The Golden State Warriors have great players for the current season of 2014. Specifically, there are three which make the team very successful. Andre Iguodala made the All-Star game and the NBA ALL- Defensive team. Stephen Curry is currently one of the best three point shooters in the NBA (he broke the record for number of single season three pointers). Klay Thompson is best known for his shooting touch. His shooting is 42.9%, and his three point percentage, 40.9%, also made the team better. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are known as the “Splash Brothers”. Right now, the Warriors are the fifth best seed in the West.
Head Coach Mark Jackson was born on April 1, 1965. He used to be an NBA player, and even an All-Star. He also played for a lot of teams like the Knicks, Pacers, Clippers, Nuggets, Raptors, Jazz and the Rockets. He is currently the Golden State Warriors’ head coach. His NBA career span from 1987 to 2004.

This is when Mark Jackson was playing in the NBA.
After retiring from the NBA, Jackson became a broadcast commentator for ESPN and ABC. Jackson also worked with his former coach, Jeff Van Gundy, and play-by-play man, Mike Breen. Jackson also worked as an analyst in New Jersey for “The Yes Network’s” Net’s games. Later in 2011, the Golden State Warriors hired Mark Jackson as their head coach.

Did you know that the Warriors beat the Bullets four to nothing in the championship round?
The Golden State Warriors have a lot o achievements. First they won two championships. One was beating the Pi in 1956. They also swept the Bullets an won another championship. The Warrio also achieved a lot of conference titles. Warriors won six of them. They won in 1947, 1948, 1956, 1964, 1967, and 197 They also won two division titles, whic were in 1975 and 1976. The Golden Sta Warriors have done very well in the lat 1900s.
History
The history of the Philadelphia Warriors started in 1946. The team was owned by Peter Tyrrell and Steven Kim who also owned the Philadelphia Rockets. In 1959 the Warriors got Wilt Chamberlain, who was the first player to get 100 points in one game. After Wilt retired the Warriors were struggling. However, in the 1985 draft, they got Chris Mullin. He was the sharp shooter who made the Warriors successful again. Later in 1985, the name of the Philadelphia Warriors was changed to the Golden State Warriors. They also changed their logo.
Did you know that Stephen Curry broke the record for all time three pointers made in one season? He made 272 three pointers!
In the 2008 to 2009 season the Warriors were very disappointed and sad. First, they had a very bad record during the season, 29-53. Monta Ellis, their top player, was injured and suspended for 30 games from a moped accident. That’s what made the record very bad. But later, the young players had leadership and determination. Sometimes, they even beat power houseteams like the strong Boston Celtics where the score was 99 to 89 in favor of the Warriors. The Warriors improved very quickly, and even won some playoffs.

Determination- The quality of being determined to do or achieve something.
