三 教 名 山 —“ 西 樵 山 ” 西樵山集儒、释、道三教于一山，被誉为“三教名山”。有西樵山佛教文化的精
佛教胜地 南海观音文化苑、宝峰寺景区
华所在地——南海观音景区、 明代的宝峰寺景区、 超过 600 多年历史的白云古寺； 有儒学之代表——清代建成的字祖庙；有道教场地——清乾隆的攻玉书院改为 的云泉仙馆，清末民初·西樵黄大仙祠，1915 年始建香港黄大仙祠。
自南汉以来西樵山已经是佛教胜地，至明朝西樵山佛教发展达鼎盛之时，山 中有宝峰寺、云岩古寺、宝莲寺、接承寺、白云古寺等。西樵山与道教渊源深厚，
早在东晋，道人葛洪常在西樵山停留，遗下丹井和泊岸处。传说当年吕洞宾在南 粤上空游历，看到西樵山风光秀丽，游兴大发，左足踏罗浮山、右足踏在西樵山， 在西樵山留下仙足、仙床、试剑石等美景。从此后，每年的大仙诞成为西樵山千百 年不衰的民俗活动。 自东晋佛教传入中国，首站是南海郡。南海观音与古南海郡有殊胜姻缘，观音文 化在岭南地区已经深入民心，形成“家家阿弥陀，户户观世音”深厚文化。 南海观音文化苑在 1994 年民间捐资用红铜锻造，屹今为止是世界上最高的观音 坐像，吸引了万千游客顶礼膜拜。
