a directly impress of our world. That makes lots of famous landscape paintings in Chinese history.

Product Design
Ideas While thinking the form of the watch, the user situation was kept in mind. Totally different from the normal smart phone design, the watch has much more limitations for material and size. For instance, multi touch screen is not suitable for the user who wearing a watch with a screen smaller than 1.5 inch. Ipod shows an wonderful solution for the small square control: The Rotary Touch Ring.
Sketch Models Quick models in PVC and paper card board are made for size testing. With the help of digital models and 3D printer, full-sizemodel can be manufactured and intigrated.

UI Design
The user interface on a 1.5 inch screen is totally different from any previous. Here comes three principles for the visual design. 1. The size of letters and font should be reconsidered for being recognized at a short time and in a special distance. 2. With the high speed development of the urbanizaton in China, air pollution became one of the top problems which mainly cased by emission of the industry and cars as well as occasionally sand storms. Indoor air quality also sinked down with the usage of more and more various of interior decoration material.
The rate of city afforest can somehow affect the air qualitys, the higher the better. Plants in the city should accoding to the environment the climate and the city planning. As for the indoor planting, it should be balance with the usage of the space and the decorations.

Plant Basket
Weave Net
The basket was made of steal panel by the laser cutting. With the help of paper models, size and depth can be confirmed which accoding to the density of plant and the quality of clay. The design is for attaching the basket onto any walls, that pointed out the importance of connection part. The polygon structure makes more possiblities for the attaching for instance the band.
The purpose of the basket design is for more planting with less space wasting. The basket can be attached on any kind of walls no mater indoors or outdoors. At the indoor situation, it takes no ground space for planting and can become part of the interior decoration. The outdoor one can be integrated to the surface of an architecture, that would somehow high up the rate of afforist.

Vine Shelf The Shelf is made by the CAFA team who were in one course. The material is ratten that being bended by heat and steam. At first we build up a quick sketch model and mesured the length of each stick and each angel then builded a full scare digital model for analysis. The whole shelf was saperated into 47 parts, each part contained one angel. With the help of digital analysis, the assemble became much more easier. The connection was covered of putty and then polished.
Ideas The shelf is designed as a street furniture for the afforist plants. Vines can grow up climing the shelf to the top. The shape of the shelf based on a polygon graphic patten. The purpose is to transform the street sculpture into a functional stuff making benfits to the air quality.

Smart Community Express The project started at the daily point of parcel express which have become one of the most import part of the O2O commerial model as well as our daily life. This project based on the primaly research and analysis of the campus express problems, trying to solve the problems in a universal way which not only suitable for the campus situation also for the wider communitys. Thanks for the cooperation and hard working of all the teammates, the concept have got into complete.

The problems of parcel expressing contians three key essential element: people, location and time. While we think about parcel expressing, we saw matching of these three elements. Problems alway happened while elements matched fail, for instance, parcel will arrived when the consumer doesn't available to pick. A sucessful expressing process must make the three elements in order and match each other very well. In daily life, we can always see expressing problems. For example, parcel arrived when you are not available or arrived at where you are not in or you should always go on a long distance to pick up the parcels.

The middle stage is about the transportaton and stuff logistics. With the help of smartphone and the location function, system will adjust the the transportation base on the current location of the consumer.
Final stage is based on the O2O commercial model to send parcels directly to the consumer. UAV system will be suitable for the quick express process.

UAV Express System The combination of UAV and the station can be treated as a fundation part of the final express system. Integrated with the airpot control system and distribution system, the system can support at least 8 auto helicopters in one time.
The ternimal stage is defined as a smart community concept. On the basic of the UAV system, each unit in the commnity can be easily connected physically. The connection applying a platform for self-saling and short distance express. Which will make it possible for more commercial oppotunities.

Analysis
The most potential building nearby the campus is a heat factory with a tall and single chimney (as the images show) which locates on the south next to the south gate of the campus.
The whole building can be saperateed into three different potential elements. The one is the chimney, the second one is the factory building and the last one is the parking lot.
We focused on the air space surrounding the chimney and tried to transform it into a useful UAV express station. Not only the air but also the ground space are enough for the parcel express system with truck and tricycle transportation.
All of these elements are important for a parcel station which intigating air express, land express and couriers. The chimney has potencial to be rebuilded as an UAV parking lot because of its height and wide air space. The facory building can be used as a control center intigrating the airprt control system and diatributing system. The large parking lot is also importan for the express process which needing a lot of space for storage and parking as well as scheduling.

