Entrance Antiphon O sing a new song to the Lord; sing to the Lord, all the earth. In his presence are majesty and splendour, strength and honour in his holy place. Progress Report on the Mission (13-28 Feb) We have had two good meetings about the Mission this week and we can report that we are well on the way. The Sion Community, who are conducting our mission, have a lot of experience in parish missions and provide all sorts of creative ideas to help the parish get the greatest benefit from the time they have with us. Just a reminder: the Mission begins on 13 February. We will be welcoming, at Mass, six Community members who will be leading the first week of the Mission, which is concerned with Parish Visiting. A number of our parishioners have volunteered to help them and the visiting will go on until Friday 19 February. The separate Sion team who will be leading the second week of the mission will arrive on 20 February and they will be leading the services on the weekend of 20/21 and throughout the following week. The following is a run-down of what we have achieved so far: Prayer Team The parish Mission Prayer has been written and printed: copies were given out at last weekend’s Masses. The team will meet again to plan further prayer in the lead-up to the Mission (prayers they compose are part of our weekly Bidding Prayers) and prayer during the Mission, especially during the Visiting week. The prayer and other materials can also be found on the parish website: www.ourladyhernebay.co.uk/parish-mission

More on the Mission - Publicity: The prayer card has been produced and posters and other leaflets are on their way. The website is being updated. Any advice on how we can best publicise the Mission will be gratefully accepted. Hospitality: The team providing the mid-day and evening meals for the teams is ready and prepared. There will be no-one going hungry. Accommodation: Again this is all arranged and we are so grateful to those who have been able to offer B&B to the members of the team. Visual display: Great work is going on and there are plans to involve the children and young people in producing artwork for the Mission. Visiting team: We now have a well-organised record of the names and addresses of all parishioners. This will greatly assist the work of the Sion community-members and parishioners who will be visiting in the first week.
