angkawi is the most northern archipelago of Malaysia, featuring 99 islands in the Andaman Sea. The mainland is located only 4 kilometers away from Thailand’s sea border. So, it is very easy to go to Langkawi from Thailand’s southern province named Sutun by ferry. Langkawi Geo Park is regarded as the oldest land of Malaysia at 550 million years old. It is also the only UNESCO-endorsed Geoparkin Southeast Asia. Indeed, the number of visitors suggests that Langkawi is a nature-lover heaven due to its lush tropical jungle. It is thus a good spot for hiking trails on rocky coast as well as jungle and mangrove trails. As cooperating with Malaysian Nature Society (MNS), Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi (LADA), and Tourism Malaysian (TBA), Langkawi hosted “The 5th Asian Bird Fair” or “ABF” between November 29-30, 2014. There weremany participants from Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Philippines, and Thailand, which are all the hosts of the Fair. In this year, there were a lot of interesting booths at the event. Several birding associations provided information about ornithology and presented a variety of bird-watching gifts, such as T-shirts, bird-watching manuals, and binoculars. Love is All Around in While walking along Avenue des Champs-Élysées in the heart of Paris, I and my sweetheart heard La Vie en Rose, a classic song of Édith Piaf, vaguely from somewhere in distance. The song was so perfect for us as it helped fulfill our moment to be even more sweeter like a blooming pink rose. This was our first time in Paris in an early spring , of course not the last time for this lovely city.
Springtime in Paris, was magically beautiful and charming after the passing of winter. Metropolitan Paris was painted by clear blue sky, with beams of warm sun rays bouncing off colourful blooming tulips, drawing people out to al-fresco cafes enjoy their cups of coffee in the crisp clear air. We were engaged with this true Paris spirit, indulging in Neoclassical environment, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Renaissance Architectures surrounding Paris. In the midst of these romantic atmosphere in an artistic metropolis, Parisians expressed their love in public. Couples kissing each other on sidewalks, in the park and within Metro were common, leaving tinge of love and heart warmth senses around. Such love and warmth expressed in drove us to lock in gaze, leaving the question if we were capable of being explicit the same. We finally resolve ourselves to warm hugs expressing our own feeling between ourselves. Metropolitan Paris is a one of the largest capital city in the world. With residence approximating 2.1 million people. Notwithstanding the bustle and hasten pace of Paris, she retained her charm as a fashion city and shoppers’ dream destination. Fashionable Parisian women are stunningly beautiful and would stop any man in his steps gazing upon in admiration. In France, vividly tailored clothing were influenced from the artistic culture in Historical Renaissance. Albeit that Central Paris is small, it comprises many attractions including the Cathédrale Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Musée du Louvre, luxurious shopping avenues, renown restaurants, museums. Travelling point to destination was convenient by taking her huge metro network transport plying throughout Paris; “Châtelet – Les Halles” is the world’s largest

underground metro station. We took the metro from Youth Hostel; which was a suburb budget hostel in Paris, and located next to the River Seine, and dropped off at Trocadéro station to visit the magnificent landmark of Paris; the “Eiffel Tower”. Turning left from the station, we headed to “Palais de Chaillot”, an old palace that houses a variety of different museums. This attraction sights an impressive view of Eiffel Tower from the other side of River Seine. We walked across a bridge towards the Eiffel Tower. Each of the four pillars supporting the Eiffel Tower were equipped with elevators taking visitors to the tower top to a panoramic view of Paris. With a huge crowd standing in line awaiting their turn in the elevators, we decided to stroll along the river bank. We were stopped short in our stroll by the sweet scent of crepes, and saw banana topped with French chocolate at a small shop operated by a friendly French guy who told us that the sweetest thing in Paris is not a chocolate crepe, but being kissed in Paris. Love Spreading the splendour of love. After enjoying our crepes, we embarked in a boat from a pier front of the Eiffel Tower to sightsee historical interests along the banks of River Seine. The hour ride took us past Cathédrale Notre Dame, Louvre, Hotel de Ville, Pont Alexandre III, The Islands and finally, to ile St-Louise. Whilst enjoying the beautiful and historical architectures, we were surprised to see a replica of the Flame of Liberty, built in remembrance of alexandre gustave Eiffel; its designer and creator. Unfortunately, rain set upon us drawing us back to the hostel instead of watching The Eiffel Tower’s Illuminating as planned.

