Saturday 21 April: St. Anselm “PARISH CELEBRATION”- last Saturday's event was a tremendous success thanks to so many involved. Parishioner’s food was delicious with special thanks to our Indian Community and to Carole Pease and Althea for their wonderfully decorated cakes. We are most appreciative of the Catholic Club's generous wine contribution. "Wow" we certainly have "Talent" in our Parish demonstrated by the variety of performances by both young & old. The night was so well attended (est.250) we may have to extend the Hall for future events! The SVP raffle raised £256- thanks Audrey & Terri. Thanks to all those who were able to attend, it clearly demonstrated the affection and appreciation we all have for Fr Mark & Fr Patrick. A big thank you to the organising team, those who came to prepare tables & decorations in advance, and for the floral table settings. Thank you to all those who laid out the food so beautifully and kept going through the evening keeping everything running smoothly and of course those able to stay late to clear up." BROTHER FRANCIS WELSH CP: Those of you who regularly attend the Saturday evening Mass or Morning Prayer and Morning Mass each weekday will know Bro Francis’s calm, gentle and smiling presence. He is very dear to our Passionist community where he does all sorts of background jobs with the greatest of care and dedication. We congratulate him on turning 90 on Thursday 19th and extend our sympathy to him on the loss of his elder brother, Bernard, whose funeral took place in Leeds on Tuesday. Our love and prayers are with you, Bro Francis!! NEW DATA PROTECTION LAWS: As you may all be aware there is some new data protection legislation coming into force on 25th May 2018, which is going to impact on all of us. One of the responsibilities we will now have to undertake is to know who has access to the vast amount of personal information we hold in the parish. I know that a great number of you currently volunteer for the parish or may have done so in the past and may have some personal information at your home in a file and/or on a PC or laptop. Please could you let either me or (the parish secretary) know if this applies to you so that I can let you know what actions you will need to
