lthough Krabi has been famous for a long time in terms of being a tourist attraction of the Andaman Sea, nevertheless there are intriguing health attractions on shore, especially in Klong Thom. Just 40 kilometres down to the south, away from the city district, lies a town set in the natural environment, where life is laid-back and perfect for a holiday. The best natural hot springs and crystal pool at Klong Thom, which we can experience all year round, are called the ‘Big 3’. These are a pool of emerald green color, a hot waterfall and a salty hot spring. All are close together, suitable for a one-day trip or an overnight stay. The emerald pool is a cold spring with refreshing water, while the temperature of the hot waterfall will not go over 40 degrees Celsius. or 30-40 years people have been awared of the famous Ranong hot springs, pioneering health tourism in using the hot springs for the relief of body and mind. Considering the good management of the facility and the beautiful landscaping, we recommend you for a visit with the whole family. ‘Rakiswarin Hot Spring’ is one of the best southern hot springs. It consists of several bigger and smaller ponds. The temperature is about 65 degrees Celsius, located in a public Park that has a footbath and a swimming pool. The water temperature here is not too hot, so soak up and relax. Furthermore, there is a standard spa room.

Sand Therapy is used because the minerals in our blood are also found in seawater. If our minerals are out of balance, we will be sick. For this reason, therapies for rejuvenation in seawater and sand dunes are called ‘ Thalassotherapy’. Having a sand bath at Mai Khao Beach is fun. Start digging a hole big enough for you to fit in. Then lay down in it. Leave only your head exposed, and rest for 20-30 minutes with feet facing the sea. Listen to the waves. Look at the sky to calm the mind. or the past 10 years, we have been familiar with of ‘Fish Spa’, a spa for feet. But the fish are trapped in the fish tanks. The atmosphere is not natural. Everything changed when I went to Nakhon Si Thammarat. One of the best southern fish spas, because it is located in a natural shady place with clear and cool water which is easy on your feet. Seats to sit on and drop your feet into the brook. Then the fish will come to your foot to nibble the dead skin cells. The first nibbles may tickle, but once you get used to it, then it is like a relaxing foot massage. he hammer massage has been known since ancient times in folk medicine, originating in Lanna over 2,600 years ago! It is widespread throughout Thailand today. For the genuine and the best, you should go to Chiang Mai, the centre of Lanna, to experience traditional methods and equipment. Forks and small wooden hammer strokes are used to massage along the lines where we are braced or aching. This is especially so for office workers who work all day and developed ‘office syndrome’. The authentic hammer massage is suitable for people with tendon problems, because the massages with hands do not work at the deep spots. Sometimes this method can cause a little bruise, but it’s not dangerous. After a few days, the bruise will fade away.

eppu is a small town in Oita province on Kyushu Island, Japan. This city is quite small but not ordinary because it is well-known as the most famous Onsen City. Beppu has several natural hot springs divided into eight zones called the ‘Beppu Hatto’. Each pond contain different mineral that heal and help you relax excellently. Furthermore, Beppu city has the special activity called ‘Hot Sand Bath on the Beach’ which is the most famous in Japan because of the natural black volcanic sand beach. It is warm enough for us to lie under the black sand for 10-15 minutes. It will help your blood flow better and sweat out. There are more than 16 hot springs here. The clear limestone spring flowing down and covering the mountains like a tuft of white cotton wool. The natural hot mineral pools here had been found 2,000 - 3,000 years ago in the Roman era. In addition to the public pool on the giant limestone mountain, Pamukkale also has a special hot mineral water pool called ‘Cleopatra’, which Queen Cleopatra of Egypt and Mark Anthony of Rome visited around 3,000 years ago but you have to pay extra fee for this pond.