Nature’s blessing of good weather enabled us to take the metro to Cité station the next morning, we visited Cathédrale Notre Dame, a stunning cathedral which was built During medieval times and located on The Islands; also known as Île de la Cité The Cathédrale Notre Dame sculptured in French Gothic architecture, is dedicated to The Virgin Mary. It started building in the year 1163 but only completed in mid 14th Century. Cathédrale Notre Dame highlights are her stained glass decorations, comprising transept rose windows, flying buttress architectures, exquisite sculptures and the world’s largest magnificent organ. We set foot on the small octagonal brass plate which marks the exact location of Point Zéro des Routes de France in making our returning wishes to Paris again. We spent our time, thereafter strolling around historical architectures in the Islands and buying handicrafts. For lunch, we had a big baguette filled with slice pork and assorted vegetables and indulge in the best ice-cream of Paris; Berthillon in Rue St-Louis-en-l’lle. Next, we visited Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile and shopped at Avenue des Champs-Élysées. We conveniently took the metro to Franklin D. Roosevelt station and strolled to Arc de Triomphe. We sightsaw the colourful blossoming flowers and beautiful architectures along Avenue des Champs-Élysées,
which houses the world’s famous designer brands retailed by exclusive shops of clothes, shoes, perfumes, watches and the likes. The Louis Vuitton shop was incredibly huge like a large shopping mall. Avenue des Champs-Élysées starts at Place de la Concorde and ends at Place Charles De Gaulle. The name “Champs-Élysées” was named after Elysian Field, the foremost in Greek mythology, is also the last resting place for spirits of heroes defending France. Towards the western end of Avenue des Champs-Élysées, we reached Arc de Triomphe. It was historically built during 1806 by order of Napoleon, symbolising the victory in defending France. We walked through the compound and discovered a small monument standing in the middle of Arc de Triomphe, an eternal flame in honour of anonymous soldiers who sacrificed themselves in the victory of defending France in WWI. The top of Arc de Triomphe further provided a stunning panoramic view of 12 arteries known as avenues, including Champs-Élysée. That evening ended when we took the Metro to River Seine’s pier near the Eiffel Tower. The weather was chilly with few people stolling. However, we saw a Parisian couple kissing each other on a bridge influencing us in gazing into each other’s eyes leaning us to wonder if professing our love in the same sentiment of our trip whilst we were departing from Paris?... La Vie en Rose.

Seoul Tower or N Seoul Tower (N standing for Numsan Mountain) is one of World’s eighteen tallest towers located on Numsan Mountain. The Tower is 237 meters high above the summit of Mount Namsan. It has become the other most popular icon in Seoul since 2005. Cheonggyecheon is an 11 km long modern stream that runs in the heart of downtown Seoul and courses through the neighborhoods of Jongno and Dongdaemun. It passes through 22 bridges and finally empties into the Hangang river. Significantly, Cheonggyecheon is a main success of an urban renewal project created by a Seoul mayor and former president named Lee Myung-bak. Cheonggyecheon Stream was called Gaecheon during the Joseon Dynasty. It was modified to be a natural watercourse that formed where water gathered in the center of Seoul from the mountains surrounding the city. Accordingly, heavy rains would cause flooding in the area, damaging surrounding houses. The name Cheonggyecheon Stream (meaning clear flowing stream) first appeared during the Japanese colonial rule. After the end of the Korean War in 1953, Cheonggyecheon Stream area became the slums of Seoul. The government decided to completely cover the stream with an overpass in 1950s. However, in 2003, the Cheonggyecheon Stream Renovation Project was implemented to create a green center. To date, Cheonggyecheon is very serene with small waterfalls. Almost every week, Seoul residents like to gather along the stream for various cultural festivities and events. You can take an organized walking or stroll alone.

Bukchon Hanok Village has so many traditional homes called hanok. Hanok are typically single-story structures made of clay, wood and stone with heated floors topped by curved tile roofs. There were over 800,000 hanoks 30 years ago in Seoul; however, presently only some 12,000 remain with 900 concentrated in Seoul Bukchon Hanok Village. Hongdae Art Freemarket is an open-air market for the original works of independent young artists and craftsters. The market is set up every Saturday afternoon from March to November in the park called “Hongdae playground”, just across the road from Hongik University. One of the good things about this market is that everybody can participate in the market as his or her own artist in order to present creative items, such as handmade notebooks, postcards, bracelets, necklaces, outfits, bags, scarfs, painted T-shirts, crafted wooden accessories, unique silver treasures, knitting items, and paintings. Between the 24th-25th of December,SakonNakorn locals will host a Christmas Parade or “Hae Dao Festival” (meaning a star parade in Thai) to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s. The star is thus regarded as the brightness of life in an upcoming year as well. SakonNakorn, a northeastern province of Thailand, is located 740 kilometers away from Bangkok. The distance does not make it difficult for you to visit this province due to excellent highways along the way. It will take you about 10 hours to get to SakonNakorn. First, it has Baan Tha Rae, the biggest Christian community of Thailand. There are 2 groups of Christians: those immigrating from Vietnam due to war and French oppression and those from Laos. There is no specific evidence supporting the origin of the Christmas Parade on December 24th in Baan Tha Rae. Nevertheless, it is believed that it might have come with a group of French missionaries led by Father John Baptist and Father Xavier GuĂŠgo in 1889. They taught local people to decorate the church with stars on Christmas. The Christmas Parade was first recorded on 25th December, 1982. It is believed that the locals have been happy to maintain this tradition. On this day, the number of children sit together and make star decorations as well as handmade lanterns. The lanterns are all made from a bamboo frame and covered with tracing papers. In general, the locals use candles for small lanterns, while using bigger lanterns with stronger bulbs. They will carry the lanterns to the Parade starting at the St. Michael, the Archangel Cathedral.
