PROLOGUE

The Visual Development Guide will serve to show the process of developing a redesigned logo of Borders. The processes include four stages and evolves many hand sketches. The final logo will be refined in Illustrator and the computer version includes the measurements and standards of the logo.

Original Logo HISTORY SO FAR The original logo uses two colors: black and red to demonstrate the impression of the brand. The red bar serves to emphasize the logotype and the logotype is slightly modif ied by extending the strokes of the characters. There is not a logo symbol and the typeface is a San Serif typeface with geometric characteristic.

New Logo LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CHANCE The new logo will include a logo symbol and a logotype. The impression of the brand will be changed through the form of logo. The keyword eventually chosen for the logo is outlook, which is a combination of discover and communication.
