The story of how a man survived an attack by a swarm of angry killer bees is something fit for an episode of the DSTV reality drama I Shouldn’t be Alive. This was what Shane Jacobson (30) from Makhado (Louis Trichardt) thought while he was hiding from the swarm in a swimming pool, his back injured, while struggling to breathe and with his strength rapidly waning. Only moments before, Shane had been relaxing metres above the ground in a tree, looking down on the world. Shane and his wife, Petro (33), are the owners of Tree Top Surgeon, an arborist company here in town. Shane cuts down problematic trees for a living and was on duty at a house in Krogh Street last Thursday, 30 January, when he was attacked by the bees. “It was a perfect day, and the sun was just breaking through the clouds,” said Shane. He was hanging from the tree in his safety harness taking a smoke break and looking down on the children playing at the Borrels Nursery School, next to the client’s house. At that stage, he had already sawn off about five branches of the tree. The next moment, without warning, the bees unleashed their raging fury on Shane. “Two bees stung me on the ear, and then they [the bees] were everywhere.” The attack was unlike anything Shane had ever come across in his years as an arborist. “Usually, a swarm will send out a little scout that buzzes around your head for a while, in which case we will leave the tree alone for a bit and come back later.” Not on Wednesday. In a matter of seconds, the bees were everywhere. “The suckers even got

into my mouth,” said Shane. With the bees covering his face, back and neck with stings, Shane’s eyes and face quickly started to swell. Without being able to see what he was doing, Shane tried frantically to release his safety ropes. The safety clip jammed, however, and Shane plummeted about three storeys down to mother earth. “According to the owner of the nursery school, the little kids next door learned some new words as Shane was coming down that tree,” Petro cuts in. On impact with the ground, Shane felt a jolt of pain going through his back. Even so, he managed to struggle through the ropes entangling his feet and get himself to the swimming pool, about six metres away. His chainsaw went with him into the pool. At the deep end of the pool, Shane realized that he needed to remain under water. “But I could only hold my breath for about four seconds,” he said. With every dragging minute, Shane’s strength also diminished. “I just kept thinking ‘I cannot die like this, keep breathing, focus on breathing … breathe’.” Fortunately, Shane’s employees braved the bees’ onslaught and came to his rescue. One fetched a can of insecticide from the bakkie and handed it to Shane, who emptied it on himself. The other employee went running down the street, screaming for help. Pierre Jonker, hearing the man’s frantic cries, rushed to help Shane, who had managed to wade over to the shallow end of the pool in the meantime. Despite constant attacks by the bees, they scooped Shane out of the pool and rushed him to the Louis Trichardt Memorial Hospital. Doctors say his back will heal (Contd from P1) “All I felt was this insane burning all over my body. They could have stung me a hundred times more and I wouldn’t have felt it,” said Shane. At the memorial hospital, Shane was stabilized and transferred to the Zoutpansberg Private Hospital where he received anti-venom, oxygen treatment and some strong pain medication. Here, Petro and Shane’s grandmother removed dead bees and stingers from him until they covered the whole of his hospital bed. “The bees got him everywhere – some stung him inside his mouth, in his ears and even on the insides of his eyes,” Petro told the newspaper. “There must have been hundreds of thousands of bees.” She kept watch at Shaun’s hospital bed, lovingly taking care of him.

While Shane was recuperating in hospital, the Makhado (Louis Trichardt) community once again proved that when someone is in distress, they are ready to jump in and lend a helping hand. “We were overwhelmed by the community’s reaction,” said Shane and Petro. “There are so many people who supported us. They are too many to thank by name, but to everyone who helped, called or SMSed, thank you,” said Shane and Petro. Lots of friends and family and even strangers helped the Jacobson family to cover their medical expenses. Fortunately, Shane’s lower-back vertebra had sustained only a fracture during the fall, and his doctors say that it should heal on its own. Shane just needs to keep out of trees for a while.

