Visualisation Studio Studio: Fictional Spaces Faculty: Jay Thakkar

This studio dwelled into imagination of spaces for fictional world where we were supposed to imagine spaces for a famous bollywood villain in the context of an animated movie.

Skills Sketching Softwares used Photoshop

Interpreting Hokusai This exercise was to look at the staircase of Faculty of Architecture building through the eyes of Hokusai and interpret a famous art piece by him i.e. The Great Wave Off Kanagawa. Decoding the thematic components of the artist, choosing an art piece and understanding it, Making a colour palette of it and then interpreting it into a space.

Making a bollywood villian into an anime. We dwelled into watching anime movies and then changing a famous bollywood villian in that movie contect which in this case is Castle in the sky Laputa by Studio Ghibli. The stylisation of the poster is done in the way Ghibli does it.

Creating a Fictional Space The space are made for Kamlak Jaadugar from the movie Hatim Tai in the context of Howls Moving Castle. The room shown here is the sacrificing room where the humans are sacrificed and converted to dark magic potions.

Torture Room made for torturing people before sacrificing them to the dark lord. The room is full to give the humans a slow death. The room being in a dungeon has absolutely no lights and as one enters on can smell rancid blood and can feel the dark nature surrounding the room.
