METAL WOOD PAPER PLASTIC
“UD Dry Toilet” stands for Urine Diversion Dry Toilet. It can reduce the sanitary load to the environment by separating urine and feces, without using water. The most important task of night-soil treatment is to sanitize feces, then, to prevent waterborne disease from developing. After the separation, the feces can be incinerated or used as soil conditioners. And phosphorus and nitrogen contained in the urine can be precipitated and collected, and recycle as fertilizers.
METAL WOOD PAPER PLASTIC
UD Dry Toilets are easy to set up, transport , and recycle, and may installed in various situations, for example, on flat spaces, with existing toilet (Western or Japanese styles). In this project, cooperating with local citizen, governments and authorities concerned, we suggested 4 UD Dry Toilets made of wood, plastic, metal and paper.
Pacage Design
Our final purpose is the constructions of cities resistant in disasters by incorporating urine diversion into the city planning of the sewage system.
