THE POWER OF PRESENCE
Mary Kuznetsova in s an Francisco
In the heart of San Francisco, as the golden hour painted the city in its signature warmth, Mary Kuznetsova embodied effortless sophistication in an editorial shoot celebrating strength, style, and ambition. Dressed in a commanding black suit dress, draped in a classic camel coat, and crowned with a crisp white hat, she was a vision of modern femininity — one that balances power with grace.
With makeup by Tiffany Supthen and styling by Beauty Sutra by Shikha , every detail spoke to intentionality.
Statement jewelry glinted in the soft city light, a quiet reminder that bold choices — whether in fashion or in business — are what define a woman’s presence.
Captured through the lens of our co-founder and photographer Anna Kirschner, the shoot was more than just an ode to timeless fashion; it was a tribute to the resilience and confidence of women who command their space with elegance. As San Francisco’s cityscape provided a dynamic backdrop, Mary Kuznetsova stood as a testament to the power of individuality and self-expression.
In business and in style, the right presence can change everything. And this shoot was a masterclass in just that.
Interview with Laura Dunkin-Hubby
Power
For Laura, art is an act of intuition — one that unfolds in tandem with writing, self-discovery, and a touch of humor. Known for her imaginative storytelling and layered narratives, she weaves personal memories and art history into compelling visual worlds.
What inspires your creative process and how did you develop your artistic voice?
All of my work is guided by intuition, so I often don't know what I'm making or why I'm making it at the time: I'm just following a feeling. I use the writing process to understand what I've made and attempt to explain it to others. I learned early on in my art history classes that as an artist, I have much more power in being able to talk about my own work rather than allowing others to speak for me, which motivated me to start writing about my art in the first place. But as I've progressed as a writer, I find that both making my art and writing about my art go hand in hand as they both allow me to discover how I relate to the world. a global vision and develop my creativity in different fields while returning to my passion for illustration.
What themes or emotions do you find yourself returning to in your work?
I like to tell stories of women based on personal memories and bits and pieces of art history that I stitch together through some sort of comical narrative. My philosophy is that first and foremost, the work has to look interesting and second, it has to have at least one layer of meaning to uncover.
I build depth into my work via the imaginary worlds I create around my characters, which I touch on in my writing. In my "Frosted" series, I told a story of a group of jilted brides who decided to turn their wedding cakes into revenge accessories, which I presented in an email along with several digital portraits. Although I'm nominally done with the series, I chose to keep the story open ended so that I could return to it at any point and pick up where I left off.
As an artist, what have been some of the biggest challenges that you've faced and how have you overcome them?
The main challenge that I've faced is my own lack of belief in myself and my work. I am my own biggest obstacle, which has manifested itself as anxiety, perfectionism, and a reluctance to put my art out into the world. Over the years, I've learned that done is better than good and that most of the time, no one even notices the things I find problematic. For example, when I was teaching myself how to draw, I had a hard time drawing the bottom half of the face. I just couldn't get the proportions right, so I ended up placing objects in front of that part of the face until I figured out how to draw it. As far as I know, no one ever noticed!
What does a typical day in your studio look like? Do you have any rituals or habits that help you get into a creative flow?
I do most of my work on an ipad so my studio travels with me wherever I go. I actually started drawing on my lunch break, so I only had about 15-20 minutes to work at a time. The time limit helped me be more productive and less critical of my work. As a result, I usually set a timer for about 20-45 minutes whenever I draw because it forces me to focus on the task at hand. Even when I have more time, I prefer to limit myself as I think it helps me circumvent my inner critic.
What advice would you give to aspiring artists who want to build a sustainable and fulfilling career?
I think there is a tendency for artists to get discouraged when they put their work out there and don't immediately get a positive response. In the beginning, I expected instant gratification and overnight success, but I learned that everything of real value takes time to build. It's worth putting in the hours, weeks, and years of work in order to make something you're really proud of. Every time I decide to continue making things, despite what the world thinks of my work, my relationship with my art and myself as an artist gets that much stronger and it allows me the ability to be a little bit braver next time. I'd recommend doing the reps, i.e. continuing to make your art when no one wants it, in order to build that solid foundation between you and what you're making because that's where the real value lies.
Spring Routine
Hi, I’m Barbara from Olive&Oliva Natural Skincare, and from now on, I’ll be guiding you through the world of skincare routines, beauty products, and active ingredients. I deliberately won’t highlight any specific brand because I’m sure you already have some wonderful skincare treasures in your drawer. With this little guide, you’ll be able to seamlessly incorporate them into your daily ritual.
Spring is finally here — time to shake off the heaviness of winter and let your skin breathe again! As temperatures rise and humidity increases, your skin’s needs shift. A gentle, nourishing, and protective routine is essential to bring back that healthy, radiant glow. Let’s walk through a complete, personalized spring skincare routine featuring natural, skin-loving ingredients.
01 / CLEANSING
The Fresh Start: Begin your mornings and evenings with a gentle, plant-based cleanser. Look for ingredients like chamomile, calendula, or green tea — these soothe the skin while removing any dirt, excess oils, and environmental pollutants. A creamy, oil-based cleanser can also be fantastic to melt away makeup without leaving your skin feeling tight or dry.
Tip: For an extra refreshing start to the day, try a lukewarm water splash before cleansing — it wakes up both you and your skin!
02 / EXFOLIATION
Let Your Glow Shine Through: Your skin naturally sheds dead cells, but a little help speeds up the process. Once or twice a week, indulge in a gentle exfoliant. Natural fruit enzymes from papaya or pineapple softly dissolve dead cells, while finely milled rice powder or oatmeal provides a soothing, physical polish. This step helps reveal brighter skin, improves texture, and prepares your face to better absorb the next products.
Tip: Over-exfoliating can cause irritation — less is more! Stick to once a week if you have sensitive skin.
03 / TONING
The Refreshing Wake-Up Call: A hydrating, natural toner preps your skin for maximum absorption of serums and creams. Rose water provides hydration and soothes redness, while witch hazel balances oil production without drying out the skin. Cucumber extract is another spring favorite, helping calm and cool your complexion.
Tip: Keep your toner in the fridge for an extra cooling boost — especially lovely on warm spring mornings!
04 / HYDRATION
Quench Your Skin’s Thirst: Winter dryness may have left your skin parched. Now’s the time to rehydrate with a lightweight, nutrient-packed serum. Hyaluronic acid (from plant sources), aloe vera, or green tea extract deeply hydrate and plump the skin, while antioxidants fight off springtime environmental stressors. For an added glow, look for a serum enriched with vitamin C — it brightens and supports collagen production.
Tip: Gently press or tiptap the serum into your skin instead of rubbing — this improves absorption and feels like a mini facial massage.
05 / CLAY
MASK
Spring Detox for Your Skin: Once a week, treat your skin to a purifying clay mask. Green clay works wonders for oily or combination skin, absorbing excess oil and detoxifying pores. For dry or sensitive skin, try a gentler white or pink clay — they draw out impurities without leaving your face feeling tight or dry.
Tip: Add a few drops of light weight „dry oils” as argan, chamomil, jojoba or rosehip oil to the mask for an extra boost of nourishment.
06 / MOISTURIZER
Lock in That Freshness: Seal in all the goodness with a moisturizer suited for your spring skin. Lighter options, like jojoba or grapeseed oil-based creams, hydrate without clogging pores. If you’re prone to dryness, don’t worry — shea butter or avocado oil-based creams provide deeper moisture without heaviness.
Tip: Don’t forget your neck and décolletage — they need love too!
07 / SUN PROTECTION
Your Skin’s Best Friend: With longer, sunnier days, SPF is non-negotiable. EVERYDAY, all day. A natural, broad-spectrum sunscreen with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide shields your skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays. Even on cloudy days, UV rays sneak through — so make sun protection a daily habit.
Tip: Look for lightweight, non-comedogenic formulas that won’t feel greasy or clog pores.
Evening Care — A Nighttime Reset: Your skin does its best healing overnight. After cleansing and toning, switch to a richer, replenishing night cream or facial oil. Argan oil and rosehip oil are packed with vitamins and essential fatty acids that nourish and support your skin’s overnight regeneration.
Tip: Gently pat on a drop of facial oil as the last step to wake up with a dewy, glowing complexion.
Your Spring Skin Renewal Reminder: Spring is all about renewal — for your skin and your spirit. Pay attention to how your skin feels each day. If it needs more hydration, adjust your products. If you feel oily, go lighter. Your skin changes with the season, and your routine should adapt too.
Embrace the fresh, lively energy of spring, and let your natural glow shine!

FROM INNER BALANCE TO WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT
Dalila’s story is one of transformation — both geographic and deeply personal. From Bosnia to Denmark and later to Austria, her journey weaves together experiences of migration, identity, spirituality, and professional evolution. Today, she empowers women through counseling and coaching, integrating psychotherapeutic methods with a deep understanding of cultural and spiritual diversity. Her work is grounded in authenticity, justice, and self-awareness — and her voice is a compelling one in the global conversation on women’s empowerment.
Your life story and career are truly multifaceted. How would you introduce yourself in a few sentences?