Prior to the Parade, people will first gather for Mass. For those wanting to experience people’s faithful attitude towards Jesus, it is very interesting to come here. There is a performance of Children regarding the Nativity of Jesus who was born in Bethlehem in Judea, to a virgin mother. Although it’s been 2015 years since the world has had the Commands of Christ, people in Baan Tha Rae still believe that the stars on Christmas Eve will always help them get through difficulties and eventually reach their goals. Near midnight, people will be heading to see the Christmas Parade decorated with over 200 stars. The night in Baan Tha Rae is not always dark, especially on Christmas Eve. A number of Santa Clauses come together with little angels and elves on cars as they are waving to people while throwing candies to the audience. If one night is not enough for you, there is a bigger parade held on the next day. A lot of Christian people from all over the province will join the parade in the city center of SakonNakorn. With hundreds of brightly decorative trucks, you will definitely get some sense of Christianity from this unique part of Thailand.

“黑森林”是非常重要的规模较大的自 然旅游区，非常迷人，在德国南部可以 算是得到很多游客亲睐的首选旅游区。 v我们开车进入巴图斯自动高速公路A5 线往南部方向出发，车速控制得也算快 ，我很喜欢德国的这点，那就是路上的 车不多，开车不用那么精神紧绷，可以 顺畅的呼吸。黑森林自然保护区位于巴 登 - 符腾堡州(Baden-Württemberg)，现在 已经成为了热门的旅游区，面积有大概 12,000平方公里，宽大概50公里，长（ 从北到南）大概160公里，它的西部与 法国接壤，至于南部则与瑞士接壤，边 境有莱茵河分割着。这个地区的大城市 有五个，也是我们这段旅程的几个地方 ，那就是巴登-巴登（Baden-Baden）、 弗罗伊登市塔特(Freudenstadt)、希尔塔 赫(Schiltach)、特里贝格(Triberg)和蒂蒂 湖(Titisee)。在所提起的五个地方中， 由于巴登-巴登拥有诸多的矿物质温泉 水疗而成为了最热门的旅游目的地。
朋友还告诉我春夏两季的时候，黑森林又和现在看到的景象完全不一样，那就 是一片片绿色的森林，近百种颜色各异的花朵争相盛开，温暖的阳光照射下来 ，让大地复苏，美丽、漂亮、让人神往等所有的形容词用在这里都不会显得过 分。来自欧洲各地的游客纷纷来到这里，在森林里徒步、骑自行车及在度假村 、小酒店民宿里住下，与大自然亲密的接触。开车开了很远，有些累也有些冷 了，我们就在一家面点店停下了，这是一家可爱风格的自制面点店，朋友说可 别小看这家店，因为他家的黑森林蛋糕可是全世界有名的!

Three years ago, Ducati dropped a bombshell saying that Ducati’s team was going to produce a cruiser bike. Surprisingly, the campaign for Diavel introduction was “Don’t call me a cruiser”. Anyway, people still called it a cruiser but added “power” at the front. So at the end it was called “power cruiser”. When Ducati Diavel was launched in 2011, it became a best seller around the world. The Diavel model was designed applying from Ducati design team’s wish for a dream motorcycle. Imagine the front wheel kept close to its body, a massive 240 section rare tire, extended capacity fuel tank, broadened and raised handlebars, and rider footpegs at the middle of the Diavel’s body. It looks like a shape of a muscular athlete at the starting blocks: dominant and confident. This year Ducati Diavel is available in two new designs. I personally think that these new designs are still interesting. A high-end sport motorcycle can never be outdated. It actually depends on your lifestyle. Thus if you usually like to lope around but still want to have some aggressive ride, then Diavel is for you. The two new handsome designs are Diavel Dark (919,000 baht) and Diavel Carbon (1,089,000 baht). I’d like to introduce you this Ducati Diavel Carbon 2015. I’ll test ride it on a 1,500 kilometers trip and we’ll see how it feels ridden under different conditions of route.

