FEASTS DAYS THIS WEEK: Tuesday 13th November, St. Francis Xavier Cabrini. Friday 16th November St. Edmund of Abingdon. Saturday 17th November, St. Hilda, St. Hugh of Lincoln, St. Elizabeth of Hungary. APOSTOLATE OF ADORATION: Adoration will be from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00pm every Thursday, commencing on Thursday 22 November. The full list for the day is displayed on the display board near the Confessional. The only hour which is not well covered is 4.00 to 5.00 – so help to cover that hour would be greatly appreciated. We have a team of three who will ensure the smooth running of the apostolate: Marian and Peter Green and Dave Kendall – our most grateful thanks to them for accepting this role. There will be a special Mass to launch the programme which will take place on Thursday 15th November at 7.00 pm. We hope that everyone who has volunteered will be able to be present . l HERNE BAY STREET PASTORS: are having a Service in Thanksgiving for their work in the town on this SUNDAY NOVEMBER 11th at 6.30pm. The evening is being held at the Beacon Church on Sea St and will include a brief AGM and will conclude with a finger-buffet Social. All welcome to attend. There is a need for new Street Pastors and also for the Prayer Pastors who pray for the Pastors out on the streets on Friday nights. Several of our parishioners are involved and they find both roles very fulfilling. Maybe this will strike a chord with some of you???? MASS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE DIED IN THE COURSE OF THE YEAR : SATURDAY 17 NOVEMBER: 11.05 As has been the parish custom for several years now, a special Mass will be offered particularly for people who have died since this time last year. Families who have had a funeral through the parish this year will be contacted and invited to come; the names of those who have died will be read out. But anyone is welcome - it is open to all.


PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING, NOVEMBER 7TH; Amongst items discussed this last week were: Parish support for Sr Astrid’s School building plan in Congo -- internet access, courtesy of the Catholic Club, for the Retreat Hall; security lighting for the grotto, encouragement of the Apostolate of Adoration plan for allday Adoration on Thursdays; improvement of access to car-park in Club grounds. SACRED HEART COMPANIONS IN PRAYER: is this Weds. 14th Nov. at 7.00pm in the Convent Chapel 25, Western Esplanade. Members are asked to bring their bottles for the bottle stall at the Christmas Fayre. LUNCH CLUB: the next meal is on Wednesday 14th November. All welcome. Cheryl and Dave Manser extend an invitation to their renewal of marriage vows celebration at 2.00 on Saturday 23rd November. FLOWER GUILD: The Flower Guild would like to say a BIG Thank You to all Parishioners who have contributed to our appeal for Poppies and Stories, we were overwhelmed with the response. We hope you will like our Display. This Year, each Poppy represents a Life Lost in WW1, although we will not forget those Lives lost in all wars. flowerguild18@gmail.com THE CAMERATA SINGERS will be here for a return concert on Monday December 3rd …watch this space for further details CHRISTMAS CARDS & ADVENT CALENDERS – are available to purchase from the Repository Shop Now. CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY: 16 December. Our Catholic Social Club have this year invited children to their annual members’ children’s party in the Retreat Hall. Entrance is free – places are limited so please book asap by ringing Frank: 01227 652370 SVP –CHRISTMAS HAMPERS - the SVP will be delivering Christmas Hampers to those in need . Support from Parishioners would be much appreciated for donations to our food bank for - Christmas cake, pudding, chocolates, and biscuits plus tins of salmon, fruit, ham and custard. There is also need extra tea, coffee, jam, marmalade, cereals and gravy granules. Thank you. PANTO SEASON! – It’s Panto time (Oh yes it is!) – Dick Whittington & his cat. To gift-aid your offering please fill in one of the forms at the back of Church. " CHRISTIAN MEDITATION: Tuesday 2.15 pm; Thursday 7.30 pm. In the Upper Room. All welcome Adoration every weekday: 8.30-9.30a.m. Wednesdays: also after Mass till 12.00 Also Saturday morning, 10.00 to 11.00 with Rosary at 10.45., said for the Parish each week. There is a further opportunity each week: at Convent Chapel, 25 Western Esplanade from 3.00 to 4.00pm on Fridays.