My career has been shaped by diverse experiences across different fields, allowing me to blend artistry with strategy. Whether through my work, collaborations, or personal projects, I strive to inspire, connect, and bring unique ideas to life. At my core, I am always curious, always evolving, and always seeking new ways to make an impact and empower women — not by isolating themselves from everyone, but by developing the strength to rely on themselves when it matters most. Interview with Dalila Mešić Prof. BA
I would introduce myself as a passionate and dynamic individual with a deep love for creativity, innovation, and meaningful expression. I am deeply committed to justice and balance in everyday life, believing that everyone should have the freedom to pursue what makes them happy—without limiting or harming others.
What challenges did you face when you moved from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Denmark at the age of seven, and how did these experiences shape your personality?
Moving from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Denmark at the age of seven was a significant transition that came with many challenges. One of the biggest was adapting to a completely new language and culture while trying to find a sense of belonging. As a child, I had to quickly learn how to navigate between two worlds — holding onto my roots while integrating into a new society.
Anyone who has fled their country in the midst of war, not by choice but by necessity, knows how confusing it is — especially at such a young age. You’re not only lost in your own emotions but also witnessing your parents’ fear and uncertainty, feeling their struggles without fully understanding them, and yet having no control over anything. While moving to a new country can bring opportunities to learn and grow, it also comes with deep challenges and hardships that, in my opinion, no child should have to face.
This experience shaped my personality in many ways. It made me resilient, adaptable, and open-minded. I developed a strong sense of independence and learned to embrace change rather than fear it. It also deepened my appreciation for justice and balance, as I experienced firsthand how important it is for people to feel seen, heard, and accepted. Today, these values influence both my personal and professional life, as I strive to create spaces where people can express themselves freely without limiting or harming others.
What cultural differences did you encounter when moving from Denmark to Graz, and how did you adapt to your new environment?
Moving from Denmark to Graz highlighted some significant cultural differences, particularly in the integration of the Balkan community.
In Denmark, the majority of the youth I knew were educated at a university level or focused on building their careers. The non-educated youth were a very small minority. However, in Graz, I encountered many people from the Balkans who weren’t as integrated, with many working in unskilled jobs despite having been in Austria for a long time. This was a cultural shock for me.
What stood out the most was the missed opportunity to take advantage of Austria’s free education system. I was especially affected by seeing women who had the chance to pursue an education and build a career but didn’t take it. This deeply connects to my belief in empowering women. It’s difficult to empower someone when they’re stuck in unskilled work, especially when they had the chance to pursue more. I believe that for women to truly thrive, they need to break negative cycles, not just survive.
Of course, not everyone is in the same situation, and I’ve met many successful individuals. But the lack of engagement in educational opportunities by many Balkan women in Austria was striking, and it reminded me of the struggles their mothers faced. This reinforced my conviction that empowerment comes through education and personal growth.
How has your conversion to Islam eleven years ago influenced your life, and what impact has it had on your personal and professional relationships?
Before converting to Islam, I identified as an atheist, and I lived my life without any religious framework, which, in many ways, provided me with a sense of freedom. I felt unburdened by religious rules and had full control over my decisions, often guided by my own reasoning and personal beliefs. However, when I embraced Islam, it brought a shift in my perspective, and I found a sense of control I didn’t expect. It wasn’t something I actively sought, but rather, it came through deep conversations with people who practiced Islam.
I had once viewed them as limited by their faith, but through those discussions, I realized that my understanding had been incomplete and based on misconceptions.
This process led me to Islam, and it gave me a deeper sense of control over my life in a way that I had never experienced before. It wasn’t about restrictions; it was about finding guidance and balance. In Islam, I found a structure that allowed me to navigate life with more clarity, without feeling restricted, but rather empowered to live in a way that was more fulfilling and aligned with my values.
In terms of my professional life, Islam didn’t change how I approach work or relationships. It primarily influenced me on a personal level, giving me a deeper understanding of faith and discipline. I don’t view Islam as a culture, but as a spiritual path that helps me grow from the inside out. This transformation was not about following rigid cultural norms, but about internal growth and finding peace and stability through my faith.
What experiences led you to make women’s empowerment your mission, and how do you implement this in practice?
My goal in empowering women is to help them become leaders in their own lives, especially in a time when there’s a strong emphasis on self-focus and personal development. However, I don’t interpret this as promoting selfishness. Rather, it’s about encouraging women to shift the focus inward, to work on themselves, and to transform their weaknesses into strengths. It’s about using your virtues to benefit you and others, not working against yourself. By becoming more self-aware and understanding both our strengths and weaknesses, women can contribute positively to society and create a more balanced life.
This mindset is particularly important for women who are or plan to be mothers, as our role in shaping the next generation is crucial. A woman who is conscious of her own qualities and strives to improve them
will be better equipped to provide a healthy, balanced environment for herself and her children. She will not rely on the mercy of others, but instead, take control of her own life and decisions.
How do you integrate psychotherapeutic methods and Islamic psychology into your counseling work, especially when working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds?
In my counseling work, I focus on supporting clients at the level of the mind, heart, and soul, regardless of their cultural background. I believe that this holistic approach is the only path to true stabilization and healing. When working with clients who have experienced significant trauma, such as divorce, the loss of a family member, financial setbacks, or personal transformations, as well as many women struggling with low self-esteem or lack of confidence, I find that combining these three elements — mind, heart, and soul — is crucial.
My role as a counselor is not to take control of my clients’ journeys, but to guide them where they want to go. I help them explore different paths when they feel stuck, but ultimately, it is the client who decides which direction to take and how to reach their “aha” moment or the place where they feel at peace with themselves. I also use a solutions-oriented approach, which is grounded in positive psychology, to focus on the present and future. While I am a psychotherapist in training and do have that knowledge, I don’t delve deeply into past trauma; instead, I use what I’ve learned to help my clients focus on moving forward.
In my work, we briefly acknowledge what may have led the client to their current situation, but the main focus is always on the present and how to move toward the future. I do believe that some clients may need psychotherapy to work through deep emotional wounds, but I have found that my approach — focusing on the now and the future — has brought about many successful stories, not just for my clients, but for myself as well. Ultimately, my goal is to empower my clients, helping them gain the tools and mindset to create their own path to healing and success.
Service from the heart
How does a successful professional in the international hospitality industry become a community builder and advocate for the Montessori method? How can one rebuild their life in a completely new culture while motherhood reshapes their identity at its core?
Monsanto-Tögl’s story offers answers to these questions. With inspiring honesty, she shares her journey through the transformative power of becoming a mother, building community, and finding her true path.
What inspired you to shift your focus from a successful hospitality career to supporting mothers and early childhood education?
Motherhood changed everything for me — every decision, every priority, and for all the right reasons. I thrived in the hospitality industry, immersed in the world of service and luxury. But when I became a mother, a new reality set in. I wanted to be the best version of myself for my child, yet I found myself battling the reality of postpartum and deep loneliness in those early weeks.
That experience led me to create MuKiSpass, a space for young mothers to find meaningful connection and support. As I emerged from the postpartum slump, I realized how lost I felt in parenting and sought answers. That’s when I discovered the Montessori approach — at first, just for my own journey, but it was too powerful not to share.
Now, as I complete my Diplomlehrgang Kinderhaus with BEL Montessori in Vienna, I’m committed to supporting parents and helping them navigate the first 3 years with their little one with confidence. My passion has shifted, but the heart of it remains the same: serving others — this time, by empowering mothers like myself.
How did you end up in Graz, and what was it like for you to start over in a completely different culture, far from the Philippines? What challenges did you face, and how did you manage to integrate?
Love brought me to Graz. My husband is from here, and although we built our lives across Asia—Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok—he always dreamed of returning home. When COVID hit, it forced us to slow down from our fast-paced metropolitan lifestyle, ultimately leading us to settle in Graz.
Despite having lived in eight countries, this was by far the hardest transition. Arriving in the middle of winter, during a global pandemic, was a stark contrast to the tropical warmth I was used to. On top of that, the German language remains one of my biggest challenges.
Now, five years later, I’ve carved out my own space in this city. I’ve built a community, found a sense of belonging, and discovered my life’s purpose through MuKiSpass and MuKi-Monti. The journey wasn’t easy, but today, I can truly say — I am content and happy.
What exactly does MuKi-Monti do, and why do you believe it is important to make the Montessori method accessible to families?
MuKi-Monti is a sister-brand of MuKiSpass — and my third baby! First came my daughter, then MuKiSpass , and now MuKi-Monti , born from both my personal parenting journey and the needs of the mothers in my community.
At its core, MuKi-Monti empowers everyday parents to bring the Montessori method into their homes in a simple, practical, and fun way. The Montessori method isn’t just for schools — it’s a mindset that fosters mutual respect, meaningful connections, and a deeper understanding of our children.
Parents often hear about the “terrible twos,” but when my daughter reached that stage, I found myself enjoying her even more. Shifting my approach to align with the Montessori principles helped me to truly understand her needs and emotions — it all comes down to expectation management.
I want to share this joy and clarity with other parents. Motherhood is already challenging — why not make it more enjoyable while learning how to connect with and support our children in a way that truly works?
