eighteenth sunday in ordinary tiMe (Year B) 1/2 AUGUST 2015 Entrance Antiphon O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me! You are my rescuer, my help; O Lord, do not delay. Parish Spiritual Life You may recall the notice in a previous bulletin (4/5 July) that the Parish Pastoral Council has been reflecting on the general spiritual life of the parish and what opportunities might be provided. The prayer and praise went very well at the end of last month and the next will be on Sunday 23 August at 6pm. Each morning, from 8.30-9.30am, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration and particular intentions are prayed for each day of the week (see page two for these daily intentions - if you can’t make the time in the church please keep these in mind throughout the day). The third element of the PPC’s reflections was an additional evening Mass on the First Friday. This coming Friday there will be Mass at 7pm followed by prayers for healing. Attending Mass on the first Friday of the month is a traditional devotion, please do attend if you can. Days of Renewal In addition to the diocesan day of renewal to be held at St George’s Cathedral on Saturday 26 September (more info on page three) there will be a Day of Renewal in Aylesford. Entitled “Now is the time of God’s Favour” the day begins with Rosary at 9.30am and ends with Mass (which starts at 4pm). The main talk with be by Derek Williams and the day will feature a healing service, prayer and praise. Notice in the porch for more information.
