VACANCY FOR EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT OFFICER SCRATCH is a well-respected local Charity for the relief of hardship operating in Southampton and across Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and ongoing additional support for our volunteer team (many of whom face multiple barriers to employment) by providing targeted work to help them gain employment or enter further training. DUTIES INCLUDE:     

Promoting volunteering opportunities The recruitment and induction of new volunteers Supporting volunteers to move into paid employment or further training Supporting volunteers with job applications, CV writing and training needs Assisting the Volunteer Manager in areas such as the welfare, training and support of volunteers  Regularly monitoring each individual volunteer’s progress using Triangle Outcome Stars  Working with the whole staff team to ensure SCRATCH’s operational aims are met We are seeking someone who has excellent communication, inter personal and networking skills and the ability to deliver group and one to one training and workshops. This post will be based at 33 Mount Pleasant Industrial Estate, Southampton, SO14 0SP, with regular travel to our other operational areas across Hampshire. The salary is £18,360 for a 28-hour week (to be worked over either 4 or 5 days which must include Fridays). Holiday entitlement is 20 / 25 days per annum (depending on the number of days worked), plus bank holidays. This is a time limited project funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation until mid-August 2020. Full induction will be provided (including time on existing SCRATCH projects) and the successful applicant will be expected to undertake any relevant training.