MuKiSpass has grown into a thriving community with hundreds of active members. What do you think makes this platform so appealing to women?
Founded in 2023 — when I was eight months postpartum — MuKiSpass has grown into a vibrant community with over 427 active members across Graz and Graz-Umgebung.
What makes our community so special is that we are all like-minded. We are today’s generation of mothers who embrace motherhood wholeheartedly while also prioritizing our own well-being. We understand that to be the happy, present mothers we aspire to be, we must also care for ourselves.
In just 1.5 years, we’ve hosted over 150 playdates and events, with our brunches and photoshoots being the most loved — understandably so!
But what I’m most proud of is seeing other moms thrive — whether it’s forming deep friendships with those who truly understand their journey or supporting fellow mompreneurs who are balancing business and baby. That’s next-level badassery right there!
You have extensive professional and public speaking experience in hospitality and customer experience. How do you apply this knowledge and skill set in leading MuKiSpass and MuKi-Monti?
My love for service and hosting has taken me from orchestrating grand hotel events with over 2,000 attendees against the Shanghai skyline to creating intimate mom gatherings in Stadtpark. While the scale has changed, the essence of service remains the same — fostering meaningful connections and creating memorable experiences.
With MuKi-Monti, I host workshops in my home, welcoming participants like friends. My goal is simple: to ensure every parent leaves feeling inspired and supported. It’s the same principle I lived by in hospitality—to make at least one person smile. Now, that mission continues, just in a different setting, with a new purpose.
MuKi-Monti aims to make the Montessori method accessible to families. What advice would you give to working mothers who want to incorporate this approach into their daily lives?
My biggest advice? Learn the why before the what. Many parents jump straight into what — What activities should I do? What toys should I buy? What routines should I follow? But before focusing on the what, it’s essential to understand why children behave the way they do. Why do they seek independence? Why do they prefer certain activities and repeat certain actions? Why do they insist on doing things themselves and in their own way? When we take the time to understand why, we naturally learn how to support them in ways that truly matter.
That’s exactly why I created my workshops—to help parents grasp the why first, so the what becomes clear and purposeful. When we know better, we do better. And most importantly, parenting becomes the joyful, fulfilling experience it’s meant to be!
How do you envision the future of MuKi-Monti, and what new programs or developments can we expect?
I won’t be modest here — I envision MuKi-Monti growing internationally, becoming a trusted brand for parents navigating the early years of their parenting journey. And when I mean internationally, not just the online resources – I mean the workshops, events and programs to reach all parts of the world.
At its core, MuKiSpass was created to support mothers’ social wellbeing, offering events and programs that foster connection and feel a sense of “belongingness”. That feeling of belonging is something many struggle to find, especially in the early stages of postpartum when we barely even feel like we even belong in our own bodies!
As a leader and community builder, what is the most valuable lesson you have learned through your ventures, and what advice would you give to other women looking to embark on a new professional journey?
"
The universe planted that dream in your head for a reason — it’s not meant to stay there.
Building on this mission, MuKi-Monti will continue to provide that same sense of support while integrating Montessori-inspired workshops and programs. The goal? To help parents enjoy and embrace their parenting journey, particularly in those critical first three years — the most formative stage of a child’s life. Exciting developments are ahead, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!
Chase it. Even if it means one hand is chasing a toddler and the other is reaching for your dream. Just go for it.
Back in Bangkok, where I used to live, there was a man on the streets with a whip (yes, I lived in that part of Bangkok). He would snap it and call out, “Pingpong show! Never try, never know!”— his way of convincing people to step inside. As ridiculous as it was, his words stuck with me. If you never try, you’ll never know. And if you fail? At least you tried.
But… what if it works out?
And finally — just be you. There is no one else in the world like you. Your thoughts, ideas, and perspective are uniquely yours. You bring something valuable to the table. You are worthy. You are enough. So, woman up — and go for it.
I met Jessi Grigg Coletti during a manifestation course, where she became my personal supporter and point of contact. From the very beginning, I felt her presence not only as a guide, but as a truly kind, open-hearted, and endlessly supportive soul. What struck me most was how genuinely she could celebrate with me
— dancing with joy when I shared my successes, no matter how big or small. That rare ability to hold space for others with love and enthusiasm is something I admire deeply in her. Naturally, I became curious about her story—how she came to live and lead in such alignment, and how she now supports others on their own transformative journeys.
Here is her story, in her own words.
On Creation, Manifestation and the Courage to Grow
You are a multifaceted individual: mother, wife, musician, mentor, among other roles. How would you summarize who Jessi Grigg Coletti truly is?
I am a creator. I am co-creating with God every day. This feels like a really bold statement, considering where I was a few years ago. For many years, I believed that I was not worthy to create. I went through 10 years of fertility treatments, and I was very angry. My sense of worthiness was very low. If you have been through it, you can understand the grief associated. Now, I always tell people I am a glorious creator. MAJOR shift in my concept of myself!
Before delving into manifestation, in which fields were you active, and how did your life unfold during that time?
I am a musician, and I went to college to study piano. After college, I taught private piano lessons and ran my own studio for about 15 years.
I also performed a lot in the community and wrote some music on the side. But I only charged for lessons. I never thought I was good enough to charge for anything else. I also have a network marketing business, where I ranked advanced nearly every year for five years. That’s when I hit my ceiling — my mental “thermostat” for how good I thought I was. During these years, I was also going through fertility treatments. There were many years of grief. I didn’t understand the grief, so I would criticize myself at my lowest points, which just made me feel worse.
How did you become acquainted with manifestation, and what inspired you to immerse yourself deeply in this subject?
I had always been intrigued by manifestation, ever since watching The Secret around 2008. I didn’t really understand it, but something deep inside of me wanted to believe in it. I’ve always loved personal development books and listening to inspiring coaches on YouTube.
But it wasn’t until I was growing my network marketing business that I really started to study deeply. I was making great progress—until I hit that invisible ceiling in my mind. Most of us, unknowingly, have a set point we believe we’re worthy to reach. And most of us can’t break through that without a mentor or a coach.
What changes has the practice of manifestation brought to your personal and professional life?
When I finally hired a coach and invested heavily in myself, so much changed. I let go of a lot of emotional baggage, cried a lot, dug deep into my worthiness issues, and healed. I grew in confidence and self-love, and became good at making decisions. My income doubled, I started another business, and found myself connected to three people who were publishing music and wanted me to collaborate with them. I also improved in my health and my relationships.
I discovered a love for acrylic painting and became an artist. A local store reached out to me and wanted to sell my art, and I’ve also done many commissioned pieces this past year.
Now, I wake up every day and wonder, “What am I going to create next?” I see endless possibilities. My life is so full and meaningful.
What motivated you to support others' development as a mentor, and how did this role come about?
As I grew in awareness, I began to see how magical life becomes when you let go of emotional baggage, resentment, and judgment. I started to feel a deep desire to help others do the same. I battled with this for about six months because I really loved my network marketing business and didn’t want to disappoint anyone.
Eventually, I realized I was so worried about the opinions of others that I wasn’t following my intuition. That meant I was limiting myself. So, I gathered the courage to tell my team and my upline, and I took a coaching certification. I still maintain my network marketing business and support my customers, but I don’t actively promote it anymore — and I love the residual income!
How do you balance your family life, musical career, and mentoring activities?
When people talk about balancing their life, I don’t agree with most of the advice or theories I hear. I really feel like balance is an inside job. When you’re thriving and growing, you feel a sense of balance. When you’re playing small and full of fear, you never will.
If my mind feels chaotic, my life will feel chaotic — no matter how much I tweak my schedule.
When I learned to love myself, stop criticizing myself, and fully trust God, I began to see balance in my life. When I start to feel off, I know I need to go inward. I need to let go of something, meditate, or spend time in nature.
When I’m calm on the inside, my life feels balanced.
How did your family, friends, and broader community react when you began focusing on manifestation and subsequently mentoring? To what extent do they believe in and support what you do?
My husband and family are very supportive, even if they don’t always resonate with what I do. I have friends who are supportive, and friends who don’t understand what I’m talking about when I speak of mindset or manifestation.
But it’s all good!
As I grew in awareness, some relationships naturally faded. Others I still enjoy, but I place boundaries on how much time I spend in them. Overall, I love making an impact, and many people have reached out to say that my journey has inspired them.
As a mentor, you are highly regarded among the Diamond Academy members, partly because you genuinely celebrate others' successes and are attentive and supportive. Is this inherent to your personality, or are these qualities you've developed through your work?
Both. I’ve always been a good cheerleader. But in the past, I sometimes felt threatened by others’ success. When I believed success was limited, someone else’s win meant less for me.
I’d wonder, “When will it be my turn? What’s wrong with me?”
Now, when I see others succeed, I celebrate with them. I see it as evidence that I can succeed too.
I still occasionally fall into doubt, but I’m getting better at staying in a high vibration. It’s like a muscle — it gets stronger every day.
Are there challenges in your current work, and if so, what are they, and how do you overcome them?
