Located in Velavadar National Park, Gujarat The site was in the middle of desert. On one side it faced a waterbody and dry land on other. A mound with 4 m drop was present on the dry land side with a babool tree in the center

Post the site visit we had to choose a characterstic quality of the site and had to explain it via hypothetical part sections. The quality that stood out to me was the vastness of sky and experiencing it.

User, Intent, Adjacencies
The users are a group of young enthusiasts who are passionate towards sky and want to observe and study it as the place has no pollution hence the celestial bodies can be seen clearly. The intent is to provide a house and machan for the user group which makes them experience a vastness of sky and frames them on different scales.
Inspired from the concrete observation decks present on site The idea is to make the house stand out on site and frame the surroundings. The main element used in the design is stairs