A number of changes have been done to Diavel Carbon. There is a 1,198cc Testastretta 11-degree L-twin engine to shift horsepower
and torque into a more usable chunk of the rpm band. Horsepower can now rise to 162 hp at 9,250 rpm instead of 9,500 rpm. There is a ceramic-coated header pipe which not only looks awesome but also lowers the surface temperature. Likewise, the relocated injectors make 4.5 percent improvement in torque. A chassis is premium quality with Ducati Safety Pack. Marzocchi’s 50 mm. fork and Sachs shock are both adjustable. Assured brakes system is Brembo Monoblocs. And certainly, tire from Pirelli with Diablo Rossa II grip. A seat is updated as well. Thicker foam and a new shape are applied for a more comfortable ride. Other major changes include the new stunning LED headlight and two TFT display screens. The screen near a handlebar provides riding and engine information, as well as a digital clock. Another screen which is on the tank displays a riding mode, a fuel gauge, and side stand indicator. It shows the temperature of the surrounding air as well. There is a kickstand sensor warning you to put up the kickstand before taking off which I think is really good for safety reason. The only thing that is odd to me is Diavel has no luggage rack while everything else is fully equipped. But no worry, you can indeed buy an additional luggage rack for 85,840 baht. This Diavel has spectacular contrast-cut 9 spoke forged wheels that makes it even more alluring. Moreover, Ducati design team has bravely set a lateral radiator to the Diavel. They used their technical skill to turn the not so good looking radiator to a pleasant design. Diavel Carbon offers you in two color combinations including Red Carbon and Star White Carbon. Mine is Star White Carbon with a Ducati’s signature, Trellis Frame.
Test ride: Bangkok - Nan - Phu Lang Ka - Chiang Rai - Chiang Dao - Chiang Mai I weigh 64 kg, height 160 cm, which is the shape of Dani Pedrosa, a MotoGP racer in Repsol Honda team. I’m 160 centimeters tall and weigh 64 kg which is a perfect size for a racer. But that’s fine (keep cheering myself up). Therefore, my first impression to Dieval as I sat on it was I felt confident and grateful because both of my feet could touch the ground! A throttle controlled by an electronic Ride-by-wire- system, a brake, and a clutch are smoothly and easily used.
Another thing I’m impressed about the Diavel is that it can be started just by pressing the key-on switch on the electronic key. Riding Mode, too, is easy to use. By pressing the same button on the left handlebar, you can switch to three modes: sport, touring, and urban. Each mode represents in a different color so you will know which mode you are using just by a quick glance.
SPORT MODE : is an aggressive 162 hp mode with low level Ducati Traction Control (DTC). TOURING MODE : is not as powerful as Sport Mode but still aggressive. It is suitable for a road trip. URBAN MODE : is a handy mode when passing an unpaved road or slippery surface. This mode decreases horsepower to 100 hp and has high DTC.
DAY 1: Bangkok – Nan
DAY 3: Route 1148 – Doi Mae Salong, Chiang Rai
From Phahonyothin road to Nan is 668 kilometers long. I began the trip with Urban Mode and eventually got bore for its sluggishness of 100 hp. I then switched to Touring Mode. An acceleration shifted really fast so I can smoothly overtake a car. The first night my group decided to spend in Nan and prepared for the real journey.
DAY 2: Route 1148 - Phu Lang Ka - Chiang Kham
This section of the road has many high speed curves so I could finally use Sport mode. It was amazingly aggressive. I got the feeling of racing in a Superbike race. Unfortunately, our GPS brought us to a wrong way. Turned out we were on a road where there were twisting curves and some unpaved sections instead of going to Mae Salong. I had to switch urban mode and touring mode back and forth. It was getting dark but Diavel’s headlight illuminated brightly along the way. DAY 4: Chiang Rai - Chiang Dao - Chiang Mai
We took the famous 1148 route, the road that has a very beautiful scenario and a hundred of curves. A surface of this road is similar to a race track. We took off in the late morning and headed to Phu Lang Ka Resort. I used Touring mode and didn’t change to Sport mode yet because of the road curves. Anyway, Diavel carbon had shown its quality. It made a fast but really smooth turn. I would say it has an ideal Traction Control.