My biggest challenge is myself. Growth is uncomfortable, and we naturally want to stay in our comfort zones. Working with people often brings up deep issues within myself, which gives me an opportunity to release and heal. Now, when I notice resistance, doubt, or fear coming up, I celebrate. It means I’m growing and stepping into a new level of awareness.
What advice would you give to the readers of Women & Business Magazine?
Never stop growing! You are such an amazing example of this, Orsolya, and you inspire so many. The more we grow, challenge ourselves, and step out of our comfort zone, the more doors open. Opportunities, money, health, relationships — they’re all available to us. We just have to be willing to see them.
Anything else you would like to share with us? Thank you!
I set a goal last year to do 52 uncomfortable things — one each week. It took me a little over a year, but I learned so much. My social media following grew, and so many people were inspired by my posts. It taught me to lean into fear. That knot in your stomach? It usually means you’re on the right path.
I recommend this challenge to anyone who’s brave and ready to grow!
A Journey Across Continents Cultures and Screens
From Rome to London to San Francisco - your journey has taken you across some of the world’s most influential cities. How have these places shaped your personal style and approach to acting?
Each city I have lived in has had a profound influence on me and has shaped me in both subtle and impactful ways.
In Rome the deep rooted culture, 2000 years of human history, our passion for design, and the city's ancient and imposing architecture have left me with a strong sense of style and elegance. Something I strive to incorporate in my work. Our rich history has also shaped the way we interact and relate emotionally as a nation. The Italians' innate zest, passion for life and social interaction has left me with a level of spontaneity — especially when it comes to my emotional life — that I take with me in my acting and storytelling. That spontaneity and connection to my emotional life helps me bring depth and rawness to my characters.
London has been the first city I lived in by myself after graduating from high school back in Rome. My first experience living in a household with different cultures, broadened my view of cultural and social standards and was paramount to my understanding of developing characters.
Being exposed to different ways of being and doing, the city's mix of modernity and tradition, pushed me to expand my versatility as an actor. London's theater scene, known for its innovative approaches to stagecraft, made me think critically about every role, and every performance. It also deepened my understanding of the importance of nuance in both dialogue and character portrayal.
Whilst in San Francisco, the city of innovation and technology, helped me think outside the box and find parts and resources inside myself I didn't know I had. The diverse, tech-driven culture here has encouraged me to embrace change as scary as change can sometimes be. San Francisco has encouraged me to break down barriers in my acting and to experiment with new formats and creative methods, whether through virtual reality or immersive theater. It has helped me see acting not only as a craft but as a constantly evolving medium — one that blends tradition with technology.
All these cities and my journey as human have shaped me and formed me in ways I didn't know were possible. Ultimately acting and storytelling is about our human experience. What I cherish and bring with me through my life journey influenced my personal style by teaching me to mix the classic with the contemporary, and to embrace both structure and spontaneity.
Balancing motherhood with a demanding career in acting and producing is no small feat. What strategies or mindset shifts have helped you navigate this dual role?
Woof! Balancing motherhood and career, especially in the entertainment business, is one that requires a lot of planning, organization and patience. It is definitely challenging and yet fulfilling.
For me, keeping in mind what is important and prioritizing has helped me move forward, with harmony and acceptance rather than being focused on results, I try to enjoy the journey.
One of the key strategies has been prioritization and radical acceptance. I’ve learned that I can’t do everything at once and at the pace that I would like, and that’s okay. Prioritizing helps me manage my energy, fundamental to a balanced life. Otherwise I end up feeling like a Ferrari in 5th gear, and other times at the pace of a Fiat 500 riding up one of those stip San Francisco hills. What I mean is that, there are times when my career takes center stage, and other times when my family is my primary focus. But having a clear sense of what needs my attention - learning to say no, and understanding my limits - at any given moment helps me stay grounded and effective in both roles. I also try to be realistic about what I can and cannot take on board, and understand that I can’t always be perfect at everything — I just need to give my best in every situation, and that’s enough.
Delegation is also paramount and a crucial aspect of balancing career and personal life. Community, belonging, dancing and surrounding myself with like minded people is fundamental to having a fulfilling life and making things happen. I’ve learned not to hesitate in asking for help when I need it. It’s important to recognize that no one can succeed in isolation, and sharing responsibilities not only lightens the load but also strengthens the quality of my work, my family life and relationships - whether professional or personal, and creates a sense of belonging, a sense that we are all in this journey together.
Ultimately both roles feed into each other. Motherhood has made me more empathetic, strong and clear with what values I want to share with my children. As well as what example I want to be for them, given that children learn from what we do and not what we say. Whereas pursuing my career in show business has allowed me to be the role model for my children, showing them that it’s possible to follow your passions while nurturing the people you love." In fact I think motherhood and career go hand in hand.
You have been recognized as a style icon. How does fashion play a role in your self-expression, both on and off the screen?
Fashion, for me, is one of the most powerful forms of self-expression. I like to feel good in the clothes I wear. It’s of course about the way we present ourselves to the world, so external. Though, it goes deeper than that. At its foundation lies the fundamental need for belonging – the desire to be part of a community, to connect, and to feel accepted. Whether on or off the screen, the clothes I wear are an extension of my personality and my mood.
When it comes to ‘on screen’, clothing helps me develop, find and be the character I am portraying. It develops and communicates a deeper narrative. Who is she? What is the historical period she is in? What was the gender role of that time? How did she express her inner world, what is her emotional life and relationship to sexuality? It's about how the wardrobe reflects the essence of the role I’m playing. Helping me transform into someone entirely different. Fashion becomes a tool to embody that character fully and authentically.
Ultimately fashion is a tool that allows me to communicate my inner world to the outer one. Bringing out my own individuality and sense of dignity.
The entertainment industry is notoriously challenging, especially for women who wear different hats. What advice would you give to aspiring actors and producers trying to break into the industry?
The entertainment industry is indeed notoriously challenging, especially for women who wear different hats. And it’s also extremely rewarding when approached with resilience, determination and passion. I find the entertainment industry to be electric, dynamic and filled with passionate and creative people. It’s worth the game! My advice to aspiring actors and producers focuses on a few elements that are helping me navigate this industry to this day.
Follow your instinct and stay true to yourself. Comparing my work to others is ‘lethal’ as far as I am concerned. Being inspired by other producers and actor’s work has always helped me find and or explore parts of myself. Which in turns sets you apart. Taking risks and choosing the uncomfortable path has always helped me move forward, both personally and professionally. The more you honor your true self, the more successful you’ll be, because people can sense when something is real.
Learning and committing to the craft of both acting and producing demand attention, dedication and patience. Studying different acting techniques, analyzing scripts, and learning the in and outs of producing, make sure to continuously improve. Attend workshops, read scripts, collaborate with people who inspire you, and most importantly, be open to feedback. The more you invest in your development, the more confident you'll feel in your abilities.
The entertainment industry can be challenging. Creating a support system of like minded people is fundamental. People who lift you up and bring the best in you, and of course vice versa.
Finding mentors who are where you want to be, as well as believing in yourself will allow you to carve and see your path and get where you want to be. Competing will take you nowhere. However collaborating, not only is more fun, it will also take you far in your professional and personal journey, allowing you to learn and grow.
Developing a thick skin and being able to deal with rejection will be a crucial part of the process. Rejection is a tough one for me. It has always helped me to see the bigger picture and understand that it is not about my abilities, it’s about what fits the project. The industry can be incredibly demanding, and when you're juggling multiple roles as an actor, producer, or both, it's easy to burn out. Self care, time to recharge and cultivating what is important to you is paramount. In my experience this is a journey that takes time. Trust the process and know that your time will come.
Ultimately love and be passionate about what you do.
With your international background and growing presence in Hollywood, what kind of stories do you feel most passionate about bringing to life?
My international background exposed me to many different cultures, realities and the richness and complexity of our human experience. That has definitely shaped the kind of stories I want to tell and the characters I want to portrait.
I like to portray stories that explore belonging, identity and our challenges as humans growing in families and cultures that shape us in ways where we try to adapt to societal standards. Learn to behave in ways that we perceive as acceptable. Whether it’s through the lens of culture, gender, or personal struggles, I believe stories about people navigating who they are in a world that often tries to define them are incredibly powerful.
I’ve experienced the challenges of finding my own place in multiple worlds — balancing different cultural expectations, career aspirations, and personal dreams — and those are the kinds of stories I’m excited to tell. I want to bring characters to life who are authentic, layered, and full of contradictions. Stories that explore what it means to truly belong to yourself, rather than fitting into a mold that others have created.
I also like playing roles that explore diversity, aging, and gender roles. Although I believe Hollywood is moving away from old patterns, especially when it comes to gender. I think there is still a long way to go when it comes to inclusivity. I want to be part of telling stories that not only reflect a variety of cultural backgrounds but also break away from stereotypes. I’m excited about creating roles and projects that allow people from all walks of life to see themselves reflected on screen in ways that feel authentic and empowering.

