Dear Hillcrest Members, What a great 2016 it has been! As we reflect on this past year there have been so many memorable stories that were created for our member families and their guests. Here are a few highlights to re-share: For starters the participation in all of our Junior Programs was at an all-time high with over 160 swimmers in our aquatics programs, 100 plus tennis players, and just over 120 junior golfers and Peewees! And beyond our high participation in these programs, we have so much more to celebrate. Our Waterbugs were once again the City Champions for 2016. Furthermore, our youth events exceeded previous year’s attendance. Most significantly our Kids Halloween Extravaganza was the most attended event of the year with over 500 members and guests on hand. Our Junior Golf Divot Fill Pizza Party and our Father’s Day Cardboard Boat Races got the whole family involved in the fun once again this year, and proved to be some of our member’s favorite events. And the fun doesn't stop there, please mark your calendar for these upcoming family events such as our bigger and better Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 3rd and our Father Daughter Dance on Saturday, February 4th. These youth events capture the essence of what our club is truly about – creating extraordinary experiences and memorable stories for our families. We also cannot overlook all of the physical improvements that have been made to our beautiful club this past year. Here are a few highlights:  Renovation to the club’s dining facilities  Addition of the pool Patio and bar area  The rebuild of the Tennis Center, expansion of the Driving Range, and redesign of Hole #4  Addition of the Verdin Clock and the stone retaining wall feature What great things we have accomplished in 2016! I have no doubt that the next fiscal year will be just as exciting as the last. As we look forward, it is important to note that our membership is our greatest asset and current membership numbers are solid, with over 480 family memberships. We have been very fortunate to have recruited several new members this past year but during our upcoming fall/winter season it is important that the Club continue to promote and expand our membership. Hillcrest continues to be a club were families “grow up” together and create those life-long memorable stories. Please refer prospective members to the membership initiatives on the following page and direct any interested parties to contact me for details. I hope you agree that these initiatives provide a great opportunity to belong to our wonderful club and community. Sincerely,

GOLF SHOP CREDIT NOTICE In an effort to close my year end and begin the 2017 season with new merchandise in the golf shop, I have the following policy: Members holding golf shop credit must spend their credit by Thursday, December 15, 2016. Credit may not be used on special orders. Dear Member: It is always fun to look back over the year, and reflect on the excitement that we all had on the golf course. From the newly renovated Driving Range and Short Game Center opening in May to the Junior Drive, Chip and Putt Qualifier in June to our Annual Glow Ball Golf Scramble in September and all the summer holidays in between, we have enjoyed some great times and great golf this season. Your strong support in golf is why Hillcrest is such a wonderful club! The leaves are changing colors and some are falling, however, there are still plenty of beautiful days of golf ahead. There is no need to put the clubs away. Take advantage of this special time of year, and enjoy playing fall golf with friends and family at Hillcrest. The course is in fantastic shape! It will not be long before beginning a new season. 2017 will feature new permanent PGA Family Tees on the front nine. This will be a great opportunity for all family members to play golf together and enjoy the game from an appropriate distance. Please read more about this fantastic addition to our course in this edition of the Highlights. The Celebrity Invitational Member-Guest will be held June 22nd, 23rd and 24th 2017. Our Ladies Golf Association will be announcing an exciting new format for 2017. More details will be announced later. The junior golf program will continue to offer the best golfing opportunities in the area. See our full schedule of events in the January Highlights or on the club’s website. Gear up to spend another fun summer at your club, and enjoy all that Hillcrest has to offer! Best in Golf,

Mike Brown – Director of Golf