In the last day of the trip, on the way to Chiang Dao cave the road was wide and smooth so I thought I can relax for a while. However, there were high speed curves and heavy volume of cars. I turned to be more aware because I cannot see the drive way clearly. We went up and down the hills. I could feel the difference in Diavel’s engine. Its chassis and brake were really terrific. After I had tested the Diavel with my own hand, all I can say is this is absolutely a racing motorcycle.
BAD ASS MACHINE To sum up, Ducati Diavel Carbon 2015 is a badass motorcycle for people who want a comfy bike with powerful engine to give a manly feeling. It is an aggressive invention with a full equipped technology. It is a handsome bike that suits wide range of body type of the rider. Nevertheless, remember that the real “handsome” doesn’t come from a bike or a rider but a road safety and manner.

第一天：曼谷- 楠府 对车的功能有一定的了解后，我们的车轮就从曼谷开始启 动了，第一天的行程是是向楠府出发，平直的路线有668公里。我 们从城市模式开始，因为马力只有100Hp，所以觉得有些厌倦了， 后来转换到旅行模式，瞌睡虫也慢慢的消失了。一路上觉得Diavel Carbon的操作非常容易，加速能力非常强，能轻松的高质量的超 车，这段路内我觉得还没必要启用运动模式。我们在楠府住了一 晚，第二天挑战才开始出现。
第二天：1148号公路- 扑兰卡（Phu langka）- Chiangkham 之前我已经领教了1148号公路的威力，这次算是第二 次了，也不觉得厌烦，因为路况就和赛车场差不多，有好几百个 弯，当然自然景色也很美很美。我们等到路面的露水干得差不多 了才出发，所以有点晚，今天的目的地是离扑兰卡（Phu langka）不远的度假村。
第三天：1148号公路- 清莱美斯乐 这段路程也有很多弯，所以我觉得选择启用运动模式，没过多 久，我的天呀，路况越来越凶险，进入弯路后就重重的刹车，刚进和 出弯路的时候加速，就和在赛车场上感觉一样。这个模式能深刻的了 解挖掘Diavel Carbon的潜能，它的刹车系统（Brembo Monoblocs） 也能很好的安全的控制发动机处在1,198CC。这部电影的结尾处有 个令人紧张激动的情节，这是因为GPS系统带我们走过了目的地美 斯乐，我们像进入了充满多个陷阱的迷宫一般，路面越来越窄，山 上的悬崖也越来越可怕，尤其是Hair Pin弯像是上天特地安排来考验 我们一样，路况也非常的不平整，我们完全没有想到情况会变成这 样，这种状况下，我更换了骑行模式，那就是在城市模式和旅行模 式间转换。这绝对是一次值得记住的教训，但万幸的是我们能平安 无事。
第四天：清莱-清刀-清迈 旅程的最后一天从美斯乐出发开往清迈，经过清刀岩洞，我 心里暗想这应该是小事一桩，因为虽然弯多车也多，但路况很 好，路面平整宽广。但这段路的骑行在赶时间的同时，也要注 意安全，特别是在安全的情况下超车的同时也要注意对面驶来 的车，这种情况下我们超车了多次，因为是山路，上山又下山 的，让我们能更好的了解了1000CC的发动机，加上其他下面系 统和优秀的刹车系统，可以说杜卡迪是非常非常好的。
Ducati Diavel Carbon 2015总的来说，适合那些寻求 坐的舒服，看起来又威武上进有男人味的主人，此外 我还喜欢这辆车强劲的发动机和周全的功能，它的设 计也适合不同人群的人体结构，既适合男性也适合女 性。 如果您想在长途旅行中试验它的所有功能，建议 安装Strada，我觉得虽然有些贵但是也很值。夜晚的 Diavel Carbon 2015会散发出它独特的魅力，因为它 的前后灯设计新颖独特，相信您会喜欢它。

Lotus is such the sweet lovely queen of aquatic plants. A lot of people also regard lotus as a symbol of eternal and pure love. I believe that none of us can take our eyes off of this type of flower if there are million blooming lotuses right in front of us. This is not a dream. Million lotuses await us on Nong Han Kumphawaphi Lake, in Udon Thani, Thailand’s northeast province. With a gigantic water body of 22500 Rai or 36,000,000 Sqm., the Lake has naturally been filled with tons of blooming lotuses between December and February. Needless to say, the beauty of this festival carries though winter to this part of Thailand. During this period of time, Nong Han locals will be cooperating with Tourism Authority of Thailand to host the “Million Lotuses Wedding Festival” on February 14th, 2015. The marriage registration process will be arranged on the stage whilst the unforgettable wedding will be held on the Lake full of million red lotuses. At this winter event, you will probably know what love feels like to you when confronted with several couples in love. The couples may also start feeling their upcoming marriage life while a number of people congratulate them. I guarantee that it’s worth it. Imagine that once in your
life you have an opportunity to see million lotuses in the atmosphere of eternal love. Those who are interested to attend the festival are required to pay for the entry. The International Balloon Festival was just held in December 2014 nearby the bank of Ping River in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Its highlight is the release of tons of balloons in various sizes, shapes, and colors into the morning blue sky of Chiang Mai, a city full of lush green mountains. The Festival was attended by several balloons flyers from all over the world. There were also hundreds of small balloons released in the evening. Why do we call balloon the only unexpected aircraft on earth? Because you will never know what the balloon trip is going to be or where it is going to land. So, good luck with the unexpected journey.