Dr. Orsi Szabo
Co-Founder of Women & Business Magazine
Co-Organizer of Women & Business Day
meet the speaker: TIMEA PIROSKA
Psychologist, PCC Coach & Founder of New Life Lab
Timea Piroska is a psychologist, certified coach (PCC), author, and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in adult learning and development. As a mother of three and the founder of three different ventures — including a coaching and education company, a publishing house, and the New Life Lab online community — Timea understands what it means to balance ambition, insight, and real-life complexity.
Her mission is to help professionals, especially women, break
free from the limitations of impostor syndrome and reclaim their self-worth. With her book "50 Exercises to Overcome Impostor Syndrome", she translates research into practical tools and creates safe, supportive spaces where growth becomes sustainable.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
I'm a psychologist and coach (PCC) with a particular focus on impostor syndrome. I'm the author of "50 Exercises to Overcome Impostor Syndrome" and the founder of an online community called New Life Lab where we help people recognize and address their impostor feelings.
My work combines research-based approaches with practical techniques that people can immediately apply in their daily lives. I also run an adult education company offering coach-training and other learning and development programs and a publishing house with specialized books for the L&D market.
What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
My talk will explore the hidden mechanisms of impostor syndrome and provide practical strategies for overcoming it, especially in professional settings.
This topic is deeply important to me because I've witnessed how impostor syndrome can silently limit talented individuals' potential and happiness. Despite achievements and external validation, many people—particularly women— struggle with persistent feelings of being frauds who will eventually be "found out." By addressing this phenomenon openly, we can break its power and help people embrace their authentic capabilities.
What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
I was motivated to join Women & Business Day because impostor syndrome disproportionately affects women in business and leadership roles.
Research shows that women are more likely to attribute their success to external factors like luck rather than their own abilities. This conference provides an ideal platform to address this issue with an audience that can benefit tremendously from these insights while also connecting with other professionals who share my commitment to supporting women's advancement in business.
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
A strong, supportive community serves as a powerful antidote to impostor syndrome.
When women share their experiences and vulnerabilities in a safe environment, they realize they're not alone in their feelings of self-doubt. Communities provide validation, perspective, and counterevidence to negative self-beliefs. They also offer practical guidance, mentorship, and real examples of success that challenge the inner critic.
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
I believe the most important area for women to focus on is developing self-trust and internal validation.
Many women have been socially conditioned to seek external approval and validation, which feeds impostor syndrome. Learning to recognize and trust your own achievements, skills, and judgment is transformative.
This doesn't mean working in isolation — quite the opposite. It means building the confidence to share ideas, set boundaries, take calculated risks, and accept both success and failure as natural parts of growth. When women develop this core of self-trust, other aspects of professional development become more accessible and sustainable.
Which speaker or session are you most excited about at Women & Business Day, and why?
I'm especially excited about two sessions that resonate deeply with both my personal interests and professional focus.
“The Power of Communities – How Networking Leads to Success” promises valuable insights from Debbie Adams, Sara Crockett, and Rachel Fox on the role of connection and collaboration in achieving our goals — something I strongly believe in, both as a psychologist and as part of international projects.
I'm also very curious about “How to Build Your Professional Self Brand – with the Help of AI” by Dr. Orsi Szabo. I'm eager to learn how AI tools can support authentic personal branding in a meaningful and ethical way.

What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
I will talk Rebooting Success: Building Life & Business Anywhere.
Success isn’t about where you are — it’s about how you show up and take action. In a constantly evolving world, women have the power to redefine their careers and businesses by embracing change, overcoming fear, and building strong networks. Whether starting over in a new city or pivoting in an industry, reinvention is not just possible — it’s essential.
By leveraging digital tools, personal branding, and a resilient mindset, women can create thriving, location-independent businesses and careers. The key is to stay adaptable, trust in your abilities, and seize opportunities wherever they arise.
What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
Women & Business Day is more than just an event — it’s a movement.
It’s a space where ambitious women come together to share stories, uplift one another, and exchange valuable insights. Being part of this event means stepping into a community that understands the challenges of reinvention and celebrates the power of resilience.
Whether you’re launching a new business, pivoting your career, or seeking fresh inspiration, this day is about discovering new possibilities and leaving with the motivation to take action
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
Success is rarely a solo journey — especially for women navigating careers and entrepreneurship. A strong, supportive community provides more than just networking; it fosters growth, confidence, and opportunity. Surrounded by like-minded women, professionals gain access to mentorship, collaboration, and shared knowledge. Encouragement from a trusted network helps them take bold steps, overcome challenges, and turn ideas into thriving businesses. Beyond professional gains, these communities offer emotional support, work-life balance strategies, and visibility in competitive industries.
When women uplift each other, they don’t just grow individually — they create a ripple effect of empowerment, shaping industries and inspiring future generations. Together, they rise.
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
As women, we often juggle multiple roles—entrepreneurs, professionals, mothers, daughters, friends. In the midst of it all, we sometimes forget the most important investment we can make: in ourselves.
The one area I believe every woman should focus on is selfconfidence.
Skills can be learned, opportunities can be created, but without believing in yourself, it’s easy to hesitate, to shrink, to say “maybe I’m not ready.”
Confidence isn’t just about speaking up in meetings or negotiating better deals. It’s about trusting your instincts, setting boundaries, and knowing that you are capable—even when the path is uncertain. It’s about having the courage to fail, learn, and keep moving forward.
So, to every woman out there: work on your mindset as much as your business. Surround yourself with people who uplift you. Never stop learning, growing, and taking up space. Because when you believe in yourself, the world starts believing in you too.

meet the speaker: ALEXANDRA MOKHAN
Content Creator, Branding Photographer & Founder of Alex Mokhan Studio
With a rich background in philology, visual arts, and entrepreneurship, Alexandra Mokhan brings storytelling to life — whether through words, images, or human connection. In 2022, after relocating to Austria from Ukraine with her two children, Alexandra rebuilt her life and career from the ground up. She now leads her own advertising and photography studio, specializing in business portraits and personal branding that capture the essence of individuality.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
My name is Alexandra Mokhan, and I'm a content creator with a deep love for storytelling. In 2022, I embarked on a new chapter by moving to Austria with my two kids amid the challenges of the war in Ukraine. At university, I studied English and German philology, a journey that enriched my passion for language and laid the groundwork for my career in content writing.
Here in Austria, I further embraced my love for visual art by studying graphic design and photography, which sparked my creative spirit. This path led me to launch my own advertising agency and photography business, where I focus on business portraits and personal branding — dedicated to revealing the unique inner beauty and true spirit of every individual.
What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
At the conference, I'll share my personal journey of starting over in a foreign country — building my life and business from scratch in Austria.
My talk is not about having unique superpowers or a flawless success story; it’s an honest look at my challenges, including confronting inner fears and vulnerabilities, and the small, courageous steps I took to create a stable life.
This topic is important to me because it reflects the reality many of us experience: the courage to move forward, even when the path isn’t perfect.
What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
I joined the community initiated by Women and Business Magazine because I felt immediately embraced by a circle of inspiring female expats who were all striving to find their place in Austria's labor scene.
These monthly meetings with powerful women have shown me that every story matters. Sharing our challenges and victories makes us feel less alone and more valued, even on days when progress seems slow.
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
A strong, supportive community provides the emotional security that’s essential for growth. In our circle, empathy and genuine curiosity allow us to share not only our successes but also our vulnerabilities. This safe space encourages us to explore new ideas and perspectives, knowing that every challenge is met with understanding and support.
When women help each other, we create a network of care and collaboration — one where the exchange of ideas leads to innovation and where each step forward is celebrated. Ultimately, this nurturing environment empowers us to overcome obstacles, build confidence, and grow both in our careers and businesses.
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
Her work reflects resilience, authenticity, and a deep belief in the power of personal transformation — especially when paired with creativity and community.

I believe balance is key — even if that sounds a bit clichéd. It's important to first understand and honor how you feel about your life and what truly drives you, as we often navigate our paths influenced by past traumas. Learning to truly listen to yourself can empower you to make clear decisions and develop workable plans despite the fears and doubts that may arise.
At the same time, it is equally essential to ground yourself in the practical side of the labor market—knowing the rules and intricacies of your field. Understanding your industry deeply helps you connect with the right people and build a successful business or career.

You’ll hear more from her during the panel discussion “Rebooting Success: Building Life & Business Anywhere,” alongside Mag. Andrea Vujošević and Julia Resnicek.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
By training, I'm a Certified Health Coach, Hypnotherapist, and founder of Revival Health GmbH, dedicated to empowering others to live happier and healthier lives. As an adventurer and explorer, I've traveled all seven continents, summited Mount Kilimanjaro, frequently hike with my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Boris, and acquired a passion for art, design, and joyful living along the way. My mission: helping others reform, elevate, and transform their stories and lives.
What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
My talk will focus on The Power of the Mind. We are constantly manifesting our reality, whether we like it or not. My talk will help you to understand why you keep falling back into bad habits, what to pay attention to if your life and business aren’t as you wish, and how to harness the power of the mind to get you to where you want to be. This topic has been at the forefront of my own healing journey, so I'm excited to share what I have learned with others.
