Dear Membership, With the first six months behind me as General Manager I feel a great sense of pride in the club we are building together. Hillcrest is truly a special place to be a member and a fantastic place to be an employee. I realize that a our club cannot be built by one man alone, it takes a community of devoted members and staff who want to provide a fantastic experience for their own families as well as enrich the community of families that belong to Hillcrest. I was recently impressed when a member detailed their interest in wanting to be “more than just a member. For those people who want to be a part of the overall direction of our club, I invite you to participate in the following ways. Join a committee! We have committees for everything: Insurance, Golf, Grounds and Greens, Swim, Membership, Food and Beverage, Tennis, Long Range Planning. Our Board of Directors and Management Team are always looking for creative and critical thinkers who can better the club experience. The time commitment for these meetings are rarely more than a couple hours, two or three times a year but the impact you have on our club is felt long after the meeting is through. Let me know if you would have any interest in joining any of our committees. Share your thoughts! My office is always open and I encourage thoughtful conversation and engagement. Please always feel free to knock on my door or setup a meeting to discuss items related to Hillcrest or our community. I also would encourage you to do this with anyone on the Hillcrest Management Team. Attend the Annual Meeting! The Annual Meeting, scheduled Wednesday, November 15th, is a chance for you to see the overall picture of our club. So often people get fixated on one corner of the operation without giving a thought to the entire club, as a whole. For those members who want to learn more about Hillcrest, I will be sharing a recap of our financial year, as well as laying out the vision for our club in the coming year. Again, I have a great sense of pride in our club and our team. This is something that makes working here very special. I encourage anyone who wants to be more involved in the direction of our club to contact me directly via phone or email. 402.489.7111 or ztyson@hillcrestcountryclub.com Sincerely,
A Message From the General Manager

Golf Shop Credit Memo: In an effort to close my year end books and begin 2018 season with new merchandise in the golf shop, Hillcrest has the following policy. Members holding Golf Shop Credit must spend their credit by December 15, 2017. We will be offering special pricing on IN STOCK merchandise only. Special order merchandise will be subject to regular retail pricing. Dear Member, We have had beautiful days and some not so nice days of weather this fall, but there should still be very playable days for golf in the remaining weeks of the calendar year. The course is in fantastic shape so don’t put away your clubs just yet!
It will not be long before the beginning a new golf season. Our men’s and women’s golf committees will be meeting this fall and over the winter months to discuss and plan all the fun golf events and programs for 2018. See our full schedule of events in the January Highlights or on the club’s website. Gear up to spend another fun summer at your club, and enjoy all that Hillcrest has to offer! Best in Golf,
Mike Brown Director of Golf
