he Christmas season is full with excitement for families and relatives. However, preparing the house for the festive season is tasking and involves a lot of energy. It is always difficult to know where to start from, but planning ahead will give you a better chance to prepare well. Firstly, clean the house; from cobwebs to other dirt like dust. Weed the surroundings and burn the refuse. It can be tasking to achieve all this. Therefore, it is necessary to delegate tasks to members of the family to help accomplish good work and in good time too. Secondly, redecorate the house by changing the position of the cushions and television and create more space by taking unnecessary furniture out, set up a Christmas tree where everyone can see and use beautiful lighting and ornaments to decorate the house to give you a comfortable and soft touch. Thirdly, display your homemade decoration which can be cost effective, by using paper to make kits and other simple bits to keep the home beautiful. Decorate outside the house: there are so many ways to enhance the Christmas spirit of your home through simple but yet unique outdoor decoration. Make a difference this Christmas by giving your home a bold and beautiful sight to behold.

which I ran for two years. Then I said to myself, “You are wasting space for just a restaurant” and the restaurant came with a lot of challenges. So that made me relocate the restaurant to Kaduna and convert the space to an events centre, which is better, and it came with less wahala. I am running more than three businesses at the moment: Glam Professional Nig. Ltd (events management and events hall), Green Gardens (poultry and farm) and MSTS Ventures (a transportation company). I have built a reliable team that manages all the businesses and I have been with them for years. These people are my backbone and I must say I am the luckiest to have such trusted people handling my businesses. However, honestly, my passion is my NGO. I put in my all in it because it gives me peace and it is the secret for the growth of all my businesses. The more I touch lives the more positive turnover in each of my businesses, Alhamdulillah. Challenges Challenges are part of life and are inevitable. Everybody faces challenges but how you tackle it is what matters. I have gone through a lot in my personal and professional life but I see it now as a lesson and blessing. Till date, challenges keep coming, and I am not afraid of facing them because I know one thing for Educational background I attended nursery, primary and junior secondary at Essence International School in Kaduna and my senior secondary at FGGC Minjibir and Abubakar Gumi College. I then did a Diploma in Educational Management at the Bayero Univeristy, Kano (BUK), and a BSc in Sociology at the University of Abuja. I have also done a Certificate in Leadership Communication at Harvard University, and another at the Lagos Business School in Managing Government Relations. Growing up I grew up in a very comfortable home with a dad that is a politician and a mother who’s a lawyer. These two beautiful people made me become what I am today and they have given me the best that every child would ever pray for. I pray for God to continue to protect them. My career as an entrepreneur and a philanthropist I believe that generosity is part of Islam. I have been touching lives for so many years and I decided to register an NGO, Green Heart Impact Foundation, and bring people of like-minds to be part of
the team to assist and empower the less privileged through innovative programmes that address root causes of poverty. This organisation was established to positively change lives in communities across Nigeria and ensure preservation of life, improvement in the standard of living, as well as the provision and support of sustainable livelihoods. The NGO has so far embarked on a project “No To Girl Child Hawking In Nigeria” #booksovertrays where 10 girl child hawkers, between 10 and 15 years, from the 36 states of Nigeria would be taken off the streets and put back in school, taking care of their three years of junior secondary school fees, boarding requirements: mattresses, blankets, mosquito nets, pillows, provisions and pocket money; school materials: sandals, bags, etc. and at the same time strategically empowering their mothers/guardians against a regress to street hawking. So far we have delivered in five states and we wish to continue next year Insha Allah. Three years back, I never thought of joining the events industry, or even opening an events hall. The space for my events centre was a restaurant

I am 35 weeks pregnant. My doctor did a scan and told me I have placenta previa Grade IV and that I have to be operated. I bled about two days ago. Must I deliver through caesarean section (CS)? – Hauwa, Katsina Placenta previa occurs when placenta is implanted in the lower segment or lower part of the uterus instead of the upper or fundal part of the uterus. Placenta previa is usually classified into four types: I to IV. While type II is subdivided into Types IIa and IIb. Types I and type IIa are classified as minor degree, while Type IIb to Type IV are major degree. Another classification is symptomatic placenta previa. This second classification helps to simplify management. Symptomatic means no symptoms: which means no bleeding. This means the patient with placenta previa has had one or more episodes of bleeding. Quite a high percentage of patients with placenta previa are symptomatic and usually are diagnosed on routine ultrasound scan. All cases of major degree placenta previa are delivered by CS. In this case the placenta is covering the internal cervical os, when there is cervical dilatation; the placenta bed will start separating, which will result in bleeding PV and it could be torrential. Therefore, the only option of delivery is CS. All women with symptomatic placenta previa are also advised to have CS even for minor degree placenta previa. This has to be done by an experienced obstetrician because of risks. Complications could include uncontrollable haemorrhage from the placenta bed and placenta acreta.
No interest, no feeling and painful intercourse I don’t seem to have feeling for sex. My husband finds it difficult to get me interested in sex; and to make matters worse, I sometimes experience painful intercourse – Ife, Lagos Had you any unpleasant sexual experience prior to marriage: any history of rape or sexual abuse? How is the family life: any tension in the home? There are some people who have apathy for sex. You need to discuss openly with your husband. You have to also prepare yourself psychologically. Concerning the pains: is it superficial or on deep penetration? If it is superficial, lubrication may help. In deep dysparenua, infection or things like endometriosis have to be excluded. I suggest the two of you should see a gynaecologist.
Drugs for staphylococcus Kindly recommend drugs for me. I did a test and was told I have staphylococcus and streptococcus. Why the two: what d I do to avoid such in future? – Chuks, Abuja We have stated that staphylococcus infection alone is not as deadly compared to other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). A lot of quacks have used it ignorantly and sometimes dubiously to exploit people. However, since the result shows combined staphylococcus and streptococcus, it is a mixed infection which is a common finding in sexually transmitted diseases. Take the result to your family physician for prescription based on sensitivity pattern. The prescription is likely to be a combination of antibiotics. Complete treatment should be taken to avoid complications of improperly treated STDs.
Conception after menses When can pregnancy test be positive: how soon after my menses can I check for pregnancy? – Lola, Kabba Check with serum pregnancy test as early as two or three days after missed period. But with urine test it takes longer.