To date, Duangrit Bunnag is one of the most famous architects in Thailand. His outstanding work in the past three years includes extensive range of award-winning architectures, design restaurants, art galleries, and coffee shops. Apart from his busy life, 24Life is truly grateful be have a chance to talk with him a bit. Q: How would you describe yourself? Do you think you see things in a very different perspective from other people? A: I’m an architect. I’ve never intended to be different. It’s just that my right perspective is something I personally feel right about it. It’s been always like this since I was a child. Probably my mother had a big influence on my life.
Q: Could you please tell us more about your mother? A:My mother is so artistic. My grandfather is even more so because he studied Arts and also owns a printing house. As for my mother, she usually sees things differently from other people. It seems I was influenced a lot by her. When I was as a student, for example, I used a tote instead of a black leather bagthat other students normally carry. I thought it was more useful, that’s why. You know, I could hold a handrail with both hands, as I didn’t have to mess witha hand bag. That kind of bag was not right for me. Q: How about the time when you were in USA? It seems your work started to beout of ordinary? A: I’m not sure if it was out of ordinary or not. But I think a thesis has to be something very awesome. I didn’t want to design an ordinary building or a house, so I decided to design a sky scraper.It was a building with two main units. The first unit was a building on the ground. The second unit could be called as a satellite. This satellite was designed to reflect sunlight as well as to produce energy transferring down to the first unit. So, at night the first unit didn’t have to use electricity. I just imagined the future world where every city never sleeps. Q: How about your last design in the university? A: Most of my friends designed resorts but I preferred a gallery with complex frameworks. My design couldn’t be drafted with normal technique. Back in time, there was no equipment for designing this kind of structure. I had to create my own technique using drafting tools that I made by myself. Though there was no CAD program, I finally got an A from this project. Q: Do you think you can predict your own future? A: Only sometimes. Apparently,everything a cause of its own being. Q: How was your working life? A: I started my architect career at the A49 Company. After my internship, Ihad worked there for9 years until I became a Middle Manager. Then there was an economic crisis in 1997. The company couldn’t get any clients. I felt like a burden of the company. So, I decided to resign. Q: So that was the beginning of DBALP (Duangrit Bunnag Architech Limited Partnership)? A: I still remember it clearly. That day I heldonly 200 thousand baht in my hand, but I have started my own company since then. Q: What was it like to be on your own? A: I rented a small space in a basement of A49 building before moving to Siam Discovery. I had worked there along with managing my home decoration shop called Any Room for 9 years. Then I moved to The Jam Factory until now. Q: Today you are not just an architect. Should we better call you a creator? A: Well, I’m still an architect though. All theawards I’ve got remind me of what I do best. Q: What’s the award that you are most proud of? A: I had won many awards but my best one is Best New Hotel in The World, which I got from designing the Naka Hotel in Phuket, Thailand. It is awarded by Wallpaper Magazine from USA. This hotel has many rooms floating in the air. As the hotel has a stunning landscape of towering cliffs, its ninety-four rooms are carved out of the cliff. Foreigners said that this is the best place to have sex.