What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
I'm friends with Orsi Szabó, the incredible Co-founder of Women & Business Magazine, and am constantly inspired by her story, efforts, and accomplishments. It's such a privilege to be part of and support her in one of her exciting endeavours! I'm also excited to meet and learn from other inspirational women and hope to add value to the group through my own talk at the conference.
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
We are stronger together. It's as simple as that. When like-minded individuals can come together in mutual support, everybody wins.
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
Self-awareness. This is what I have learned over the past five years of my own healing journey. When we are able to look inwards, to focus on our inner world as opposed to our outer world, we can reclaim our power and begin to embrace our potential.
Being able to objectively look at our subjective selves is a skill and a habit, but arguably the most important one we can ever develop. In honing our self-awareness, we empower ourselves to be guided by our innate wisdom, to respond versus react to situations, and to move through life with faith in ourselves.

What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
At the conference, I will be speaking on “Unlock Your Inner GPS: Master Intuition to Elevate Your Business for Extraordinary Success.”
Does this sound familiar? You’re facing a big decision — choosing the right business partner, making a major investment, or scaling your company. There are countless options, and while your mind analyzes every detail, deep inside, there’s a voice trying to guide you. But how do you know if it’s intuition — or just fear and doubt?
In my keynote, I will share how my sixth sense has guided me through 18 years of entrepreneurship, helping me make the right decisions, navigate challenges, and build a thriving business. What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
I am deeply passionate about supporting people in their growth—both personally and professionally. Helping others unlock their potential, step into their power, and create a healthier, more fulfilled life is not just my passion; it is my life’s mission.
Women & Business Day is a space where ambitious women come together to exchange ideas, inspire one another, and grow collectively. Being part of this event allows me to contribute to this powerful movement, share my insights, and empower women to trust themselves, make bold decisions, and lead with confidence.
I truly believe that when we support each other, we rise together — and that’s why I am honored to be part of this incredible event!
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
I truly believe that a strong, supportive community is one of the most powerful success factors for women in business. When we lift each other up, share our experiences, and exchange ideas, we create an environment where growth becomes limitless.
Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, I have experienced firsthand how essential it is to have a network of like-minded, driven women. Encouragement, honest feedback, and the right role models can make all the difference —especially when navigating challenges or stepping into new opportunities.
A strong community gives women the confidence to trust their intuition, make bold decisions, and take action without fear of failure. It fosters collaboration instead of competition, helping us move forward faster and with greater impact.
I am passionate about creating and being part of such empowering networks because I know that when women support women, extraordinary things happen!
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
Honestly? The most important area for women to invest in is their body and health.
For every woman — especially entrepreneurs and business leaders — the body is our greatest asset. Our physical and mental performance are deeply interconnected, and success in business is directly linked to our energy levels, resilience, and overall well-being.
Many women focus on developing their skills, expanding their network, or refining their strategies but neglect the very foundation that makes high performance possible: their health. A strong, fit body fuels a strong, focused mind. It enhances mental clarity, decision-making, and endurance — key factors for success in any field.
Entrepreneurship demands stamina, creativity, and the ability to handle pressure. Without a healthy body, energy, and vitality, even the best strategies won’t lead to sustainable success. That’s why I believe that every woman should prioritize fitness, movement, and selfcare—not as an afterthought but as a non-negotiable part of her success strategy.
Because when we take care of our bodies, we unlock our full potential—not just in business but in every aspect of life.
Which speaker or session are you most excited about at Women & Business Day, and why?
The Power of Habits (Veronica Weedon).
I believe that success is built on strong habits and the right connections. As Veronica Weedon highlights in The Power of Habits, our environment, the people we surround ourselves with, and the routines we create shape our success more than anything else. That’s why I love to connect, exchange ideas, and grow together with ambitious, like-minded people.

meet the speaker: LUISE WALTHER
Neurocentric Performance Expert & Founder of Brain-Based Business Training
Luise Walther is redefining what high performance means in the modern business world. With a background in functional neurology and movement science, she teaches individuals and organizations how to train the brain first — because true resilience, focus, and impact all begin with the nervous system. Through 1:1 coaching, books, and international speaking engagements, Luise helps people unlock their potential by aligning success with biology.
As an advocate for sustainable energy and mental clarity, Luise empowers entrepreneurs — especially women — to lead with strength, purpose, and longevity.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
I am Luise Walther, an expert in neurocentric training and a strong advocate for a new way of thinking about performance, resilience, and well-being. With a background in functional neurology and movement science, I help individuals and businesses optimize their mental and physical potential by training the brain first. Over the years, I have worked with thousands of clients, empowering them to improve focus, productivity, and longevity through neuroscience-based training methods. My work spans from 1:1 coaching to speaking engagements and authoring books, all with the aim of unlocking untapped potential by understanding and training the nervous system.
What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
My talk, "The Conscious Entrepreneur: Freedom, Impact & Success on Your Own Terms," is about redefining success by leveraging neurocentric strategies to create a high-performance mindset, sustainable energy, and true resilience. Entrepreneurs and leaders often chase success by pushing harder, but true impact and freedom come when we train smarter, not harder. Our brain and nervous system control everything—our ability to stay focused, make decisions, handle stress, and maintain physical and mental well-being.
Understanding how to train the brain for clarity, energy, and adaptability allows entrepreneurs to break free from burnout, sharpen their focus, and create a business that aligns with their purpose—without sacrificing their health. This topic is deeply personal to me because I have seen how neurocentric training can transform not only performance but also quality of life. It’s time to stop working against our biology and start using it to our advantage.
What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
Women bring unique strengths to the business world, but many struggle with energy management, stress, and self-doubt while trying to meet high expectations. I want to share science-backed, practical strategies that help women take control of their success without compromising their well-being.
For me, it’s not just about achieving more but about creating impact with clarity, confidence, and longevity. Women should feel strong, empowered, and entirely in charge of their energy and focus—and that’s what neurocentric training can offer. I’m honored to be part of a space where women can grow, inspire, and uplift each other while reshaping what success truly looks like.
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
Success isn’t just about skills and strategy—it’s about having the right support system. A strong community helps women by offering:
• Confidence & Resilience – Seeing others overcome challenges empowers us to push forward.
• Collaboration over Competition – Success multiplies when we lift each other up.
• Authenticity & Freedom – Spaces where women can be real, share doubts, and celebrate wins make success more fulfilling.
Entrepreneurship can feel lonely, but in the right community, we don’t just survive — we thrive.
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
One word: Energy.
Most women focus on productivity, strategy, and skills, but your energy is your greatest asset. When your nervous system is overloaded, creativity, focus, and resilience suffer. Instead of just managing time, we must learn to manage our energy.
Women who understand how to regulate their nervous system— through breath, movement, vision training, and brain-based exercises— will have the clarity, endurance, and confidence to lead, grow, and create real impact. Success is not about pushing harder. It’s about mastering your energy so that you can show up fully—every day.
Which speaker or session are you most excited about at Women & Business Day, and why?
I am excited about all the sessions that challenge outdated ideas of success and leadership. I’m especially interested in conversations about mindset, well-being, and redefining work-life balance in a way that aligns with human biology—not against it.
Any session that helps women build their inner strength, mental clarity, and personal freedom is something I want to be part of!
Where can attendees connect with you or follow your work?
You’ll hear more from her during the session “The Conscious Entrepreneur: Freedom, Impact & Success on Your Own Terms,” part of the Business Growth, Marketing & Sales Strategies block.

What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
Create the world you wish to live in – we can change the world and have a fairer, more just world.
What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
Orsi asked me, and it was a great opportunity to connect and get visibility.
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
Support, mentoring, buying power – economic power as a collective.
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
I believe the most important area for women to focus on is taking action. Too often, we wait for the perfect moment, the perfect plan, or the perfect level of confidence before we begin. But growth doesn't happen in theory—it happens through doing. Taking action, even small steps, creates momentum. It helps us learn, adapt, and build resilience.
Whether it's starting a new project, reaching out to a mentor, or speaking up in a meeting, every action matters.
Which speaker or session are you most excited about at Women & Business Day, and why?
I'm genuinely looking forward to discovering all the speakers and sessions. The program offers such a diverse range of perspectives and topics, and I’m excited to be surprised and inspired throughout the day.

meet the speaker: VERONIKA WOLF
CEO of Club International (CINT)
Navigating a new country, culture, and career all at once requires remarkable resilience— and that’s exactly what Veronika Wolf has made her mission to support. As the CEO of Club International (CINT), she helps international professionals and their families find their footing, build community, and flourish in Styria. With a background that bridges industry and academia, Veronika brings a deep understanding of global mobility and leadership, and a passion for creating inclusive environments where diverse talent can thrive.
At Women & Business Day, she’s raising awareness of the often unseen challenges faced by women with international backgrounds—and why unlocking their potential is a key to innovation, equity, and progress.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
I’m Veronika Wolf, CEO of Club International (CINT), an organization dedicated to supporting international key employees and their families as they settle into life and work in Styria. Together with my team, we strive to create an environment where global talents feel welcome, connected, and empowered to thrive — both professionally and personally. With a strong international background in both academia and industry, I’ve always been passionate about cross-cultural exchange, expatriate management, and leadership development. I also enjoy teaching and facilitating workshops on these topics at universities and within the corporate sector.