Another major leak contributing to water shortages and the draining of the water supply of Makhado (Louis Trichardt) for more than a month was discovered last week. Some parts of town are still affected by water shortages. On Wednesday, 29 January, AfriForum followed up on a valuable tip-off from community members and discovered that streams of precious drinking water had been flowing into the storm water drainage system. Limpopo Democratic Alliance leader Jacques Smalle was invited by AfriForum Louis Trichardt’s chairperson, Mr Wally Schultz, to come and have a look at the leak, which was at the corner of Ruh and President Street. Smalle commented later that the pipeline leak was part of a bigger picture. “I would like to see an impact study to determine the real replacement cost of replacing all old existing pipelines on the whole water network of the town, all those pipelines that have gone past their lifespan. Every time a pipe bursts, it costs the municipality. But with clever financial management, the network can be replaced. There are many options available for the funding of such a project if the will is there and the proper studies and business plans have been done.” Municipal workers were quickly on the scene to work on the pipeline, which is on a line coming in from the Albasini dam. “This is a very serious leak. Contractors are temporarily repairing it, but as soon as the levels of the reservoirs have picked up, we shall cut the water and call the contractor to do permanent repairs,” Mr David Mukosi, the water services manager of the Vhembe District Municipality (VDM) in

Makhado said on Tuesday. Schultz said that a resident and AfriForum member, Mr Freddie de Swardt, had been hearing “noises emanating from the storm water drain outside his house that sounded like an aeroplane taking off”. In addition, he had smelt a powerful chlorine smell and drawn the conclusion that water from the main line was leaking into the storm water drain. Another resident had remarked that the town dam nearby kept receiving water although it was not raining at that time. Schultz was first on the scene and alerted the municipality. The day before, Schultz and members of the VDM were searching for leaks and found a major leak in the industrial area near Eden Oil. The fact that water kept flowing in from the Albasini Dam to the reservoirs, but the

reservoirs kept losing water, showed that there had to be a leak or leaks. The VDM opened valves to redirect the water from Mowkop to the Bergh Street reservoir, but the reservoirs were very low and people had been suffering without water since about 21 January. Mowkop reservoir, which had very little water and stood between 0% and 5% on 29 January, was 20% full on Tuesday, while the Bergh Street reservoir, a smaller one, had increased from about 50% to 80%. In the meantime, some residents in the part of town west of the N1 were still without water. “We still get complaints from residents from ‘old town’ and from the Grasdak in Celliers Street that their water supply has not been restored, but we are attending to the matter,” Mukosi said.

NDS is managed by owner Mrs Lebogang Lekotoko, who holds a master’s degree in Food Service Management from the Vaal University of Technology. With her knowledge and skills, Lekotoko has decided to give back to the community by providing training for school leavers, women in communities (often the sole providers of the family), as well as workers already work-

ing in the industry of hospitality management. Having grown up here in Makhado (Louis Trichardt), Lekotoko knows that people from a rural community struggle to make a decent living with little or no education. NDS will be a training facility, Lekotoko explained, that will ultimately bridge the gap of unemployment by providing the necessary skill for people unable to qualify for further education at a technical college or university. In other words, NDS will provide a service to people from a rural background who wish to learn a marketable skill, thus empowering themselves and obtaining a valid certificate at the end of the day, enforcing their newly acquired skills. NDS can also assist small companies who seek to provide training for interns to address their skills shortage. The courses provided by NDS will serve as an introductory phase to a national diploma. “Course material for the field of Food and Beverage Studies will cover personal hygiene, hygiene and safety in the workplace, culinary skills, menu planning and costing, function planning, stock management and customer relations, and for those in the working class, we provide courses like leadership skills, communication skills, business management skills, and entrepreneurial skills, to mention just a few.” NDS’s first classes will start in mid-February 2014, and Lekotoko will travel between her office at Vanderbijlpark and Vhembe to accommodate students here. Onrus in woongebied ná verdagtes ontsnap Alle klasse by Masedi Combined School in Tshikota is Vrydag onderbreek ná die ontsnapping van vier gevaarlike aangehoudenes uit polisiebewaking in Makhado (Louis Trichardt). Algemene ontevredenheid met die polisie se optrede en owerheidsdienste het ná die ontsnapping oorgegaan tot brandende versperrings in hierdie woongebied se strate. Die vier mans wat ontsnap het, was Given Mphofu (24), Dzulani Nemukula (23), Evans Chipara en Trust Chikwadzi. Besorgde ouers het Vrydag gehaas om hul kinders uit die skool na veiligheid te neem, nadat ‘n gerug die rondte gedoen het dat een van die gewapende ontsnaptes in die omgewing van die skool opgemerk is. Die ouers wou tydens ‘n noodvergadering in die gemeenskapsaal in Tshikota van die polisie weet hoe die misdadigers kon ontsnap het. Die ontsteltenis het oorgegaan tot verontwaardiging toe die plaaslike polisiehoof, kol. Francois Ramovha, hulle ingelig het dat die vier mans deur net een polisieman geleide gedoen is na die hofsaal, waar hulle vir die soveelste keer op klagte van beweerde oortredings moes verskyn. Mphofu en sy makkers het klaarblyklik ‘n skrikbewind in Tshikota gevoer. Inwoners het ook die HOP-huis van Mphofu se vriendin aan die brand gesteek. Kort ná die onrus, op 27 November, is Mphofu en Nemukula, asook die 23-jarige Courage Shoko, gearresteer. Die huidige murasie van die afgebrande Tshikota Lodge se hoofingang is net ‘n klipgooi weg van die gemeenskapsaal waar die gemeenskap vir kol. Ramovha gekonfronteer het oor die ontsnappings. Die gemeenskap se ontsteltenis met die optrede van die polisie het die afgelope naweek oorgekook in algemene ontevredenheid. Strate is versper met boomstompe, klippe en brandende buitebande en volgens berigte moes die polisie rubberkoeëls gebruik om oproeriges te probeer beheer. Laat Dinsdagmiddag het die uitgebrande vullis en die oorblyfsels van beskadigde verkeerstekens saam met die rommel nog steeds in die strate gelê. Teen druktyd was daar nog geen aanduiding of enige van die vier ontsnaptes al deur die polisie aangekeer is nie.

