Zeppelin University Zeppelin University ( ZU ) in Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance is a foundation university bridging business, culture, and politics and is accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities. Executive Master in Digital Pioneering | eMA DIP The part-time program of studies in Digital Pioneering prepares creative employees for digital business ideas. It analyzes the framework conditions, trends, and impacts of digitalization from the perspectives of business administration, communication studies, and social sciences. The development of one’s own digital business idea, the personal meetings with innovative players in the area of digitalization, the practicing of scientific methods, and the interdisciplinary reflection on digital transformations: all of these make Digital Pioneering a currently extremely relevant thinking space with a global focus. The cooperation with renowned partners such as Cape Town University in South Africa and the c onsistently practice-oriented didactic approach result in an innovative e ducational voyage which closely combines research orientation and practical relevance. Aim of the Program of Studies Our curriculum has an interdisciplinary orientation and enables the participants to develop and implement digital business models in an innovative way. To achieve this, the program combines content from business administration, such as innovation and technology management, marketing, business model innovation, and management theory with issues from the social sciences, such as network the ory, trend research, and analyses of the legal, social, and political contexts of digitalization.
All participants apply with the idea of a digital business model innovation. During the first twelve months, this idea is elaborated on, completed, revised again and again, and addressed in all details, parallel to the seminar sessions and applying the learned contents. That way, every theory that is introduced is immediately transferred into the actual practice of the individual participant. In this program the participants are enabled to understand their company’s business models, to improve them, and to modernize them if required. They learn to develop new business models and to understand the business models of their customers in order to be able to design customer-oriented consulting offers, products, and services. International Academy | Module Abroad The aim of the module abroad is to develop culturally comparative perspectives and to link theory and practical application. It includes scientific seminars at one of our partner universities, personal meetings with relevant players involved in digital transformation, as well as visits to local companies, start-ups, and incubators. Our cooperation partners include world leading universities like Cape Town University in South Africa. Target Group Operative employees, executives, and freelancers from the areas of information technology, energy supply, communication, automotive industry, trade, pharmaceutical production, etc. Admission Requirements | a completed study program of at least three years at a university, an institution equivalent to a university, or a university of applied sciences | relevant professional experience of at least 12 months | existing employment relationship | proof of English language skills – ZU test | successful participation in multilevel ZU admission procedure
