Dear Members,
What a memorable and busy summer we had at the pool this year! It sure was fun to see fireworks return to Hillcrest again for the Fourth of July weekend! Thank you to all of the members who have entrusted my staff to teach your children and grandchildren to swim (and hopefully fall in love with the water!) We had over 250 registrations for our four sessions of group lessons, plus nearly 120 members on the swim team and 20 divers this summer.
Our swimmers continued to make Hillcrest proud, by bringing home our 12th consecutive swim league team title and the dive team won their city championship meet as well! A big congratulations goes out to Claire Sailer, who broke the 13-14-year-old girls' 50-yard butterfly record, by 2 seconds, at the championship meet! Thank you to our 15 over swimmers: Ellie Hiser, Avari Korsmo, Mya Blomenberg, Harry Dunder, and TJ Blomenberg, for providing great leadership for the team! Congratulations to our 2022 Waterbug award winners – Kennedy Vasek, Abe Gove, Grace Hoffschneider, JT Kapparos, Sophie Hiser, Beni Gates, Ellie Hiser, Henry Korsmo, Evelyn Casady, and Teddy Vacek your hard work, positive attitudes and dedication to the team are appreciated! And a big thank you to our parents for all of their support for the program you’re the best!
