FUNERAL: Tony Pozzetti’s Requiem which will take place on Friday 25th May at 12.00 mid‐day. FR. MARK: I’m afraid I have to be away again for a week, despite being only just back from a most uplifting and enjoyable 7 day pilgrimage to Fatima. My family of three brothers and two sisters have arranged a family week in some holiday cottages near Warwick to celebrate my birthday (again!) and to be able to spend time with quite a number of far‐flung cousins whom many of the family have not seen for quite a number of years. I will be away from 25 May to 1 June and try not to put on too much weight!!! ADOREMUS: is the name of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage and Conference taking place in Liverpool in September. We have two parish delegates, Peter and Marian Green, and they will be commissioned at the 9.30 Mass this weekend. We are grateful to them for taking on the responsibility of representing the parish at the Congress. FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: This year’s celebration will take place on Saturday June 2nd at 10.00. Please keep the families and children in your prayers.

IRISH REFERENDUM on the EIGHTH AMENDMENT, 25 MAY: In their Spring Statement the Irish Bishops wrote: “Article 40.3.3 is a declaration of equality and respect for human life. It represents, at the very foundations and substructure of our laws, a conviction that all human life is worth cherishing equally. To repeal this Article would leave unborn children at the mercy of whatever permissive abortion laws might be introduced in Ireland in the future. We invite people of faith to pray earnestly that Ireland will “choose life” and that the lives of all women and their unborn children will always be loved, valued, welcomed and respected in this country.” Let us keep 25 May at the forefront of our prayers. YOUTH GROUP – With increasing youth numbers, we are in desperate need of additional adult help in order to ensure the continuation of the club. Please contact: 01227 373497 if you are interested. WEDNESDAY LUNCH CLUB : Lunch club will be back as normal on Wednesday 13th June. SACRED HEARTS COMPANIONS IN PRAYER: All companions are requested to renew their commitment to the Sacred Heart at the 10.00 a.m. Mass on the Feast of the Sacred Heart, Friday 8th June. The "Parish Fayre” - has been postponed view of many important Parish events taking place on and immediately before 30th June and of course the possibility (!!!) of home teams reaching the next stage of World Cup on that day. The new date for this Parish Event will be advised soonest but is likelyto be late Summer/early Autumn.