What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
My talk will focus on the challenges and opportunities for women with international backgrounds in the workplace and broader society. While progress has been made, women still face structural and cultural barriers in their careers. When those women are also navigating life in a new country, these challenges are often magnified. From rebuilding networks to validating qualifications in a new system, the journey can be daunting. By addressing these realities and promoting inclusion and visibility, we can unlock an incredible wealth of talent and innovation. I look forward to sharing how CINT contributes to making Styria a more inclusive, international place to live and work.
What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
Female leaders remain underrepresented across many sectors, and systemic challenges continue to hinder women's full participation and advancement — especially those with international backgrounds. Women & Business Day is a powerful platform to shed light on these issues, exchange knowledge and lived experiences, and build networks that create meaningful support. I believe that connecting across industries and cultures is key to shaping a more equitable future.
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
Supportive communities open doors to opportunities, mentorship, and guidance that can be otherwise hard to access. They offer safe spaces to exchange ideas, gain confidence, and grow both personally and professionally. Through knowledge sharing and collective wisdom, women can accelerate each other’s journeys. Most importantly, when women support women, we not only lift each other up—we challenge the system and create lasting impact.
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
For me, there are five essential areas: confidence, relationship building, emotional intelligence, resilience, and work-life-family balance. Believing in yourself, speaking up, and seizing opportunities are vital to career advancement. Building strong, authentic relationships can open unexpected doors. Emotional intelligence helps us navigate complex environments, while resilience empowers us to move forward through adversity. And mastering balance — setting boundaries and prioritizing what matters — is a skill that makes sustainable success possible.
Which speaker or session are you most excited about at Women & Business Day, and why?
Every speaker and session brings something valuable to the table, which makes the entire event so rich. For me, the real highlight lies in the networking moments, the shared energy, and the conversations that spark new ideas and connections. I’m excited to meet inspiring women from different fields and learn from their stories and perspectives.
Where can attendees connect with you or follow your work?
You’ll hear more from her during the panel “Beyond Borders: Navigating Career & Business as an Expat Woman,” alongside Aliya Gadirova and Miglena Hofer.
meet the speaker: SARA CROCKETT
Science Communication Specialist, Founder of Sara’s Science
Sara Crockett is a science communication expert with a rare combination of analytical precision and community-centered leadership. As the founder of Sara’s Science, she helps scientists express complex ideas with clarity and impact. But beyond her one-woman business, Sara has played a vital role in supporting women in Graz — most notably as a former President of the International Women’s Association of Graz (IWA). With deep experience in cross-cultural engagement, advocacy, and strategic networking, Sara brings a wealth of insight on the power of community. Her talk will explore how supportive networks empower women mentally, emotionally, and professionally — and why building inclusive spaces is more important than ever. We can all learn from her how connection, collaboration, and communication drive real change.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
As a one-person business owner (Sara's Science), I provide specialized science communication services. My strong background in the sciences enables me to help scientists in many different research fields communicate clearly and effectively in English with diverse stakeholder audiences, including members of the public, industry representatives, and other scientists. These services are customized according to the customers' needs, ranging from English proofreading and copy editing or German to English translation of texts to one-on-one coaching for scientists who would like to improve their presentation or academic writing skills. I also offer tailored Academic English workshops for groups. My workshops on scientific paper writing, proposal writing, and presenting are especially popular. Many of my clients work at higher education institutions (HEIs), but I also attract clients from startups, small- and medium-sized companies, as well as private and government institutions and NGOs.
Outside of work, however, I have strong interests in supporting human rights and women's empowerment. For this reason, I volunteer my time in several local organizations in Graz, including the International Women's Association of Graz, Migrants' Advisory Council (Migrant:innenbeirat Graz), and the Austro-American Society for Styria. In key positions in these organizations, I use my expertise in networking and communication to raise awareness for important initiatives and movements that promote intercultural respect, women's equality, human rights (especially of third-country citizens living in Graz), and financial literacy. My personal interest in the latter point also explains my strong interest in supporting female entrepreneurship.
What will your talk at the conference be about, and what makes this topic important to you?
At the conference, I will discuss how important supportive networks like the International Women's Association of Graz are. By organizing events that bring together English-speaking women, the IWA promotes crosscultural respect and provides friendship and support. The aim of these events is to empower our members, helping them increase their mental, emotional, and physical resilience. This topic is incredibly important to me, as I have experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to feel empowered as a woman living in a foreign culture and have seen how much my involvement in the IWA has helped me increase my own resilience.
What motivated you to be part of Women & Business Day?
My wish to support other female entrepreneurs and strong women in our community.
How do you think a strong, supportive community can help women grow in their careers and businesses?
1. Create a solid business concept or career plan (with help from local organizations).
2. Don't be afraid to try something new.
3. Tell everyone you know about your business and services or career goals.
4. Network, network, network – and support the advancement of the people you network with as well!
5. Just go for it.
As a successful entrepreneur or professional, what do you believe is the most important area for women to focus on in their development?
Self-knowledge and financial literacy.
Which speaker or session are you most excited about at Women & Business Day, and why?
I am looking forward to hearing all speakers, but am highly interested in the Business & Marketing block since I would like to learn even more strategies that will help me to build and expand my brand.

HOW TO BUILD A POWERFUL PROFESSIONAL BRAND WITH AI
AI-MARKETER, FOUNDER OF ZSOLYA COMMUNICATION, CO-FOUNDER OF WOMEN & BUSINESS
In today’s digital world, personal branding is no longer optional — it’s a necessity. A strong professional brand helps you stand out, establish credibility, and open doors to new opportunities. But how do you build and maintain a consistent and impactful brand while juggling a busy career? The answer lies in AI-powered tools that make the process faster, smarter, and more effective.
THE ROLE OF AI IN PERSONAL BRANDING
Artificial intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept; it’s a practical tool that supports content creation, refines communication, and enhances networking efforts. AI-driven solutions allow professionals to strategically and efficiently build their brands, saving time and resources.
However, the key question is not whether to use AI but how to leverage it effectively while maintaining authenticity. Here’s how AI can help you strengthen your professional personal brand.
DR. ORSI SZABO
MAGAZINE
1. DEFINING AND REFINING YOUR BRAND IDENTITY
Before you start building your personal brand, you need clarity. AI tools can analyze your online presence, industry trends, and audience perceptions to help fine-tune your messaging.
Platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini can generate personal brand statements based on your expertise, while SEO tools like Ahrefs and Semrush identify the best keywords to position yourself effectively.
It’s also important to ask yourself: If someone googled my name today, what impression would I want them to have? AI-powered search analysis tools can help you understand how you’re currently perceived and suggest ways to align your online presence with your brand vision.
2. AI-POWERED CONTENT CREATION: FASTER BUT STILL PERSONAL
Consistently creating valuable content is key to establishing yourself as a thought leader. AI can streamline the process without compromising your authenticity.
AI tools like Jasper AI and Grammarly assist with content writing and editing, ensuring clarity and engagement while maintaining your unique voice. AI can also help repurpose content — turning a single article into a LinkedIn post, email newsletter, or even a podcast script — helping you stay visible without spending hours on content creation.
3. OPTIMIZING YOUR LINKEDIN PROFILE WITH AI
LinkedIn is a powerful platform for building your professional brand, and AI can optimize your profile for visibility and impact
AI-powered headline analyzers and profile evaluation tools can ensure that your profile communicates the right message. AI-driven SEO tools help integrate relevant keywords, making it easier for others to find and connect with you.
A well-optimized LinkedIn profile not only increases engagement but also positions you as an authority in your industry.
4. BUILDING VISIBILITY AND NETWORKING WITH AI
A strong personal brand isn’t just about what you say — it’s about who you connect with. AI-powered networking tools can identify key industry figures, suggest relevant connections, and automate aspects of relationship-building.
AI email assistants like Copy.ai and Grammarly AI help craft compelling outreach messages, while social listening tools like Brandwatch track industry conversations so you can engage with the right people at the right time.
Networking in the digital age is about strategic engagement, and AI can help ensure that you’re focusing on the right opportunities.
5. SCALING AND AUTOMATING YOUR BRAND WITH AI
Once you’ve established your brand, AI can help scale your efforts efficiently
Social media automation tools like Buffer and Hootsuite schedule posts for optimal engagement. PR monitoring platforms like Cision track media mentions and branding opportunities, while AI-generated newsletters via platforms like Beehiiv keep your audience engaged effortlessly.
By automating repetitive tasks, AI allows you to focus on thought leadership, innovation, and relationship-building
AUTHENTICITY IN THE AGE OF AI
While AI provides powerful tools for personal branding, one thing remains uniquely human: authenticity. AI can assist with strategy and execution, but your personal experiences, insights, and unique perspective are what truly set you apart.
The most successful professionals are those who use AI strategically and ethically while maintaining their personal voice and values
AI offers a pathway to faster, more effective personal branding, but how you use it —and how you ensure your brand remains authentic — is up to you.