Rare gesig - Vir die eerste keer ná 2000 se vloede loop die Albasinidam weer oor Die Albasinidam is vol … en dit is beslis nie ‘n alledaagse verskynsel nie! “Vir die vierde keer in die 44 jaar wat ons hier woon, is al 13 sluise van die Albasinidam oopgetrek,” sê ‘n bekende inwoner van die omgewing, mnr. Charles Leach. Hy sê dat die dam beslis meer as 100% vol is, te oordeel aan die vlak van die opdrifsels. “Wat vir ons verblydend is, is dat dit nie gepaardgegaan het met ‘n sikloon of ‘n ding wat al die brûe en paaie weggespoel het nie. Dit is die eerste keer na 2000 se vloed, waarvan ek weet, dat die sluise oopgemaak is as gevolg van die baie water en nie om toetse te doen nie,” het Leach gesê. Die Departement van Waterwese gee ook die persentasie vir die Albasinidam as 100.7% soos op 3 Februarie. Die Albasinidam se kapasiteit is 28 miljoen kubieke meter. Die Middel-Letabadam staan op 54.8%, wat ook ‘n groot klomp water is, as gevolg van sy reu se kapasiteit van 172 miljoen kubieke meter. Die

groot Nandonidam (166 miljoen kubieke meter) is 104.3% vol, terwyl die Nzheleledam van 51 miljoen kubieke meter en die Vondodam van 30.5 miljoen kubieke meter beide oorloop. Vanuit die Musina-omgewing het mnr. Johan Taute Dinsdag berig dat hulle ongeveer 170mm reën vir die week gehad het en meer as 250mm vir die seisoen. “Ons het ‘n verskriklike goeie jaar en die diere is vet. Ons temperature in Desember was laer as gewoonlik en Januarie was baie bedompig, met kort-kort ‘n buitjie reën wat uitsak. Alles met die weer is so perfek,” sê Taute. Tshipise skyn minder gelukkig te wees. “Ons het 34mm reën aan die begin van Januarie gehad en 40mm oor die laaste vier dae. In Desember het ons 37mm gehad,” het mnr. Peter Nicholson van Tshipise gesê. Vanuit Alldays berig mnr. Robert Gallon dat hulle vir Januarie tussen 100mm en 120mm reën gekry het en vir die hele seisoen sowat 280mm.

“Die laaste klompie dae het ons net sowat 4mm gemeet, maar Vivo het die laaste week meer reën gehad. Berigte vanuit Vivo van 40mm tot 50mm reën het ons bereik,” het Gallon gesê. In Makhado (Louis Trichardt) vertel mnr. Willie Agenbacht dat hy in Malvastraat 379mm vir die hele Januarie gemeet het, met 138mm verlede Vrydag. In Februarie het daar tot dusver 80mm geval. “Die aanduidings is daar dat ons in ‘n beter fase inbeweeg,” het Agenbacht gesê. Mnr. Fritz Ahrens, voorsitter van die Levubu Boerevereniging, berig ‘n ongelooflike 466mm vanaf 27 Januarie tot 4 Februarie. Die totale vir Desember, Januarie en Februarie tot dusver is 85mm, 396mm en 188mm onderskeidelik, soos gemeet op die plaas Sterkstroom by die Piesanghoekpad. “Ons is verheug en vol dankbaarheid, veral oor die Albasini wat vol is. Ons sou op 27 Januarie begin het met besproeiing,” sê Ahrens. Mnr. Stephen Hoffman, voorsitter van die Soutpansberg Distrikslandbou-unie (SDLU), het