Q: What is your motivation for opening a restaurant? A: Moving an office to Klong San is a starting point for The Never Ending Summer. I’d always wanted an office in a warehouse on the riverside. Last year my friend from high school took me to this place. He said that he wanted to improve this warehouse. The warehouse had been demolished before, but I ended up renting it from him. I planned to make this place my office. However, there were 3 warehouses. I thought that the last one nearest the riverside seems to have a nice location for a restaurant. Anyway I had no experiencein this kind of thing. So, this plan was discontinued. I had thought about it for long before deciding to make it. Why would you let other peoplebe rich instead of letting yourself do it when you know it’s going to work out, right? And later Aam helps me run this restaurant properly. Q: Why does this restaurant sell Thai food? A: It would be hard to make foreign food to compete with other restaurants. Because I am Thai and love Thai food the most, I trust my tongue. I can tell you exactly what dishes, or even what kind of chilli pastes, are good or bad. Q: Is it now successful? A: Sort of. It’s going very well. Q: And is the Second branch now opening in New York City? A: Yes. I accidently met a friend of mine there. He just retired from working as a Creative Director for Lo’real. When he went dining with him at The Never Ending Summer, he was joking to open a branch of the restaurant in NYC. I took it seriously and went there weighing the possibility. Then I found a location on the 9th avenue. Now I have my best friend Suphachai Chearavanont, CEO of True Corporation, asmy partner. I guess the restaurant will be opened in late 2015. Q: Let’s get back to The Jam Factory. Could you please tell us a little bit more about it? A: I think at the time it was like we were dancing to see whatever comes up comes out. I didn’t have a strict plan on it. It was just because I happened to rent 3 warehouses. Then I figured out what to do with each of them. So they became an office, a restaurant, then an art gallery, and a library-like coffee shop. I was about to lease the warehouses to other people, but it would be better for me and my friends to do it all by ourselves. Q: Looking around the restaurant, there are many people with Macbook working on designing. A: I know. Many of them said that this place inspires them when they try to design something. More importantly, our customers are good-looking. Q: What about the Jam Gallery? A: Actually it has been opened prior tothe coffee shop. Papan, a photographer of street photography style and an expert in exhibition, is our Gallery Director. Every exhibition having arranged here is impressively successful. Pieces of each exhibition were all sold out. We have a lot of interesting artists joining our exhibition, including Lolay who exhibited his work in the last exhibition. There is also a new artist joining our current exhibition. This guy is able to sell almost all of his work.
Duangrit Bunnag 是现今泰国最有名的建筑师之一，我们24Life杂志非常荣幸有机会能 和这位建筑师见面聊天。这个男人真的很不简单，在过去的两三年时间内，他创作出了 一系列优秀突出的作品，有获得了多项奖项的建筑物，同时他也在经营自己的餐厅、艺术 廊及咖啡馆。
Q.Duangrit是个什么样的人？觉得自己看问题看事物和其 他人有什么区别？ A.我是建筑师，从来没有想过自己看问题要和别人不一样， 但是有的时候我看到的往往是我自己看到的，以我自己的眼 光看到的，从小就是这样了，不是刻意的去追求的，这其 中，我妈妈对我的影响比较大。 Q.能不能讲些有关妈妈的事？ A.我的妈妈非常的艺术，而我的外公比我妈妈更加的艺 术，因为画画还有家里是做印刷厂生意的缘故，所以我的 妈妈是个不同于其他人的人，我受到妈妈的影响很大，比 如说小时候大家都有学生制服和黑色皮书包，但是我就不 喜欢，我喜欢用能斜背的布包，因为觉得比较好用而且适 合我，坐公车的时候，双手可以抓住座椅靠背等，而不用 手拿书包。 Q.那在美国留学的时候呢，听过那时候的作品已经超越了 世界？ A.我也不知道是不是超越了，大概1985年或是1986年的时候， 我在做论文，那时我不想做些关于建筑物或者住宅的论文，我 觉得论文一定要做得好，那时我就设计了两个摩天大楼，一个 是在地表上的，而另一个我们也可以叫它卫星，这