ON MERCY
A Story of Fear, Fate, and Forgiveness
In the high-stakes world of emergency medicine, where life and death decisions are made in mere seconds, M. Dara Claudius an ER nurse practitioner and writer has long understood the weight of responsibility. But it was not in the trauma bay, nor in the controlled chaos of a hospital, that she encountered her most visceral reckoning with fear, surrender, and mercy. Instead, it came in the African bush, under the gaze of a wild elephant bull in musth.
Photographs of the author by Anna Kirschner accompany this piece, capturing the quiet strength and unwavering resilience of a woman who has walked through fire, st ood before giants, and emerged forever changed.
Ten days prior to finding myself trembling with feral rage standing before a wild elephant bull in musth, I was in the Sacramento airport in considering putting the dog down. The dog is young, an old English sheepdog I insisted on adopting despite my husband’s valid concerns. As with all my dogs, I trained this puppy with hours of repetition, boxes of treats, a clicker, love. He has bitten my husband twice - the first a graze, the second a deep puncture. The night before our flight he bit me as well, with no warning. I am fundamentalist in my beliefs about aggressive dogs, having seen in my professional life the sequelae of teeth versus flesh. “If he bites again, we will humanely euthanize him”, I announce; my voice firm, set. We have paid two thousand dollars to a behaviorist to assess the dog while we are in Africa on vacation, a trip we’ve long worked for. My husband is an engineer, I am a trauma nurse practitioner. We are problem solvers in separate worlds, held together by our fixing, by our individual and shared anxieties. His- the data, the bills, the house which seems to fall further into a state of disarray the more we try to bring order to it. Mine- the dogs, an ill brother, my own treatment- refractory high blood pressure, and the patients- always, the patients.
On leave from life for three weeks, we arrive at an unfenced camp in Grietjie, an animal reserve in the African bush which is part of Kreuger National Park. We spend our days on safari, driving in open air land rovers to see the lions, lazy on the road and the elephants, quietly grazing. Our evenings are spent dining al fresco outside the camp’s small restaurant with the rest of our group, four other couples from Europe who we’ve just met. After dinner we retire to the fire circle for dessert before the camp field guides take us to bed two by two, by torch light. There is no talk of politics or war.
Superficial pleasantries are exchanged in beautifully accented English. I try to practice mindfulness, to be present in these moments. My worries creep in unbidden, even here in the wild of nature I check my phone constantly for updates from the dog behaviorist, from my mom, from my colleagues. My iphone is an undetonated bomb in my pocket. My husband implores me to put it away, to be present with him in the bush.
We are accompanied on our twice daily bush game drives by trained field guides; impossibly young men with boundless energy and bravery. They tell us of their lives at home, the yearning for the wild that led them to their current employ. After the third night’s dinner our guide shares with us a YouTube video of an elephant attack, explaining the danger inherent to these giant creatures. He tells us of a charging female who almost took his life after he inadvertently encountered her and her calf while on foot. I shudder at this; he is 24 if he is a day. It is late and the fire is dying. Two of the Germans have gone to bed. The stars flicker quietly in the great African sky. An elephant herd trumpets in the distance; we are sleepy in our camp chairs with packed bellies, a long hot day behind us.
Our guide picks his head up, suddenly alert. He has detected the scent of musth on the breeze, it is bitter and sweet, it stinks of high school locker rooms and almonds, an undercurrent of rage. He asks us to breathe in, to remember this scent for the future as male elephants in musth are unique in the danger they pose to humans. Their testosterone surging, they are prone to vicious attacks, the results of which are almost always fatal. I resolve to tuck the memory away lest we encounter a bull in the wild. The scent grows stronger. It is suffocatingly bittersweet. I am vaguely nervous. Our guide stands. The sound of trees cracking beneath a great weight causes our guide to slowly turn, to peer through the boma fence; a loosely arranged four-foot pile of sticks in the middle of which we sit. The scent of musth grows overpowering. We have been surrounded by a herd of breeding elephants, a wild bull in musth among them. The guide instructs us to look through the fence, but to remain entirely still and quiet. We hold our breath, hushed. Through the trees in the dark we can see the faint outlines of the massive creatures. I hold my breath, shaking. I look at the guide, his face is obscured by shadow but his hands are bathed in firelight, trembling. He looks so young, so afraid.
At once, the bull crashes through the trees and brush towards the boma, musth pouring from his glands. My vision, which has always needed correction, auto tunes to 20/10. I cannot hear or see the other couples huddled near or my husband; I can see only the bull, striding towards us. I have no thoughts. I am at once feral, raging, heart pounding thunder in my chest. Every cell in my body is poised to kill; my hand grips for an invisible spear and for the first time I experience savagery; the fierce need to destroy for which there are no words in any language.
The bull moves towards us; his stride is impossibly long. Time stops. My ears ring, I can hear only that and the rapid pounding of heart. I hold my stifled breath within me. A second passes, the elephant moves like a giant wave. He is now a foot before us, peering down over the boma fence with his eerily knowing eyes. He is so close I could reach out and touch him. “Do not move”, our guide whispers, his voice trembling, his youthful bravado gone. We are frozen deer in the moonlight. We are prey.
It is then that rage leaves me, drains out fast like water from a bath with the plug pulled. I am gripped with fear, metallic and cold. There is only this fear and a thundering silence. In this silence my worded thoughts return. I marvel that this rare thing is occurring, and I wonder if there is safety data on safaris. I wonder why I devote so much energy to worry, an entirely useless emotion. I lament our distance from the nearest trauma center. I wonder why on earth I have insisted for the past ten years on squeezing myself into size two lululemon pants when I am clearly a size four. My align pants dig into my love handles while I try to remain silent. The elephant stares, deciding. He is still, boring into me with his eyes. Suddenly he shakes his massive head, the precursor to aggression. In this moment, I know I will die. I don’t think of my family, loved beyond reason. I don’t think of my life or my unrealized dreams. In this moment as I stare into the eyes of the massive beast, my soul begs for nothing but mercy.
I draw a breath, ragged, then two. The great bull lowers his head. He turns, facing away, slowly striding off into the darkness. I am sweat soaked, in shock, frozen in place, staring after him in disbelief.
One by one we file quietly into the open-air restaurant structurein the dark to hide until the bull is well gone. We wait an hour and a half here in silence. Then, two by two, three guides bring two guests back to bed. We do not sleep. My husband, a recreational pilot and motorcyclist who fears nothing, is deeply shaken. We leave the camp in the morning and will spend the next week on an unguided tour of Krueger.
I lose my beloved Kindle in Berg En Dahl and am entirely unfussed, I let it go like so much spilled milk. Each night I give myself a moment of time to send quiet well wishes from my heart to the patients, my brothers, my dogs. The rest of the day I force worry away, this intentional rejection of an act of mercy for myself.
We fly home. As the plane touches down at SFO, I know that I will not put the dog down. I text the behaviorist to arrange for pick up. I open a web browser and navigate to the lululemon site, add five pairs of size 4 pants to my cart. I will never pull these pants on without thinking of the elephant bull. The ripple effect of his mercy will follow me in the years to follow, pushing me gently forward through the waters of loss and change. He will come to my mind unbidden and daily for the rest of my life, particularly when worry threatens to rise like a cobra and I am at once transported back to Grietjie, to watching him turn and disappear into the darkness. The knowledge that in South Africa a creature of great self-restraint and mercy roams quietly through the bush has given me great inspiration, and great peace. For his great lesson I will always be grateful.
Supporting Education, Art, and Community
At Women & Business Magazine, we believe that success is not just measured by professional achievements but by the impact we make in our communities. When a former client of our co-founder, Anna Kirschner, reached out about a meaningful cause, it was an easy decision to get involved.
Huong, whose children attend Louise Van Meter Elementary School, invited local businesses in Los Gatos to support the school’s annual Adults-Only Fundraiser. This event raises vital funds for programs in art, music, and language education — initiatives that play a crucial role in shaping young minds.
For Women & Business Magazine, supporting causes like these aligns perfectly with our mission. Education, particularly in the arts, fosters creativity, innovation, and confidence — values that are essential for future leaders. Many of the successful women we feature in our magazine credit their early exposure to the arts and education as key influences in their journeys.
Research consistently shows that art and music education enhance cognitive development, improve problem-solving skills, and provide children with creative outlets that boost emotional well-being. However, these programs are often the first to face budget cuts, leaving many schools struggling to provide the well-rounded education that every child deserves.
That’s why we are proud to support initiatives like the Louise Van Meter fundraiser. By investing in education and community-driven projects, we’re not just helping students — we’re strengthening the foundation for a more innovative and inclusive future. Anna Kirschner, along with Women & Business Magazine, was honored to contribute, knowing that the funds raised will go toward enriching the lives of over 400 families in the Los Gatos community.
Our commitment to philanthropy doesn’t stop here. We actively seek opportunities to champion causes that uplift women, children, and the broader community. Whether through scholarships, mentorship programs, or fundraising efforts like this one, we believe in using our platform to create meaningful change.
To all the businesses and individuals making a difference — whether through financial contributions, volunteering, or spreading awareness — we celebrate your efforts. Together, we can ensure that the next generation has the tools, resources, and inspiration they need to thrive.
