How To Draw a Croissant

MEASURED DRAWING OF A CROISSANT
How to measure a Croissant? Taking photo is the fist step, the photo icludes plan view and elevation, and also the three different sections of the cuted croissant are scanned for the future hatching. Those photo need layout and outline. Furthermore, in the process of drawing the croissant, I mainly used pencils to sketch the details and shadow of the crossiant, and the type of the pencil include 2H, HB, 2B, 4B. Meanwhile, using 0.4 fineline outlined the cut line of my drawing croissant.

NEW MARIO WORLD The new Mario world. In my original Mario world, it just look like common mario world. The theme that I decided is about terror. That is why the whole tone in my Mario world is darker. Moreover, I change many items in the original world, for example, the cylinders of the original world were added hideous expression, and alos I add many new decorations, such as skull, snake and so on. In order to make the atmosphere of my world more real, I use brush in photoshop to add fog. The posture of Mario alos can create an atmospher of tension, and indirectly tell a story for people.

The process 1 of Axonometric drawing The first step is setting up the Mario world for 45 degrees, and than use 2H pencil to draw axonmatic
The process 2 of Axonometric drawing Using the 0.4 fineline pen hatch the line of axonometric drawing, and wipe out the unnecessary pencil line.

PAPER LANDSCAPE The making of new landscape Module 3 is mianly based on the the use of Rhino, and workshop and the recording in LMS is great helpful for me to understand and use Rhino. In Rhino, I try different kind of surface and Patterns in many time. I prefer regular and simple surface and patterns. Thus, the surface of my final work is gradually change, and the part of the inspriation is form terraced Hillsides. Meanwhile, I use 8 various pattern in my work. the part of the top right corner is trapezoid, and trapedzoid gradually sperated to two differnet triangle, and finally become signal triangle. what is more, the height of the model alos gradually decreased form the upper right corner. Additionally, I use lacer cutting. This way help me save much time. The material that I use is quite thicker paper, so there is problem that some connectd part of model is hard stick together.

Cities & eyes 4: Phyllis
INVISIBLE CITY
Yilin Zhao, 940641
Cities&Eyes 4--- Phyllis the city based on the observation of Marco Polo, so he may play a vistor role in this world. In the story, Marco Polo’s perspective is more trend to a visistor. In his view, this scene is very bright and spacious, and there ara many exquisite decorations, such as statues of queens,a wide range of style of windows and so on. Furthermore, the outdoor scene is also attractive, like beacutiful riverside scenery. The beauty of the scene also gives the people pleasure, including Marco Polo himself. With the passage of time, the decorations and beauty scenery do not attract people anymore in this city. You would find that “soon the city fades before you esys”by exploring the depths of Phyllis through Marco Polo’s persepective. The beautiful and tidy pedestrian road become in bad shape. When Marco polo walk around there, he must watch his step in case tripping rather than paying attention on beauty scenery. I add uneven surface to the road, and the pillars are made by the old and chesp stones texture. Moreover, I still use the exquisite windows from the first perspective scene which make a comtrast. The apply of old iron door and roadside store has sealed the whole view, and the atmostphere of the whole view give people a heavy feeling. It is completely different from the open space (perspective scene one).

REFLECTION In the FodR, I learn a wide range of things from lecture and workshop, and some of those things I have never try before. For example, in Rhino, I learn how to make differnt shape of 3D model. Moreover, in photoshop, illustrator and inDesign, I learn how to quickly matting image and how to draw and typesetting. Furthermore, the guidance of tutor and teacher in workshop help me a lot to understant those software. Thoese skill also is great helpfull for my other course, and I believe that the development of those skill has positive impact on my future architectural learning. In the 4 module, the module 3 is the one that I really want to improve. Due to the rush of time, the process of hand origami is very careless, and many details of the work are not dealt with well. Overall, in this course, I gain various useful and new skill and knowleged within a short timeframe, and I am pleased and quite satisfied with the my performance during this semester. In the furture learning, I will make persistent efforts.
