Runners up were the Eastleigh Youth Trust and Rajni Bali, an Eastleigh Borough Council Community Worker. Friends of In Touch is a charity that supports emotionally and socially vulnerable children and young people with autistic spectrum conditions, and behaviours associated with them, in the Borough of Eastleigh. The trust has gone out of its way to provide accessible facilities for all to enjoy. Rajni Bali has been a community worker at Eastleigh Borough Council for many years and was recognised for the work she has done, above and beyond her role, to bring communities together. On the panel reviewing nominations for the award, alongside Mohammed Mossadaq, were Nick Tustian, Chief Executive of Eastleigh Borough Council; Daniel Kitchen, Manager of the Swan centre; and our own Jean Roberts-Jones, Chief Executive of One Community. The event was held on on Saturday 21 January at the Eastleigh Railway Institute.
