• Perform bank reconcilia•ons on a monthly basis and pe•y cash reconcilia•ons on a twice-weekly basis in VT+ accoun•ng so!ware • Cash up •lls for the recep•on, cafe and pe•y cash • File paid invoices, expense claim forms and pe•y cash receipts according to their category (day-to-day business, or claimable from Heritage Lo•ery Fund) and date • Assist with adjustments for the year-end accounts, prior to data being sent to the independent examiner • Other administra•ve tasks as required The museum is open Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Bursledon Brickworks Accounts Volunteer The volunteer-led Bursledon Brickworks Industrial Museum is looking for an accounts volunteer. The volunteer’s role is to record day to day financial transac•ons using accoun•ng so!ware (VT+), issue invoices and organise the payment of bills and to provide addi•onal administra•ve support where necessary. This role would suit an individual looking for experience in Accoun•ng and Administra•on. Typical tasks and du•es involved in the role include: • Learn VT+ accoun•ng so!ware • Ensure payments are made to suppliers on receipt of invoices • Issue invoices to pre-booked visi•ng groups and for site hire • Issue receipts when requested • Issue and record out-of-pocket expense claims for other volunteers • Record and analyse all income from visitors to the museum (admissions, café and shop purchases) • Record all financial transac•ons (income and expenses) in VT+ accoun•ng so!ware using double entry bookkeeping techniques
Forces Support Charity Shop – Fareham The Forces Support Charity Shop in Fareham High Street, just opened, is looking for help with all aspects of charity shop work: • Tagging items for sale • Rota•ng stock • Steaming fabric items • Serving customers • Health and safety The shop raises funds for the charity that was set up in honour of service personnel rsonnel who have lost their lives in current and recent conflicts. They provide vide general maintenance around the home and garden for the families of those who have ve died, using professional al builders and maintenance ce personnel employed by th the charity. Volunteers should ld be aged 18+
