“I live in Rome from 10 years, but I’m Sicilian. As a young boy I loved to do in my country report, the get-togethers with friends, on vacation, at rehearsal with my old amateur company. As soon as I started the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome decided to attend the course in Photography’s theory and my teacher said that this was my way. I had to photograph! So it was. However, I have neglected my passion for painting and drawing that was useful for what I do now. I am self taught, but I want to improve me. The Fashion for me is creativity, colors, style, elegance! I started with a job for my thesis for specialization in Visual Arts on Advertising photography ironic and ended up knowing the great photographers of fashion that have left an indelible mark. They had dared to go beyond the classical canons of aestheticism. Fashion has always influenced my life. I think it is one of the world's most influential arts. He acquired a power equal to that of cinema and literature. And it is history. Some photographers' name who have influenced and inspired are Paolo Roversi, Tim Walker and Giampaolo Sgura”.

ALEJANDRA ALEJANDRA G. G. FASHION SHOES DESIGNER New Year Heels The New Year is a great time to transform your look, start fresh and add color to your life! This year, I am drawn to Alejandra G. shoe collection. The shoes can be worn for several different occasions. Going to a cocktail party and not sure what to wear? A perfect look is a simple black dress with bright bold high heels. Not only will the heels express your personality but will also make you look slim! Need a look for a causal night out? Pair your dark skinny jeans with a woven beige colored top, coral colored jewelry (to add some color) and a black/nude heel. You look trendy but not to dressy. What we wear should represent who we are, what we stand for and how we want others to perceive us. Whether we realize it or not, we are judged within the first 5 seconds of meeting someone. If your personality is bold, fun, daring and adventurous, Alejandra G. is the perfect fit for you! Alejandra G. is a brand that seeks to empower the woman, for her to feel confident, and be the center of attention when she enters a room. The style is feminine with a sophisticated yet girlie feel. The colors are bold, designed to be the main accessory of your wardrobe. I love the attention to detail that each shoe represents, they are each a work of art. Alejandra G. has captured the attention of celebrity fans such as Raven-Symone, Taryn Manning, Tamera Mowry and Carly Rae Jepsen. So who is the girl behind this brand? Alejandra has always loved being creative. Her past experiences include: being a part of a music group and also a TV producer. While she was producing, she had the opportunity of connecting with people in the fashion industry. That experience sparked the vision to pursue the dream of designing shoes. Alejandra’s first step in going after this dream was attending one of the top shoe design schools in the world, Ars Suttoria in Milan Italy. After graduating, she came back to Los Angeles and went full speed ahead creating Alejandra G. Today the company operates with a full sales team, a PR firm and assistants. Alejandra is becoming a name in the fashion industry, being known as shoes for the fashion forward woman. With styles ranging from studded sandals to platform pumps, this designer-to-watch has surely made a lasting impression with her awe-inspiring shoes. By launching her first collection in 2011, Alejandra G has created attentiongrabbing pieces that make an unforgettable statement when paired with any outfit.
2beMag
I got a chance to interview Alejandra on the process of creating her wonderful designs. What are some of your top sources of inspiration? Alejandra: My inspiration is always ecletic. I can’t pinpoint anything specific. When I design, I get inspired by things I am feeling at the moment. I do love following the runway fashion out of Europe. I am always inspired by the runway shows. What is a typical day like? Alejandra: Everyday I’m running my company. Returning emails, calling everyone from my Alejandra G Team making sure everyone is handling their duties on time, I do business with my factory out of the country and I basically just think a lot. I plan and map out my next moves. I want my brand to be a household name and for every woman to own a pair of my shoes so I have to work hard and stay focused. What are some of your greatest accomplishments? Alejandra: I would say starting my company. I jumped into this not knowing anything about running a company, especially a fashion company. I am very impressed with myself on how quickly I put it all together. I hope to make it an empire of different things; from clothes to jewelry, handbags, perfume and men’s sneakers. Anything I can get creative with; I am doing it. I loved getting to know Alejandra, I am a fan! This year, let’s be daring, not afraid to express our true selves! Here are my favorite looks from the collection. http://alejandrag.com

