Dear Members, It seems like just yesterday I was looking out my window seeing snow on the ground wishing for better weather…well, we got it! Our summer is off to a great start and our club is in constant motion. Whether we have been focused on our growing membership, amazing course conditions or superb junior activities, there are so many positives for me to discuss. The main item I would like to address is the exciting announcement of an amazing addition to our management team. This June, our kitchen gained a new leader who is going to evolve our club’s dining experience to be something we can all be proud of. Executive Chef Joe Andersen is developing a list of savory weekly specials to enjoy before he will be announcing his full menu revision, which will be coming in early August. If you see Joe around the club, please welcome him to our community. This year’s Celebrity Invitational was a major hit amongst all who participated. This event is a highlight event for our entire club, as we have guests fly in from around the country annually to see what our committee will put together year after year. From the amazing course conditions to the level of service, unforgettable food and unparalleled camaraderie, you should all be proud of your 2018 Celebrity Committee: Cindy and Nick Buresh, Caroline and Trevor Knuth, Jen and Derek Lyman, and Rita and Marlin Lyon. I would also like to recognize that we are all very proud that such a wonderful member will be recognized as our champion…congratulations, Bob Cirone! Take a moment to review the following pages and see all the smiling faces, young and old alike. Our club is fulfilling our vision statement on a daily basis and it shows with so many people enjoying some of the best golf, swim, tennis, leisure and social activities in the state of Nebraska! Make sure you are sharing all the extraordinary experiences with your family and friends. There are still plenty more to come in 2018! With all of this, I’d like to conclude with the fact that our club is currently at the healthiest position we have seen in recent history. The Visionary Preview Program helped our club grow by 62 families. That means our club currently has over 525 families enjoying all we have to offer. I am so extremely proud of all the things happening at our club and I hope you are as well. Hope to see you around the club soon!

THANKS, FOXES & HENS! Our Stagette ladies had a blast on June 24 at our 2nd Annual "Fox in the Hen House" event, where the ladies purchased their fourth player, an HCC man, to play with them. GOLF SHOP CREDIT In an effort to close out my year end books and begin the 2019 season with new merchandise in the Golf Shop, I have the following policy: Members holding Golf Shop credit must spend their credit by December 15, 2018. We will be offering special pricing on IN STOCK merchandise only. Special order merchandise will be subject to regular retail pricing. - Mike Brown Hillcrest Director of Golf
FRIENDLY REMINDERS... A Social Golf Membership affords a playing privilege a total of 6 times annually. These rounds are not transferrable and are considered redeemed if 9 or 18 holes have been played. A social member may rent the use of a riding cart. Reservations for play must be arranged by calling the Pro Shop at 402.489.8181. A playing guest may be hosted for golf a total of 6 times annually, and is inconsequential of the member hosting. This includes Men's Stags, Men's Golf Breakfasts and Ladies' Guest Events. The golf course and the practice facilities open at 12:00 PM on Mondays (when the club is not hosting an outside event). We do not allow golf or practice to begin before this time. The Board of Directors asks all members and their guests to observe this policy. Please remember it is in the best interest of our golf course to keep riding carts on cart paths near tees and greens. Minimizing unnecessary traffic in these high volume areas will help the grass remain strong during the heat of the summer. Please remember to repair your ball mark on greens and, when time allows, one more. All daily play rounds begin on #1 Tee. Beginning your round on #10 Tee must have the approval of a golf shop staff member. Groups playing 18 holes and making the turn have the right of way on #10 Tee. All guests of the club should settle their fees before their round begins and use of the locker room facilities for changing into golf attire.
Hillcrest asks all golfers to NOT apply bug spray while on grass areas of the course. The chemicals used in these sprays will harm the turf. Thank you for your cooperation! - Hillcrest Board of Directors Page 22