T-SHOOT For Beijing Design Week The project is part of the activities located in Cao Cahng Di village for the Beijing Design Week. The T-shoot project was held by a student team who came from the CAFA university. We spend about 1 month preparing on the aspect from the basic research to visual design and the manage of the final activities. The project is a great success for not only the profit we earn also the ability to manage the whole project.

Another research is the visitor. Based on the stasticed datas and record of the previous activities, visitors densitiy canbe judged. The square has the highst visiting and the yard connected by the corridor is on the second place, then the south entrance and the biggest yard are following. From the photos of previous events, we can see what kind of visitor will always be. They can be sorted by their job into 6 kinds which are student, designer, artest, businessman, media and others. Designer is the most largest account of visitors, then students and media.

Field mesurement is essential for the project planning and activeces design. The struction of the Red House building group is special for exhibiton. The obvious advantages in this area are, for instance, large squares connect with yards by corridors while walls between them are blank with few windows.

The Activities was held in the Cao Chang Di village where is now an art and design studio area. The village locate on the north-east Beijing and was part of the exhivition area of Beijing Design Week 2014. The activities place was the Red House located on the center of the village, next to the market and the main road. As part of the Cao Chang Di P l u s a c t i v i t i e s , t h e Ts h o o t project was put into the yard between the buildings, which gave us a lot of options as well as confusion. The design of Tshoot project should have fit the activities atmosphere and the local environment. So the location has become the start point of the research.

Idea The idea came from the traditional shooting with bow and arrows combinated with Tshirt printing. We all had fun in childhood on destroying things. The purpose of this game is to bring you back the old feeling of destroying. Users can print their own unique Tshirt by shooting color on the clothes.

Concept At the first step of the design process, we set up a series of standard cartoon charators for the advertisment and main visual board. The color based on the visual system was set in yellow green and red. The patten on t-shirt used to be a main problem for the design team. It should be recognizable and reasonable and fit to the atmosphere of the activity.
Strategy The visual design of the activities should build up an entertaining atmesphere for the player. It contains the wall dacoration, the instruction and some other accessories. Based on the game contents (shooting colors on t-shirt), we defined the three basic color red yellow and green as the main visual color. Three boards in 3000mm high and 1200mm wide was used as the main decoration. A blank white board was used as the target and a white wood box in 600mm*600mm*600mm is used as a table. The instruction is a guidance and advertise for the visitors. On one side, there are cartoon charators showing the safe distance of shooting and the sequence and process of using the facilities. Another side is a map and an advertisment as well as the main contact information.

After a one-month-long preparation, everything was ready for the event. We arrived at the place and assembled all facilities before the beginning ceremony. As well as the transportaion shuould be arranged. Before that there was still a long and hard trip for all of the teammembers. Building up a protertype for testing is an important work for the process, that promissed a clear sequence to visitors and volunter workers. All ideas should be tested during this stage to make sure that they all be integrated well. There was still problems while we installed the facilities. It was necessary to change the design concept accoding to the current situation. Somehow, the project went well during the event, and we just changed a little bit to fit the light situation. With the help of all the teammates, the project goes successfully before the Beijing design week ceremony. But still problems for the replenishment, cause we had no ideas about how many visitors will come and how many of them will took part in the T-shoot project.

The research began on the Gu Gong museum and the national museum about the ancient chinese object. With the help of the friend working in the Gu Gong museum, we had an oppotunaty to access to the watch reparing department. It was important for understanding the working process and basic mechanical stucture of a watch. Attending the GPHG exhibitiong is another research step of watch quality. The whole project is for all of the classmates but each concept is submeted by individual.

This idea cames from a old Chinese concept for Time. Ancestors treated time as water, which for long time hitting will destroy a stone. Water represent a soft but powerful image in Chinese philosophy, containing different kinds of culture and different kinds of thinkings which are all in a harmony atmosphere. For this project, my idea about water is not a dead but live water containing life, power, and time. So the watch is different with the normal one, there are no any pointers unless two Chinese gold fish. One point the hour the other point the minute. Once the button on the side of shell was pushed, the two fishes will disappear hidding behine the big ripple, just like they were disturbed.