As if she had not entered the room yet, observant and composed, a sensing individual sits upright in her dimly lit studio. Muted tones can be heard in the distance, as if we enter a room filled with music humming in the dark. Her surroundings always seem in turmoil, whilst the rudimentary exterior surroundings, allow for melancholic reflection. HEIDI PAULA LANGVAD, inspired by the essence of seductive and empowered women, suggests and works towards her personal appraisal of effeminate silhouettes, one without individual compromise. Embracing her love for traditional craftsmanship, HEIDI PAULA LANGVAD works with selected Danish artisanal studios, with decades of experience in construction and a profound knowledge of materials. The collections are entirely comprised of carefully picked and mainly locally sourced natural materials, ranging from lush cashmeres, to merino wools, to lamb leathers and lush silks. It is by this way of producing; ethic values, sustainability, originality and authenticity are respectfully salvaged and upheld. Each unique finished garment therefore has undergone an intensive trajectory of sleek craftsmanship and exquisite construction phases, allowing elegant bearers of HEIDI PAULA LANGVAD to seek novel expressions. A dark colour palette further underlines her love for our hidden inner beauty, freed from societal restraints and filled with powerful suspense and timeless expressions. David Robert Jones (born 8 January 1947), known by his stage name David Bowie is an English musician, singer-songwriter, producer, actor and arranger. He is known for his distinctive voice as well as the intellectual depth and eclecticism of his work. Married with the super model IMAN, a fashion icon. David Bowie, is also a fashion icon, the one and only reference of music mixing fashion. Mod Bowie 1962-1968: The man who was called David Jones It’s tempting to imagine that David Bowie fell to earth in a spangly onesie, but photos of the artist as a young man show him to have been a serious mod. The ultimate early adopter, he started a trend for tapered-leg trousers at Bromley Technical High School, and dyed his hair with food colouring Hippy Bowie 1969-1972: The man who wore a dress He flirted with Buddhism, performance art and maxi dresses. When he married Angie Barnett in 1970, the two adopted a similar look: flowing locks, trousers and blouses. He was frequently described as looking like Greta Garbo. In 1971 he caused a sensation with the cover of ‘The Man Who Sold the World’, reclining in a medieval-style number by designer Michael Fish, whose Marylebone boutique specialised in ‘man dresses’ Raw Talents Issue
Glam Bowie 1972-1974: The man who turned into Ziggy Stardust. The streak of lightning, the shock of red hair, the insect-like body in a sequinned second skin: Ziggy Stardust is Bowie’s most visually memorable persona. It was created piecemeal, a jigsaw of cultural references assembled by the interested-in-everything Bowie. The haircut came first – courtesy of Suzy Fussey of Evelyn Paget ladies’ hair salon on Beckenham High Street. She later dyed it red to match a picture of Marie Helvin that Bowie had seen in a magazine. The make-up was inspired by Alice Cooper and the outfit by costumes in Stanley Kubrick’s ‘A Clockwork Orange’, stitched together by designer Freddie Burretti. Finally, Bowie – always first to spot new talent – went to the first Japanese fashion show to take place in the UK and hired Kansai Yamamoto, who would become the genius behind Ziggy’s most memorable costumes, like the catsuit that even Kate Moss struggled to get into on a 2003 Vogue shoot. Then Bowie shaved off his eyebrows and things started to get really weird. Soul Bowie 1974-1976: The man who was black on the inside, thin and white on the outside Having built Ziggy Stardust into a global phenomenon, Bowie killed him off, becoming preoccupied with a new interest in soul. Now 28, Living in LA, and subsisting on a diet of cocaine, Bowie took to dandyish tailoring, favouring a powder-blue Yves Saint Laurent suit. After seeing Judi Dench in a production of ‘Cabaret’ he adopted his iconic ‘Thin White Duke’ look.

Berlin Bowie 1977-1979: The man who did things differently Close to self-destruction, After his psychedelic, androgynous and theatrical characters, the most controversial thing Bowie could have done with his image was to pare it right down – so he dropped the glitter and went monochrome, pictured in black and white on the cover of ‘Heroes’, wearing a simple leather jacket and quiffy hairdo New romantic Bowie 1980-1989: The man who loved a performance By 1980, Bowie was back in dress-up mode again. On ‘Saturday Night Live’, he performed with the then-unknown cabaret countertenor Klaus Nomi. To sing ‘TVC 15’ he wore a dress with a toy poodle at his feet with a television screen in its mouth. … For the ‘Ashes to Ashes’ video, he revisited a lifelong fascination with sad clown figure Pierrot (who he would also reference in song ‘Threepenny Pierrot’: ‘Happy little feet that dance all day/Lonely little heart with lots to say’) and commissioned Natasha Korniloff (costume designer for Bowie’s 1967 stage debut, ‘Pierrot in Turquoise’) to create an astonishing cyber-clown suit Modern Bowie 1990-present: The man who turned his back on it all If Bowie’s career can be characterised by one thing, it is creative foresight. ‘When he decides to do something, he picks the most cutting-edge, most interesting person in the world to do it with,’ says Geoffrey Marsh. In 1997, Bowie commissioned a young Alexander McQueen to make him a Union Jack frock coat, painstakingly abraded with cigarette burns. It would be the centrepiece of the sleeve to ‘Earthling’, seen from the back as Bowie looks over the green fields of England, lord of all he surveys. After a heart attack in 2004, he withdrew to New York, ceased touring and refused all interview requests. His surprising, brilliant comeback album THE NEXT DAY marks yet another era for Bowie BOWIE is an ICON, a music and fashion ICON. by Lady Blue
