Wednesday 25th July St. James the Apostle. Thursday 26th July St. Joachim & St. Anne, parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary. FR PATRICK CP returns from his summer break this week. LET’S TALK: Monday 23 July, 7.00 pm at the Sisters’ House, 25 Western Esplanade: Topic: How are we to understand the words in the Our Father: “Deliver us from Evil”. What is the reality of evil? How are we to deal with it? Do people believe in a personal force of evil any longer? CONGRATULATIONS: to Duncan McCrae who celebrated his 90th birthday this week. Duncan , with his beautiful, soaring tenor voice, has been a mainstay of our parish choir for many years. Sadly, ill health has meant that he has not been able to come to church for several months now. But we wish him well and thank him for all that he has meant to us over the years. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHRISTIAN? Following on from the invitation from Peter Green in last week’s newsletter. Peter Green writes – “would you like to join in on a study/reflect on the Word of God? And do this in small groups in our own homes? Some would like to give this a try and we would like to know how many would like try it. Please let Peter Green know if you are interested” : his contact details: petergreenpeg@gmail.com or on his mobile: 0744354464 ADOREMUS MAGAZINE: We have a number of copies of this beautifully produced publication with many short and attractive articles on various aspects of the Eucharist. Highly recommended. £4.95 per copy