Hoffman sê dat die stelsel wel nog reën kan uitgooi, maar dat die intensiteit daarvan sal afneem. “Daar is nie, sover ek weet, ‘n nuwe stelsel of addisionele vog wat inbeweeg nie. Dit gaan nou maar net oor die vog wat reeds in die stelsel is, wat nog kan neerlsaan. Ek dink ons sal ‘n bietjie afgebroke bewolkte sonskynweer hê, en dalk van die naweek af weer ‘n bietjie reën,” het Hoffman Dinsdag gesê.

The linking of this borehole should bring relief to the central business district and surrounding residential areas. “Three new boreholes are being drilled around Mowkop, according to the AfriForum action plan, to bring relief to ‘new town’ and surrounds,” says Schultz. AfriForum has demanded the urgent renovation of all 14 boreholes that have been dysfunctional for years. Vhembe accepted this demand and contractors are renovating and replacing pumps, which will bring relief to these desperate residents. Another demand is the much-needed improving of the security situation at all water infrastructure under Vhembe’s management. AfriForum’s action plan for supplying water to Makhado (Louis Trichardt) is being implemented and hopes are high that a consistent water flow will become a reality. The action plan recognizes the fact that water shortages can often be attributed to the inevitable leaks on the ageing Albasini pipeline, which supplies water to the majority of residents, as well as to the constantly vandalized 14 boreholes southwest of town which supply the older part of town. The Vhembe District Municipality (VDM) agreed to drill new boreholes near the Mowkop reservoir and the Bergh Street reservoir. “AfriForum has insisted that an alternative water supply be found via the drilling of new boreholes close to each reservoir, and the linking of existing boreholes that are in close proximity to a reservoir,” local AfriForum chairperson Wally Schultz said last week. The reasoning is obvious. Sources to augment the water supply in the case of a shutdown of the Albasini plant for repairs are urgently needed. “We already know that the Albasini pipeline will develop new leaks on a predictably regular basis. When this does happen, the Albasini pump system gets shut down to facilitate repairs. Each time this

• MAKHULU 5 CYCLING RACES The region’s cyclists are invited to partici-

pate in the annual Makhulu 5 race. This year, the race will be held on two different days. The mountain bike race will take place on Saturday, 8 February, with the road race on the following day. Both races will be hosted at the Polokwane Game Reserve, and pre-registrations can be done on Friday, 7 February, from 17:30 until 19:00 at Saljoojess Cycle or on race day at 05:30 until 06:30. In the mountain bike category there will be a kiddies ride (1km), a fun ride (18km), a half-marathon (38km) and a marathon (75km). The entry fees for these categories are, respectively, free for the kiddies, R50, R80 and R120. For the road race on Sunday, the organisers have determined a different format. This year, the winners will be determined by the number of 15km laps completed during a fixed time. There will be a three-, two- and one-hour race. Entry fees are R120, R80 and R50. Blydskap oor Engelse boeke, maar wat van Afrikaans? Dit bly ‘n heuglike dag as daar handboeke by ‘n skool opdaag. So het Laerskool Louis Trichardt ook gejuig toe ‘n klompie van die Graad 7 handboeke op 3 Februarie by die skool opdaag. Met die infasering van die nuwe CAPS (Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements) kurrikulum, moet daar na heeltemal nuwe handboeke oorgeskakel word. Wat die laerskole betref, moes Graad 4 tot 6 reeds in 2013 oorgeskakel het na die nuwe kurrikulum. Graad 7 se beurt is vanjaar. Limpopo premier Stanley Mathabatha het gesê dat die hoofdoel om die leermateriaal (handboeke) die vorige jaar aan te koop en af te lewer, is om te verseker dat die leerlinge op die eerste dag van die jaar kan begin met onderwys. Dit volgens die amptelike verklaring oor die aankoop en verspreiding van leermateriaal deur die premier in Oktober verlede jaar. “Ons is baie bly vir die boeke wat gekom het. Omtrent so ‘n kwart van die nuwe Graad 7 CAPS sillabus se handboeke het gekom. Die Graad 4 tot 6 se boeke het verlede jaar gekom, die meeste daarvan,” het die skoolhoof, mnr. Louis

