It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we open the international facilitator application for AIESEC Singapore’s National Leadership Development Conference (NLDC) 2015! Congratulations on your decision to have a first look at this application booklet and for taking the initiative to apply. NLDC 2015 is the biggest conference held in AIESEC Singapore and it seeks to provide delegates with an enriching and impactful learning experience through dialogues and sessions on leadership development. The conference will be held from the 8th to the 12th of December 2015, and a total of approximately 120 local (majority) and international delegates are expected to attend the conference. This year’s conference aims to be a spark for members to drive summer operations, as well as to inspire and energize members to take actions towards their goals and leave our legacy as our generation. Enclosed in this booklet, you will find the necessary information required for your application. We wish you the best of luck and look forward to receiving your application!

1. Types of Facilitators The faci team is pivotal in ensuring that the objectives of NLDC 2015 are met, and that the delegates have an impactful and memorable conference experience. This year for NLDC 2015, we are looking for 2 types of profile 1. Facilitators (5 Facis) – Open to Intl Facis – Open to (local) AIESEC Alumnis whom have left AIESEC within 2 years 2. Home Group Hosts (2-4 Hosts) – Open to LCEBs & TLs in AIESEC Singapore


A.1) FACILITATOR PROFILE We are looking for individuals who possess the following: Desired Experience • Current or past leadership experience in AIESEC (MC experience preferred) Desired Skills and Experience : • Facilitation experience (National Level) • Good organizational understanding (knowledge of national, regional or global direction of AIESEC) • Good understanding of AIESEC’s role and relevance to society • Excellent communication skills in English • Excellent interpersonal skills


A.2) EXPECTATIONS FOR FACILITATOR As a facilitator, you will be expected to work closely with the Agenda Manager, Chair, and facilitator team to plan, design and execute the conference sessions. As such, the following work ethics are expected from you: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.

Participate in all pre-conference and post-conference meetings Proactively facilitate discussions to deepen delegates’ learning during and after sessions Support facilitators’ team before and during the conference Sharing of experiences and interacting intensely with delegates Proactively create a conference culture of excitement, fun and impact Strong commitment to the development of NLDC 2015 virtually Observe strict adherence to the conference deadlines Commitment to the highest standards of preparation and delivery of sessions


A.3) Faci time commitment All facilitators must be able to commit to the following: • Virtual Presence (Nov 8th – 5th December 2014) • More hours are to be expected closer to the conference for session preparation • Possible weekly Skype meetings for session evaluation, feedback and other discussions Physical Presence: • Pre-Meet: 5th – 7th December 2015 • NLDC 2015: 8th – 12th December 2015 • Post Conference: 13th December 2015


B.1) Host Profile Desired Experience : • LC VP and above (Min TL experience) Desired Skills and Experience : • Open-mindedness • Great social and communication skills • Willingness to understand delegates and their experience • Willingness to step out of your comfort zone • Keen interest in self development Key Responsibilities: • Hosting home group spaces • Understanding and interpreting delegates needs • Brainstorming ideas with other hosts


B.2) Expectations for Hosts Your role would be to host a group of delegates and guide them along a journey of discovery during the conference. The following is expected of a host : 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Work together closely with the AM/Tribes Space coordinator Participate in pre-conference and post-conference meetings (You do not need to participate for the full meetings) Support facilitators’ team before and during the conference Sharing of experiences and interacting intensely with delegates Commitment to the development of tribe spaces before the conference (Physicial Presence is needed)


B.3) Host time commitment All facilitators must be able to commit to the following: • Virtual Presence (Nov 8th – 5th December 2014) • More hours are to be expected closer to the conference for session preparation Physical Presence: • Pre-Meet: 5th – 7th December 2015 (full attendance not required) • NLDC 2015: 8th – 12th December 2015 • Post Conference: 13th December 2015 (full attendance not required)


2. Benefits FACILITATOR BENEFITS • Waiver of NLDC 2015 delegate fee • Provision of accommodation, meals and transportation incurred for the purpose of the conference (including pre and post conference meetings) • Travel costs to and from Singapore will not be covered for international facilitators.

Host Benefits • Gain insights on how to design and craft hosted spaces for LEAD Programme • Waiver of NLDC2015 Delegate fee will not be provided for hosts
