HONG KONG – The sky’s the limit when it came to celebrating Keypad Magazine’s 4th anniversary. On 9th December, the jubilant occasion was set against the iconic skyline at Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck – the 100th floor of the city’s tallest building, International Commercial Centre (ICC). Set to the theme Astro, the exclusive cocktail party laid the premise for an unparalleled celestial experience by shining light on contemporary and futuristic luxury lifestyle. KEYPAD was first conceptualized by founders Dr. Antonio Sek and Mr. Dixon Wu with the motivations to create a condensed luxury lifestyle guide to enrich working professionals who are too busy to be reached via mainstream avenues. Debuting in 2011, the magazine not only broke conventions with its atypical compact size, but also became the first bilingual luxury lifestyle magazine in Hong Kong to deliver directly to high net worth professionals and influential individuals. Since then, KEYPAD has grown from strength to strength with its growing targeted readership, distribution points and diverse collaborations with luxury organisations. Continuing to set sights beyond local shores, this year marked a significant milestone with the expansion into Macau. Mr. Dixon Wu, Founding Director of KEYPAD shared, “The past four years have been a trying journey of trials and errors, but our passion has remained constant. The growing support we have only motivates us to be bigger and better – we see no reason why not to extend our passion of enriching readers with the best luxury lifestyle contents to our vibrant sister city. ” Apart from the gorgeous view at this year’s party, guests were treated to a scrumptious array of food by The Butchers’ Club, fine wine from Liquid Assets and refreshing German beer from Neuschwansteiner. Luggage brand Hartmann put up an entertaining catwalk showcase, while luxury brands DAKS, Oris, Haywards, SOUL and Decor8 gave guests an up close preview of their latest collections. In collaboration with ARKRU, an Arts Corner was created to enliven and engage guests through live portrait drawing, Qiezi’s photobooth, urban photography artwork from socialdocumentary photographer Jason Sung and abstract sculptures from Israeli artist Arik Levy exhibited by Pékin Fine Arts. In the spirit of giving for Christmas this year, funds from donation boxes and a percentage of proceeds from artworks sold at the event were raised for Feeding Hong Kong – a charity organisation with the mission to fight hunger and reduce food wastage in Hong Kong. Last but not least, attractive prizes and gifts were also provided by our generous sponsors – including Bupa, Chiron Medical, Delta Airlines, Singapore Gold Exchange, Essensuals by Toni & Guy, La Maison du Chocolat, MOViE MOViE and YellowKorner. Allinall, the celebration was the KEYPAD team’s gesture to thank distinguished readers, supporters, expert contributors and partners for helping to build the magazine to what it is today. We look forward to see you again with more exciting events for the brand new year.