个卫星摩天大楼能接收太阳照射下来的光线作为能源用在 地表摩天大楼上，那就是到了晚上，地表上的建筑物可以 不用电。那时候我假设将来各个城市将会变成不眠城。 Q.在大学时期，最后一件设计作品 A.同学们都设计大楼、度假村，但是我设计艺术廊，作图 的时候也不能用普通的作图方法，而且那时候的作图工具 也用不上， 我要自己想出作图的方法，包括三角板、设 计作图用的特制尺，甚至圆规都是我自己做出来的，自己 做出来的能画的更大。那个时候还没有CAD作图软件，最 后我的设计得了A. Q.觉得自己看得出未来吗？ A.大概吧，不过我觉得一切都是有缘由的 Q.工作生活 A.我的建筑师生涯是用A49公司开始的，开始在这个公司实 习，后来又在A49工作了9年做到了中层管理，1997年经济 不景气是个公司受到影响，没有业务，那时候我也不想给 公司添麻烦，就辞职了。
Q.这就是DBALP (Duangrit Bunnag Architech Limited Partnership)创建的原因？ A.那时手里有20万泰铢，我记得很清楚，就开了自己的工作室。
Q.为什么做泰餐？ A.我不是欧美人，如果做西餐肯定比不上人家，我是泰国 人，我觉得自己品尝泰餐的能力不比别人差，因为我很喜 欢泰餐，仅仅是辣酱我就知道哪种好吃哪种不好吃。
Q.请谈下自己出来单干的事 A.我先租了A49公司楼下的一个小地方，后来搬去暹罗广 场，同时还开了一个叫“Any Room”的家用装饰品店，做 了9年，后来又搬过来和The Jam Factory一起合作。
Q.觉得成功了吗？ A.能维持下去，而且经营的不错。
Q.今天的Duangrit是不是已经不仅仅是建筑师了？“创造 者”是不是更符合现在？ A.我还是个建筑师，有时会得些奖项，这些奖项让我更清 楚自己还是一个建筑师。
Q.听说已经在纽约开了分店？ A.是的，恰好偶遇一个朋友，他从纽约欧莱雅公司创意总监 的位置退休了，有天他到The Never Ending Summer到吃饭，他 就开玩笑式的问我想不想去纽约开个分店，我当时就拍板了， 分析可行性，最后决定在9th Ave路开，由我的这位朋友和Ture 公司的Supachai先生来一起入股合作，2015年就要开业了。
Q.值得自豪的奖项 A.我得到了很多奖，最最让我自豪的就是设计普吉NAGA酒店 而得到的“Best New Hotel in The World”奖，这个酒店是 世界上唯一一个获得美国“Wallpaper”杂志颁奖的酒店， 因为这个酒店的房间是漂浮在空中的，这个酒店临近悬崖的 独特地理位置使得能够建造出漂浮在空中的客房，这种客房 一共有94间，欧美人都说这个酒店是最佳的爱爱场所。 Q.那怎么会想到来开餐厅? A. The Never Ending Summer是搬工作室时候出现的，我 很想有个河边的仓库来做工作室，这是去年就有了的想法， 朱拉隆功大学实验学校的一个学长带我来看这里，说是想用 这么一个仓库来做点什么，空着怪可惜的，那个时候这个地 方非常旧，我就跟他说我自己租下来做工作室，后来觉得另 一个仓库也应该可以做餐厅，可是我不会做，只是觉得心里 痒痒的，想来想去最后还是觉得自己做，不想给别人做而浪 费赚钱得机会，因为这里的地理环境非常适合，后来还有个 得力帮手Khun Anm来帮做，经营得还不错。
Q.说下The Jam Factory A.我觉得它的成立就像是跳舞一样，我们随着处境的变化 而变换跳舞动作，我也没有多想，也没有马上就会想到会是 这样会是那样，一切都是从租用好几间仓库开始的，做工作 室，餐厅、艺术廊还有图书馆式的咖啡厅，开始也想过出租 给别人，后来想让别人发财还不如自己和朋友发财。 Q.看到这里每个人都有Macbook来做设计工作 A.是的，很多人都说Macbook在设计工作上给了很多灵 感，重要的是我们的客户都是美女帅哥。 Q.那Jam Gallery呢？ A.其实艺术廊开得比咖啡店还早，有位在展览方面很有经 验的Street Photo风格的摄影师来做艺术廊总监，这就是 艺术廊的开始。可以说我们的艺术廊做得很成功，每次展 览的艺术品都能卖完，不断的有很多艺术家来我们这里做 展览，像LOLAY之前刚在这做展览，还有很多新面孔的艺 术家也来做，现在作品都卖得差不多了。
This world is changing. Presently, people tend to use more healthcare and beauty services throughout the world. Not only are women interested in healthcare, but men also start doing so. What’s going on actually? I’m really convinced that most of us are now suffering from the increased pollution and toxins in everyday life. We cannot say that the water, food, and many other things that we have been consuming are 100% clean. Particular, those who live in a big city, how can you avoid being in this unhealthy atmosphere? It may be time for us to look back to our health and figure out what we can do to live a long healthy life.
Phuklon (formerly named Pong Duead Mae Sa Nga) features a natural hot spring and mineral mud. In 1995, it was found by a group of Thai and French geologists in the midst of a rice paddy field in Mae Hong Son, Thailand’s northern province. Afterwards, a sample of water and mud was sent to France for further research. It suggested that Phuklon hot spring and mud has some dermatological benefits contributing to better blood circulation and moisturized skin, as it is originated from the mud volcanoes as same as in the Dead Sea (Israel and Jordan) and Transylvania (Romania).

In northern Thailand, it is noted that a lot of consumers looking for a private property overlook the importance of structural strength. This is mainly because many of them have no idea about structural engineering and design of each property project, including house pile foundations. It is said that most of the houses built in northern Thailand have no pile foundation.