Volgens wat berig is op ‘n CAPS opleidingsvergadering, wil dit voorkom of die landelike skole hul handboeke eerste ontvang het. “In die tussentyd wag ons maar vir ons uitstaande handboeke,” het Linde gesê. Daar is ook ‘n waarskuwing aan skole gerig om nie na politieke partye te hardloop met inligting van handboeke wat sogenaamd nie afgelewer is nie. “Alle tekorte moet aan distrikkantore gerig word,” het die verklaring gelui. Die skool se adjunkhoof, me. Irene Adendorff, het ‘n dik lêer korrespondensie oor handboeknavrae sedert die begin van die implementering van die nuwe kurrikulum. Die afleweringsbeampte, wat nie sy naam genoem wil hê nie, was besorg oor die feit dat die skool genoem het dat daar nog geen Afrikaanse boeke gekom het nie. “Gee vir my die rekwisisie met die stempel en ek sal dit opvolg,” het hy aangebied. Hy het aan die Zoutpansberger gesê dat hulle al 96% van die handboeke in Limpopo afgelewer het en dat hy wel al Afrikaanse boeke by skole afgelewer het. Retired army captain arrested at border

Police at the Beit Bridge border have arrested a retired Zimbabwean army captain for smuggling an ammunition-reloading machine to the value of R30 000 into Zimbabwe from South Africa. Godfrey Mutasa (54) of Harare was intercepted by police detectives and Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) officials last Thursday afternoon when he was about to leave the border. He was convicted on his own plea of guilty of contravening a section of the Customs and Excise Act when he appeared before Beit Bridge Magistrate Gloria Takundwa on Monday. He was fined US$800 or 10 months in prison for smuggling the machine, which reloads bullets with gun powder. The machine was forfeited to the State as part of the sentence. The court was told that Mutasa arrived in the country from South Africa on Thursday, driving a Mazda BT50 bakkie with the machine, which he declared to ZIMRA officials as vehicle spare parts worth R1 200. After undergoing all the immigration and customs procedures, Mutasa decided to leave the border post, but was intercepted by alert police detectives and ZIMRA officials near the exit gate. A search of the vehicle was conducted, resulting in the discovery of the machine. He was asked to produce the customs clearance documents but failed, resulting in his arrest.

Dit is God die Heilige Gees wat die reddingswerk van Christus in ons lewens bewerk. Dan lewe ons in geloof in Christus, en wanneer Hy weer kom om Sy kinders te kom haal, sal ons vir ewig saam met Hom lewe in ‘n nuwe hemel en nuwe aarde wat God beloof vir Sy kinders. Zim police launch crackdown on cattle rustlers Police at Beit Bridge have launched an antistock-theft operation, following an upsurge in cases of organised cross-border cattle rustling in the district. Police spokesperson Chief Supt Patrick Majuta said it was revealed during a district crime consultative meeting held at Lutumba Business Centre on Friday that 131 cases of stock theft were reported

between January and December last year. He said 143 heads of cattle, 98 donkeys, 32 sheep, 290 goats and 201 chickens were lost. “We are worried about the rampant theft of livestock around the Beit Bridge district ... and we have intensified the fight against stock theft. It is shocking that, out of 143 cattle that were stolen last year, we only recovered 53 and our worry is that

some cases go unreported. We are therefore calling on members of the community to complement our efforts in the fight against stock theft,” he said. Majuta said they had tightened regulations controlling the movement and sale of livestock. “We have introduced brand and sales registers of all livestock, that will be kept by both traditional leaders and the police for easy accountability and

crime detection.” The spokesperson of the Beit Bridge Farmers Association, Mr Salatiel Muleya, urged traditional leaders and the local authority to complement police efforts in fighting the scourge. He said some the stolen cattle were smuggled out of the country to South Africa and Mozambique through the Sengwe and Madimbo corridors.

