The festive mood of the meal this Wednesday was enhanced by the singing of children from St Mary’s School who entertained us for a special half hour before the meal was served. Thanks for another lovely occasion!! GOOD NEWS FROM HERNE BAY BOCCIA: The Boccia Club, providing indoor bowls for people with handicap, has been meeting in our Hall for the last 5 years. It has also inspired the game of Boccia in other parts of Kent and this week it was awarded top prize in the Gerald Turley Awards for being the most active in bringing benefit to a local community. The prize was a cheque for £1,000. Well done and richly deserved!! The Boccia Club provides opportunities for people with all levels of handicap to engage in a sport which is fun, a challenge to build skill, a way of meeting people and of getting out of closed environments. It is Good News.
