NEWS FROM WALSINGHAM: Re-Dedication of England as the Dowry of Mary: During the course of 20182020 the statue of Our Lady of Walsingham from the Slipper Chapel at the Shrine will be taken to each Cathedral in England for a 3 day period of prayer as part of the preparation for the rededication of England as the Dowry of Mary in 2020. It marks almost 700 years since the original dedication instituted by King Henry II in 1381. These are challenging days for the Church in England and challenging days for the country too: the Bishops have inaugurated this time of prayer and pilgrimage to seek the intercession of Our Lady for our Church and our land.