Swedish land owner secures orphanage A three-year dream of a local Swedish landowner, Mr Leif Rahmqvist, became a reality when a partnership agreement was reached late last year between the Alldays local municipality, the local community and Mr Rahmqvist from Mapungubwe Game Reserve (Pty) Ltd. Rahmqvist’s dream to establish a fully-fledged orphanage and day-care centre is now beginning to take shape. Construction of the first phase of the projects is already in progress. Rahmqvist was touched by the poverty, homelessness and disease encountered in the surrounding area of the town of Alldays, close to his ranch. There are many orphans who have lost their parents to Aids and other diseases, he said. “The children get one daily meal at a local dropin centre run by volunteers. They are exposed to a vulnerable existence in the streets, without adult care, clean water or toilets, much less basic health care and medicine. It is not right that children have it this way. All children are entitled to a good start in life, with care and a safe shelter. I therefore founded the Mapungubwe Foundation Orphanage in order to build and run an orphanage, to give these homeless children a safe place to grow up. A place that will provide a proper upbringing, with enough to eat, clean water, health care, medicine, education and a bed of their own for each child,” he added. According to him, the Mapungubwe Foundation Orphanage is a long-term project with the goal to create a brighter life and future for the children.

In the first phase, they will construct and build the orphanage. The home will also house teachers, nurses and other staff who will stay with the children. He also mentioned that many of the families had problems with illness and disease, thus making the children socially and economically vulnerable. According to him, it is important that the children do not lose social contact. “The plan now is to build an orphanage with 20 beds for children with acute needs. Directly adjacent to the orphanage, we will build a daycare centre for those children who continue to live with families. When the house is built, we will run this operation and secure for each child a bed, nutritious food, clean drinking water, water toilets and washrooms, education, school books, help with homework and a school uniform. They will also get access to support people, a reading room, various activities, and health care.” Rahmqvist also mentioned that the project relies entirely on voluntary contributions. “Our goal is to invite and engage neighbours, private businesses, and state and local authorities to participate in the project. Our plan is to also involve teachers and nurses from abroad. We guarantee fully that each and every penny donated will go into the project for the benefit of the children. No administration costs will be paid. This is guaranteed by our system, in which no one can access the orphanage’s money.”

Hoërskool Eric Louw in Musina het op 1 Februarie gasheer gespeel vir die streek se jaarlikse kringbyeenkoms. Tydens hierdie geleentheid het verskeie Louwtjie-atlete nuwe rekords opgestel in hul onderskeie items. Afgeneem is, van links na regs, Carla Swanepoel (spiesgooi meisies O/14), Petronella Singo (spiesgooi meisies O/17) en Jannemari Fourie (gewigstoot meisies O/17). Foto verskaf.

Na afloop van Laerskool LouisTrichardt se huissport op 24 Januarie is die senior en junior atlete van die dag aangewys. Hulle is, van links na regs, Alida du Preez (senior meisie), Nsuku Baloyi (senior seun), Modjadji Sefole (junior meisie) en Dewald van Graan (junior seun). Die Groenspan het die atletiek gewen, gevolg deur die Rooispan, Geelspan en Blouspan. Die Geelspan het met die sangbeker weggestap.

Die CVO Skool Vivo het op Saterdag, 25 Januarie, ‘n prettige Bokkesportbyeenkoms gehad aan die voet van die Soutpansberge. Twee spanne, die Blesbokke en Rooibokke, het mekaar die stryd aangesê, maar dit was die Blesbokke wat geseëvier het. Die matrieks het ook die oudleerlinge, onderwysers en ouers uitgedaag om aflosspanne vir die pret in te skryf. Die dag se Victor en Victrix ludorums was voor, van links na regs, Wian Pretorius (O/10 tot O/13), Hanje Otto (O/10 tot O/13) en FC Smith (O/6 tot O/9). Soutpansberg Gholfklub Hierdie groep seunsatlete van Hoërskool Louis Trichardt het sowat veertig goue medaljes ingeoes tydens ‘n atletiekbyeenkoms wat op hul tuisveld op 22 Januarie aangebied is. Die deelnemende skole was Noorderland van Polokwane en Falcon College van Zimbabwe. Voor is die O/14’s en O/15’s, in die tweede ry is die O/16’s, in die derde ry die O/17’s, terwyl die O/19’s heel agter staan. Vier seunsaflosse het ook gewen. Hulle was die O/14’s, O/15’s, O/17’s en die O/19’s. Links: Hierdie m e is i e s a tl e t e v a n Hoërskool Louis Tri chardt het 48 goue medaljes ingep alm tydens ‘n atletiekby eenkoms teen Noorder land van Polokwane en Falc on College van Zimbabwe.
