THANK YOU: There is so much to be grateful for: to all who helped with the holy Week and Easter Services: those who prepared and decorated the church, all who read, all who acted as Eucharistic ministers, the choir , the altar servers who all did so very well, many of them taking part in the longer services for the first time; and not forgetting Sr Corinne and Chris Tedder who worked behind the scenes in the sacristy. And on top of all, that your great generosity in the many collections that took place !!! FR PATRICK CP: Fr Patrick’s family in Ireland have prepared a family celebration in honour of his 80th birthday and that of a cousin. He will be away for a week from Wednesday 11th and we wish him a very happy time and a good rest(if possible!!) This weekend let us keep Fr Charles CP in mind – his first anniversary occurs on Sunday 8th; and please remember too the family of little Eva Giles who died a year ago on 7 April. RIP. NEW DATA PROTECTION LAWS: As you may all be aware there is some new data protection legislation coming into force on 25th May 2018, which is going to impact on all of us. One of the responsibilities we will now have to undertake is to know who has access to the vast amount of personal information we hold in the parish. I know that a great number of you currently volunteer for the parish or may have done so in the past and may have some personal information at your home in a file and/or on a PC or laptop. Please could you let either me or (the parish secretary) know if this applies to you so that I can let you know what actions you will need to take going forward. The Archbishop is encouraging all of us to help implement these changes and I thank you in advance for your co‐operation.
